Aw don't ruin his disappointmentThe photoshopped version?
Resurrection had a QueenAre you talking about expanded universe stuff? I only remember one Queen from the main series.
I would love it if Scott conveniently continued to keep his mythology compartmentalized away from Cameron and the others. I would assume people who have a strong aversion to modern Scott/Prometheus would want the same.
This poster, though. Wow.
It was a well done photoshop, to be fair. Just subtle enough.Oh I see now you sneaky ass bastards, I didn't see the original on the last page lmao. Well played, it totally looked legit on mobile.

Also, the Queens always looked similar when spawned by a human.
Look at the horns that we can see on this one, way to big differences for another human spawned Queen.
You could be a scientist in Prometheus.
A cloned Queen, yeah. Does that count? Maybe I misunderstood your wording.
I thought you were talking about Queens coming from nonhumans in the main series, and I was confused by that. I thought maybe you were referring to expanded universe stuff.
Hey man, insulting another poster's intelligence is bad taste around these parts.
I've completely missed this! Do you have a source on Scott's words and the art (if that's public)?
In the scenario you bring up, while being conflicted about it being Shaw, I might be fine with that. That's a very loose definition of a "Queen" being in a Scott film, so it circumvents my hangups.

Scott and McBride both believe Covenant will cast Prometheus in a new and better light.
Won't click on that but sounds great!Scott teases Alien:Covenant prologue that sheds new light on David and Prometheus: http://www.alien-covenant.com/news/...-covenant-prologue-footage-with-david-weyland
Wow, be careful as its pretty spoilery but this is the stuff I'm really interested about and am glad Scott is still answering some lingering questions that Prometheus left us hanging with. Every time I think I can't get any more pumped for this movie, well...I do!
May 9th can't get here soon enough.

Higher-res for those curious.
Huh, wonder if that means Prometheus Davidis the original David that Weyland created, not just the latest series or model released before Prometheus begins. That would make him between 60-80 years old when the movies take place.

Shouldn't an Engineer be physically able to prevent a facehugger from latching onto it? I mean one that had been hibernation for millennia, put up a struggle against the big ass trilobite. In the comics, which probably aren't considered cannon, the Engineers are powerful enough to physically restrain Yautja and Xenomorph FLEE from them! I don't see their society being wiped out by Xenomorph, especially with the Engineers level of technology, unless they were all impregnated during sleep.
Unless the spores or some other proto bio weapon wipes them out.Shouldn't an Engineer be physically able to prevent a facehugger from latching onto it? ...Scott promises this sequence will really get people going because its fucking smart for a change.
Guess that was an extremely limited offer, then!Someone also mentioned that in the Covenant Walter commercial he says "We are Walter" and in the Prometheus one he says "I am David."

I've only seen the main series, but I feel like I'm missing something. Do we know where the Aliens come from? I guess I mean their true "origins". Is it the goo? Were they created by the engineers? Was it explained and I just can't remember? Should I care?
OK maybe I'm reaching but what if Fassbender is being literal in his following quote from a just released interview:
How has Davids relationship with Shaw changed over ten years?
FASSBENDER: Like any good marriage. [Laughs.] Theres a real affection there between the two of them. I think they get on each others nerves. Well, he gets on her nerves rather. But I suppose they went through quite a lot together in Prometheus. So there is a bond there, for sure.
My thoery: what if David uses the black goo to meld his head with Shaw's body? The way he says "he gets on her nerves" and that they have a "bond." I could be totally reaching but if it turns out to be true than you'll know how sneaky Fassbender was being here.
Sounds stupid enough to be made realYou think David is going to have breasts, is what you're saying?

Looks to be the case.Playyy me that mountain music, like grandma and grampa used to play
Edit:
That's a better spot below than the one above. Both are still awful. Dog tagsare Shaw's confirmed
Edit 2: also is thatShaw in the hologram? Being used as a bio bomb on the engineers?
It's their attempt at viral marketing. The backwards name is also the name of an Instagram account with an expanded trailer. What's with the #emohemekat at the end, why backwards?
