Is there an easy way to find a decent amount of korok seeds, a good guide maybe? I only have 13.

After you progress in the game you'll notice the patterns and cues letting you know you're close. I'm not finding all of them either but you'll accidentally find at least 200 if you're paying attention

This is very true. There's a language to Korok puzzles that you learn quite quickly. You just know which stone will have a Korok under it. While they blend in with the landscape, Korok puzzles are usually quite conspicuous. You always know one when you see one.

Oh wow, I just encountered my very first bear and because I still had fire arrows equipped, he burnt brutally to death. It was horrible - I don't wanna see something like that ever again :(

Yeah it's a lot of fun when you figure out the different ways to get the seeds. You'll start wracking them up after a while. I wouldn't bother with a guide tbh.

Man that snowball game sure breaks the economy.

One thing I liked about BotW was that Rupees arens so readily available anymore and you gotta spend a lot more to get some
basic armor or unluck fairy fountains.

Now the snowball game you just have to spend 10 minutes and you can easily earn 10000 rupees or more by simply rolling a ball down a hill....

Make the guy bankrupt after two tries or limit the game to two per day or something

Took me 30 hours to beat my first beast dungeon, now I'm sitting at 60 hours and have 3 dungeons completed so I picked up the pace a bit. Will probably unlock the rest of the map (two towers left) do a couple of shrines and then head for the 4th dungeon.

It's always amazing when you think "ah, this one rock must be a Korok place" and poof it is.

I got a strike and I can't remember the reward being that outstanding. Does it change on repeat wins?

That said I pretty much broke the econ by my excessive ore mining.

It doesn't change but neither does the game course. So it becomes basically completely consistent if you figure out a good spot to toss the snowball to keep getting 300 rupees.

If you have a free slot the first time you get a weapon.

You don't need stealth gear cause that one is 100 visibility not sound based.

Beat it on my second try.

This is not completely true. Mild path spoilers:
When he is in the tree trunk tunnel I ran past him outside of it, he heard that and came around to look where the noise came from.

The worst thing I've seen was in Akkala. Two Fire Keese descended in some tall grass just as a wolf was howling for its pack to rally around me. The Keese set a big wall of grass on fire as they approached that spread in the wind. The wolves all ran right through the fire they each ignited with a yelp.

But they didn't turn and run or anything. They kept running around in circles and spreading fresh fire all around us. I opened my paraglider to catch the updraft and get on the other side of the fire. The first wolf died in a puff of smoke, breaking the pack, and signaling to the other two wolves to flee. They took off in different directions, streaking and spreading flames everywhere, and both died in a puff about two seconds apart.

It was really sad and horrible. I didn't like it.

Regarding Link's memories with Zelda...

Why is Zelda only able to use her power right before Link dies? Is this explained anywhere?
All the other memories show her fighting
with an extreme disconnect with her destined role both emotionally and spiritually.
It's only in that last instance when her companion
is literally on the brink of death that she finally connects with her purpose and the powers that come with it.

Honestly I didn't care for that aspect. They keep stressing the urgency of your mission, but the main quest sends you on field trips and main NPC's willfully hold back resources and information from you until you do them a favor. And it's not like those memories are gone forever, anyway. Why can't Link just... dunno, remember later? Ganon is literally about to destroy the whole world; memories can wait a goddamn second.

To be fair, Gannon has literally been about to destroy the whole world for 100 years straight, so a few more days/weeks isn't going to matter all that much. At least, based on Impa's demeanor, I didn't expect the world to end immediately
.

If you have any empty weapon slots he gives you a wand I think, but if you are full he gives you 300 rupees. So basically, get full inventory, get 300 rupees a bowl, break the economy. I really loved it once I had completed the game as an easy way to get money. Those Fairy Fountains, man. Ladies ain't cheap.

This is a good map that shows how many Shrines are in each zone, but not exactly where they are. Could be useful if you are nearing the final total and finding it hard to even guess where more could be, but don't want to be told outright.

Thanks a lot! I only have 3 shrines missing, I´m going to wrap up other stuff and hopefully I´ll come across them but if I end up getting stuck this will be incredibly helpful.

Ganon already beat you once, so I think it´s wise to take your time becoming as powerful as you can before facing him again. Also, remembering makes Link more motivated, it´s not the same going after the guy who destroyed a Kingdom and killed some people you don´t know that going after the bastard who killed all your friends (and possibly your love interest), destroyed the place where you lived and has been causing suffering to the girl you swore to protect for 100 years.

The reason why exploration is so enjoyable in this game is mainly because of the very clean visual style. There is very little in terms of clutter and everything that is of interest stands out. The typical "see that mountain? You can climb it" is true but not only for mountains. See that little forest? You can reach it. See that odd looking rock? Go have a look. That's where I think other open world games fail in exploration. Where world features don't stand out and you have to rely on mini maps and indicators to find your way.

Oh, yeah I must have got a weapon!

I discovered a cool trick with the snowboarding course, for those who want the Kite shield. I wanted one as the two I found from chests in Hebra broke and I couldn't find another except for the one in Selmie's house. Doing the course well doesn't reward it, but doing badly and finishing around 2:15 gets the Kite shield. That said it's not hanging in her house anymore, so I haven't checked to see whether you can get it again or if it's a one time thing.

Seems like different times rewards different shields. I just assumed it was the same shield every time until I veered off course, got a bad time, and ended up getting something different.

Yeah in other openworld games I ended up looking more at the minimap or when I looked at the map was just to see where the next objective was. In BotW sometimes I look at the map to discover suspicious peaks, canyons, ponds of water and such that may be hiding something cool. I´m actually using the map like you would IRL, to learn how the geography of the area is and look for paths and destinations.

Any tips to get better times? Is there some technique to shieldboarding or you just have to find the shortest possible path?

Guys, I need some hint and some help with a Gerudo sidequest:
It's about the eigth warrior

I feel like I have looked everywhere in the mountains - the only thing I've found so far is a big stoned sword that might belong to the warrior statue (I assume it's a statue?), but even nearby I've searched everywhere and not found anything...

The shadow in this game is
cooler in the desert

After 120 hours of playing.
This game keeps on delivering.

Take a picture of the sword. It will come in handy.

The statue is near the edge. You may find it on the map.

Going by memory, but i think it's roughly Northwest of the thing you found. It should be off a giant cliff edge.

This is a really good point. There's really the perfect level of detail, where everything looks interesting, but if there was something *really* interesting, it stands out and you'll know right away.

Finally got around to trying out my Wolf Link amiibo with this game. I should have done it a long time ago.

Wolf Link is an auto-farming war machine.

Ok my girlfriend got the Switch last night and we started the game (She's a Zelda fanatic, this is my first one).

We got to the second Shrine (with the bomb). Is there a way to defeat those guards that appear before you get to the shrine?

Even at the start, you can take them out with arrows and bombs and a lot of patience, but the rewards for doing so aren't really worth it.

Because of a friend, I didn't get to play the game for a full week, now I finally got to get back into the game and reached
Zora's Domain and finding out some more information on Link's past with Miphia.

I always like it when Link's main love interest, if he is to have one, is NOT Zelda. Makes Link feel less like a typical hero and more complex. Don't often see the hero save the princess and then go "well, better go home to my girlfriend now". Plus, they've been friends since childhood, so it doesn't feel like it was just an infatuation that Mipha had with Link, but honest feelings.

I don't like Sidon.

I couldn't help but be reminded of XC soundtrack at certain parts of the game. Rito village theme is something that could fit right into XC, for example.

I got that feeling, as well. The Rito track in particular was of course more of a reminder of Wind Waker, but with other tunes I also thought that.

You can also parry them to death with the pot lid; which should still apply at the beginning of the game. But the timing might take a little while to get right.

Holy shit I just saw lighting destroy one of those big mushroom shaped things. It left a big log for wood. I always assumed those were rocks not big trees.

It's not really worth it. Later on you'll have the skills to easily dispatch them.

He looks good with trousers of the wild. Well, he looks good at any clothes he wears anyway. No wonder everybody's thirsty for Link-kun.

Link is perfect in this game. The most attractive he's ever been imo. It will be hard to top that design in the future.

Well, they could reuse his BotW design and make him show more emotions, that would be a beginning, I guess.

Yeah, Breath of the Wild Link is easily the coolest and most bad-ass take on the character yet, while still being able to feel like a bit of a goofy seventeen year old. He's right up there with Toon Link for me as far as best Link designs go.

I still don't know where the emptyness some people talk about is. Maybe near the Death Mountain? But I've found treasure chests and Koroks there...

Not really applicable to new players, though. You'd need to learn the timing but you get one-hit killed if you get it wrong.

Probably the same people that are spitting on Ubisoft for putting too much things to do in the open world. People that never try to understand a global picture (why is it sometimes empty, barren, not filled with things to do)
