The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

Now that I've found all shrines, done all the quests, and upgraded just about all my armor I am extremely envious of people still experiencing the game. At least I still have a few hundred koroks to find. The DLC can't get here soon enough.

I actually dread upgrading armor more than the korok seeds. I'm going to start on the seeds after I get the last two
monster medals.

120 Shrines achieved! Had to pull a guide for the last three. (Although I think I would've got one of them on my own, I had a suspicion about the spot it was at.) Funnily, my final Shrine was a Minor Trial of Strength which I beat in about four seconds.

The gear reward is a nice touch. I happened to have enough dragon parts to upgrade the whole set to 2 stars... I'm definitely not going to go catch 15 dang beetles to carry on upgrading so I think I'm probably done. Ended with 337 Korok Seeds, fully upgraded Weapon and Bow slots, I think I'm close on Shields, too? But I got a Hylian Shield so what's even the point of finishing the upgrades off?

A really A+ special game. Just delightful.

Drops fire spear next to ice block in order to thaw it, hoping for treasure

> Ice block turns out to be a frozen moblin

> Moblin picks up fire spear used to free him and then proceeds to almost kill me with it

> Narrowly escape by riding the updraft created by the fires started by the moblin using my fire spear

> Moblin falls down a cliff to his death while trying to catch me... takes the spear with him :(

120 shrines reward question

So what's the implication/meaning
behind the Tunic of the Wild? It's basically the NES outfit right, so are they saying there's a direct connection?

I like this a reward btw,
it's a really cool set

About one of the shrine sidequests in the forest:
I'm currently at the end of the Korok stealth mission and I don't quite know what to do at the very end - he reached the end and is standing at the shrine. Should I reveal myself now and talk to him? I think I've read some frustrating things about this missions, so I don't wanna risk to have it reset again.

I think it's just a choice made as a result of the many other ways BoTW refers to the first game; not necessarily implying anything story-wise. They had to include
a green tunic in the base game somewhere, and due to those influences it probably felt like a classic throwback was a better fit than a more standard 'Adult Link' design.

I'd have liked to see concept art of any other directions they were planning on taking it in...

You can talk to him once he stops.

Yes, speak to him.

I'm using pro HUD though the normal HUD is fine, and other than clutter doesn't effect the exploration for the worse or anything imo. What does though, and I wish was default, is turning the Shrine sensor off. I've had so many amazing Shrine discoveries that I can only imagine being completely ruined by a beeper. Though admittedly, I think once I reach 110 I'll turn it.

The ruinous part is not the beeper helping you to find shrines. It's the constant obnoxious beeping! ;)

i have just one memory that i need to find, judging from the album picture most definitely in
hyrule castle
. but i don't want to do the final fight yet, will i trigger a potential point of no return if i want to get my final memory?

No, you can exit the castle at any time through the menu after entering. There is an introduction cutscene, but it doesn't lock you into anything.

Hitting Koroks in the head with rocks is way more entertaining than it should be.

Now that I've got decent inventory space and the repetition has set in, Korok seeds aren't as exciting to find anymore so quickly dumping the rock back onto its head seems like a fitting "meh" reaction to their over-excitement, haha.

One time I dropped a rock on its head and it bounced and hit it again. I was really happy about that.

Gerudo:
I sat in on the relationship class for the first time. Risa is lucky she's not behind bars somewhere.

It's possible to walk into the final boss without realizing it, but there's never a point of no return. If you reach the boss just reload your last save.

Yeah, it's really obvious the area that triggers the final fight, and the location name
Sanctum
floats up before you actually enter. Even then, reloading your save is easy.

Heh now that you mention it, didn't realize it
was the only non-amiibo green outfit in the game... Seeing as it's probably one of the final things you'll get in the game, it really is a great 'full circle' homage to the original.

I have 10 sidequests left, but I think it's about time to say goodbye. Are there any must play sidequests like
Tarrey town
I may have missed? I've checked most big towns and even stables and I still have a few not discovered.

so, a certain NPC wants 10k to help me out

i have like 1k and a few diamonds, how the hell do you make that much money

I sold lots of ores to make money over the course of the game even if some are used for some armour upgrades, seemed more useful to have lots of money. You can also hunt certain types of meat to combine and sell for near 500 Rupees a piece. Lots of people recommend spamming easy to to abuse minigames.

Hunting in the Hebra Towers will get you tons of raw gourmet meat which you can sell at a certain staple for 100 rupees each, mining in the goron mines will get you tons of luminous stones which you can trade in Zora village for a diamond, abusing the bowling mini game... there are tons of ways to make money! :) General exploring the area and finding treasure chests will also bring in results.

Treasure gambling game. Abuse the save feature.

wait where's that at again? i have the full map open now!

oh yeah, ores have been my biggest moneymakers...shame i spent so much on this house, haha

I haven't heard the final boss music yet, but this one time I got too close to the castle and the minimap changed and the music changed and it was so EPIC I nope'd out of there quick as fuck. I'll be back when I'm ready to end it.

I really really recomend peopel to do hyrule castle early, I didt it after 2 beasts and the final boss battle was different than when I did it with all beast cleared. Plus even if I got out of the castle with "overpowered" weapons, by the time I got to the next beast all of them were already broken

Thinking of buying a 2nd hand Wii u for Botw.
Can anyone tell me,

can you play it on the gamepad screen if you turn the TV off?

Also, can you play other games like Mario etc on the gamepad screen with the TV off?
My son wants to play Mario and Kirby etc but i don't want him taking over the TV

Thanks in advance

1. Yes. Ive played a few hours on the gamepad only with the tv off.

2. Depending on the game you may be able to play on the gamepad. You will have to find out if the game you want to buy is playable on the pad only.

I am very early on but still lost. I die very often and have no idea what items/ores/food does. There is fun in no sense of directiond discovery, which I actually do love in game. But so far the mechanics, world and atmosphere are clicking with me, but sense of progress and direction is not. I sure could run to the next yellow dot but that seems like a waste?

It really depends on how you want to play the game, you are not required to do any quest at all, so you could just wander aroundm, upgrade your equipment and go to ganon without clearing any quest.

Try buying and upgradng your armor so exploring is easier.

The thing is I have no money - I could sell ores but my guess is I use those for crafting a bit later? I have not seen any upgrade or crafting options yet. maybe I should run to the next yellow dot... I always feel like I did miss something.

Gem crafting is late game and is more aesthetic preference than anything. Feel free to unload your stones, you'll find a ton more.

Sell them, you can get a lot of them easily by exploring some mountains. Plus try looking for hamers or axes in stables or towns, there are always some around that you can pick up, use those to get wood/ore to sell.

In that village with fishing port close to the coast on lower right quadrant. Close to where that isolated island is for secret shrine

Before entering the Castle and face Ganon, how many arrows (ice, bomb, etc) should I stock up? Thanks.

Maybe 20 regular arrows. You'll find arrows in castle most likely.

Okay thanks, I will just sell them then. I do really hate getting tips for such a game because I usually play them blind like Souls games, but I felt a bit lost and aimless. Maybe still do then, heh.
