The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

That was enough to expand the weapons by 4 or 5 slots iirc and bows/shields twice. Most weapons break quickly so there is always some room, at the end of the game I still had 80% of weapons I was keeping "in case" like fire/thunder/loads of guardian ones. and once you have that sword, you don't need much more :P

Oh and that place
(the house you can buy)
to store some of them.

There is a place where you can find each type of weapon (lance, 1h, 2h) for each element, so there no need for saving the elemental weapons either.

There was a video of some other game devs talking about breath of the wild, can anybody link it to me? I can't find it anywhere.

As for my zelda story today, had an epic entrance towards
Gerudo desert
. Involved a guardian firing lazors at me as I dodged while gliding down the cliffside and then getting surprised smacked a few kilometers down by a golden Talus mini boss. Suffice to say I was laughing a lot, this game is something special

Alright folks, I think tonight's the night I storm Hyrule Castle. How many
Ancient Arrows
should I take with me, and is any of the
Ancient armor
worth it?

I just thought of something. What happens if you get a heart container from a dungeon while having max hearts from doing all the shrines? Can you not take the container, or does it convert to stamina?

Just thought about it because
if you can't, that means that any DLC that gives you a heart container to fill in the remaining upgrades might suck if for example its at the bottom of the Cave of Trials and you have 30 hearts. I'm hoping additional challenges are shrines for these upgrades.

Does this overwrite old saves if I choose New Game from the menu? I want to show my friends this weekend but I think they'd like to see it from the beginning but I don't want to lose my save.

You have to use another user account I've heard otherwise you'll lose the save

oooh wheeeeere is it ?

I just used bomb arrows, really wish they weren't so OP on bosses, really made my fight with Ganon (and 3/4 of the other "Ganons") trivial :/

Then again I'm sure having Master Sword helped a lot as well. I'm sure it'd be a bit different w/o. Seriously why is Ganon such a pushover compared to Vah Naboris' boss.

You only need lots and lots of food. You will get the weapons inside. Armor doenst matter, cant get 1hko if you are at full health

What are your fav weapon types?

I really love sword and shield, but spears are a close second. Establishing and maintaining reach vs mobile enemies feels really good in this combat system to me. I just like shields for parries a LOT.

Heavy weapons are probably what I should be using more than I do since each hit does more damage. Less hits = less durability damage, and when you draw a lot of flurry rushes, those hits stack up quickly with smaller swords and spears. After I started getting more flurry rushes, I noticed my spears in particular start seeming reeeeeally brittle due to their high rate of attack.

Unless I am imagining all this and it's not a per-hit but per-damage-done calculation in regard to durability. Anyone looked into this? It feels per-hit to me, but I am not overly observant when freaking out over a game.

Make a dummy "Guest" account for this purpose. It's very useful for showing off games to friends without messing with your personal saves on any game.

Where can I get Royal Swords? I just killed like 3 Lynels in a row (So difficult) and all my royal blades are broken.

Hinoxes drop Royal stuff in many cases. I've looted them from higher level bokoblins and moblins too, but I guess that probably depends on what's spawning for you currently. Sometimes they even have Durability Up :)

The Gerudo questline absolutely blows the rest of the main quest out of the water. I never want to leave the desert. I am glad I saved it for last because it's unequivocally my favorite part of the game.

This is my favorite outfit in the game. Everything about the Hylian set is dope. The sand boots however takes the outfit to another level. Looks adventurous af.

I lost progress a few times from dying. Anyone else have the auto save not work out?

I purchase a an outfit and like 15 minutes later died and I had to go and purchase the same outfit again because it did not auto save

Guardians continue to vex me. They walk too fast to intercept and just blast the hell out of you. Must need to get a speed boost, or ambush them.

I'm flush with ancient parts now, at least. Yay!

Shoot them in the eye with a normal arrow to stun them before rushing them. Or approach from above.

You prolly didn't do anything or traverse enough of importance to warrant an auto-save. :P

Just
parry
them. Easy peasy once you do it a couple times.

Spent a good chunk of time today riding my horse all along roads. Hitting every stable, etc. I now have a much greater appreciation for horse and there use.

My advice to those just starting out, learn to use horses as your lower elevation survey tool and point of interest marking tool. There also great when out hunting.

Btw what how are you using your pins context wise? What pin icon means what to you on your map?

Wow, just came upon a pretty cool shrine near Goron City. Most of them have been pretty quick and easy, which is fine by me as I imagine it would become a pain after the 20th time, but this one had some thought to it.

Just wanted to check in. Is the Wii-U version of the game OK? Like, it's not a major drop in quality compared to the Switch version, is it?

I found it OK. There are noticeable frame drops in different places, particularly in towns.

It was jarring going from playing Nioh on PS4 Pro in action mode at 60fps, to playing BotW on my 4K TV at 720p with a bad frame rate sometimes.

But the game is fun enough that you get over it.

Had some slowdown at times, but other than that I've had a blast with it.

Might end up visiting Hyrule Castle a second time to actually walk through it instead of skipping everything on my way to Ganon, but other than that I don't actually feel the need to keep playing the game any more than I already have until dlc ships.

Side note to my horse comment above, traveling all the roads by horse did highlight the frame rate issue. Some spots were much worse than I ever expected sadly.

You also get some exquisite vistas by traveling on the main roads.

One of the most jaw dropping moments in the game is arriving at Rito Stable from the south over Kolami Bridge and then through the tunnel. It felt like when I drove out of the tunnel and saw the Yosemite Valley for the first time. Fucking incredible, especially if you do this after beating the Rito Dungeon.

Took me a while but I got used to the horses and their quirks.

Did anyone else notice the little Gerudo girl farming her Watermelons under the water fountain in Gerudo Town? If you follow the waterfall up to the roofs and follow the stream, you'll find a Gerudo sitting around eating watermelons all day and throwing her leftovers down stream. Kinda gross lol

Major Armor SPOILER

yeah maybe I really wasn't moving from the spot, I was trying to get a Shrine to show up

yeah here is my loss progress
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6bpLbRb8uk
at the end of this video I purchased a suit Major Armor SPOILER and got a needed weapon under a bridge

trying to open the shrine I died from fall damage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naqk1_MvTxQ&t=48s

had to purchase the suit I wanted and recollect the required weapon from the water for the Shrine

I did not leave the area but seriously I would not want to for get to save on my own next time.
