May says:

Perhaps now more than ever the world needs the liberal, democratic values of Europe - values that the UK shares.

What the fuck am I reading, this is delusional, insane, I can't even..

Aside from some rhetoric around things like that, it is one fundamental reason to pay attention to ripple effects. We're now essentially going to be under a Tory reign which won't be accountable to anyone. Especially not if Labour keeps getting beaten at ease.

I know, and that chills me to the bone.

I was listening as she said it.

The house was in hysterics and she had to stop talking.

May says she wants to continue to trade with the EU.

In an increasingly unstable world, we must have “the closest possible security cooperation to keep our people safe”.

PM: "historic moment from which there can be no turning back"

lol so badly just wants to get people on-board their mess

Why does she keep rambling on about unity? It's clear brexit divided everyone and Scotland wants out so what's so unified about that.

Even I won't go quite that far until campaigning starts up here, polls start to get more varied rather than the same ones dug up, and eventually a vote. Then we'll really know what Scotland wants.

The clearest thing to say right now is the party the people elected want out.

And to extend on from that it IS bullshit for Labour/Tories to simply keep saying "no one in Scotland wants a vote". That isn't true. We're not dealing in absolutes here.

Ah well bring on the price increases again, really pissed how much shopping cost has increased and I dread to think how much more it will rise by. I cannot believe people were stupid enough to fall for the take back control nonsense, when in reality the poor will just get even poorer and the rich will swim in champagne.

We both know once the deal talks start and begin and May starts floundering this year, in conjunction to early Scottish campaigning, then we'll be looking at a Scotland that hasn't been more unified than since the Second World War, they'll simply be unified against her.

Gotta love this bs of the "truly global Britain" that she has been talking about...
What the hell does that even mean?

Hell. what does this even mean?

When I sit around the negotiating table in the months ahead, I will represent every person in the whole United Kingdom – young and old, rich and poor, city, town, country and all the villages and hamlets in between.

And yes, those EU nationals who have made this country their home.It is my fierce determination to get the right deal for every single person in this country.

For, as we face the opportunities ahead of us on this momentous journey, our shared values, interests and ambitions can - and must - bring us together.

We all want to see a Britain that is stronger than it is today. We all want a country that is fairer so that everyone has the chance to succeed.

We all want a nation that is safe and secure for our children and grandchildren.

We all want to live in a truly Global Britain that gets out and builds relationships with old friends and new allies around the world.

These are the ambitions of this Government’s Plan for Britain. Ambitions that unite us, so that we are no longer defined by the vote we cast, but by our determination to make a success of the result.

We are one great union of people and nations with a proud history and a bright future.

And, now that the decision has been made to leave the EU, it is time to come together.

We need the values of Europe, the closest possible security co-operation and the closest possible trade deal.

That's why we're leaving the EU, so we can get all those things. Clearly.

Funny thing is that her greatest of allies looks like it will trigger a wave of isolationism, can only mean disaster for the UK.

It's such a load of shite. Right, how do we retain our great EU trade deal etc. Don't leave you fucking morons! So enraging and depressing.

We both know once the deal talks start and begin and May starts floundering this year, in conjunction to early Scottish campaigning, then we'll be looking at a Scotland that hasn't been more unified than since the Second World War, they'll simply be unified against her.

Saying a country is divided is often some political PR speak, usually to try and instill fear or negative feelings. Like, it's always a bad thing for a country to be working through differences of opinions. Get in line, be unified, or you're problematic! You're a jester! You're upsetting and dividing the people! How dare you, be quiet and stop giving us a headache from enforcing our reign!

So basically, an authoritarian word play, in many cases. The technicality behind the meaning of the word division is the case indeed, but it's ALWAYS the case. No polls over go 100% vs 0%. There is ALWAYS "division" in a country.

It's how you hash out differences, debate and attempt to honestly influence minds. Too often in UK politics, it goes right to smearing, lying, othering, abusing, name-calling, digging up dirt, character assassinations, and so on. Passion is good, a lot of the nastiness that follows politics isn't. Give people facts, evidence and heartfelt pleas and leave it at that for them to debate and try and make their minds up as a country.

You're missing the point. She's saying people need to stop being divided and unite to make this work. Whether you voted leave or stay, this is happening and whining about it and causing further division isn't going to achieve anything. She's right.

Scotland becoming independent and getting back into the EU is also something that could fall under "this is happening"? People aren't just pissing into the wind here to annoy May, it's a legitimate option for a country to leave a union. As above, it's petty to just get all authoritarian and demand silence. That's not how democracy often works. If something can be challenged, and possibly avoided, options will be explored.

Not how it works in the real world.

How you do 'stop being divided' if you completely disagree with something?

She can get fucked.

If she is still peddling fantastical nonsense, people shouldn't get on board with it. Also people should totally get on board while being shackled to those intent on throwing themselves off a cliff.

Not at all, she is not right.

Goodbye, UK. Gonna miss the sane part of you. Sad you have to go because some of you lost their fucking marbles. Hope you can weather the upcoming storm. Best of luck. Stay safe.

Also, good riddance to a lot of you wankers. I'll never forgive you fucks for sending Farage to the EU parliament. He spent most of his time there being a complete and utter buffoon and made it a point to antagonise everyone. If you end up getting a raw deal, don't you dare ask why or pretend you're some kind of innocent victim.

Such a bittersweet parting. The EU is no doubt better off without the Extrawurst "petulant manchild" UK, but will dearly miss UK's experience and wide reach in diplomatic channels whenever they deigned to cooperate with EU.

Meanwhile

In an indication of the increasingly tough line being taken by MEPs, Manfred Weber, the German leader of largest centre-right bloc in the European Parliament, said: "EU has done everything to keep the British. From now on, only the interests of the remaining 440 million Europeans count for us.

If shes' serious about what she's saying, she needs to be the one to build bridges and showing - ideally with policy - that what she is doing benefits everyone.

You can't just demand unity.

EU response to this letter "You done fucked up. You had one job now see how this shit goes"

Edit:
You're missing the point. She's saying people need to stop being divided and unite to make this work. Whether you voted leave or stay, this is happening and whining about it and causing further division isn't going to achieve anything. She's right.

Really? Nothing she has done has indicated anything that we need unity. Why should we unite now. She pushed for hard brexit, she only appealed to those who voted to leave while those who voted to stayed are basically being told to shut up and unite.

And if she had done literally anything to throw 48% of the voters a bone, that might be possible.

The current division is as much her fault as anyone elses, probably more so.
