True.

No, you're all entitled to disagree with Brexit but many of you come across as extremists. I know you/they wont act on it but are quite happy sitting in front of your monitors eagerly waiting for things to go wrong and wishing ill on other humans. We're past the time of fuelling fires, it's time to help put them out. Just my opinion but clearly against the GAF grain :|

You set the house on fire all by yourselves. You put it out.

I like how before article 50 UK was like "Yeah Fuck you EU were independent from your shit no more EU army for us"
Now with the letter sent it say "Come one guys were friends we can make a good deal remember all the good times we had?"

Yep Labour having Corbyn leading is not helping anyone and they defiantly need to change soon or else the Torries will be the only party at this point

They pretty much are in the English polls :(

Hearing working class people on the news saying 'we'll be fine' when they especially will be assuredly fucked by this is so sad.

Its not the people saying "this is really fucking stupid" who are "fuelling the fires", its the people who voted to leave that did that. The onus should be on them to compromise on an issue so divided and meet at a solution that fits best for everyone, however we are getting the most extreme outcome possible, one which many leave voters are unhappy with.

Plus extremists?? are you fucking kidding me?

Slightly different and you know it. You don't have to support any party in power but something as big as Brexit is different. What I'm seeing here is UK Gov - "we're leaving EU" and remainers - "Welp, I hope you all fail and I will do whatever I can to make a bad situation worse by refusing to unite".

Our compliance with May's call to unity can in no way make this worse, only better. Left unchecked under the banner of 'unity', May's government could half-arse these talks if they believe we'll just swallow whatever they deem is necessary. A government put under more scrutiny would work harder to get a truly fair deal out of this.

What you appear to be seeing here is the shying away from Brexit by the voices of decent is thread (mine included), whereas what people on here are saying is we have no faith in the abilities of May and her party to deliver on a deal that won't ruin our country for decades.

No one here believes Brexit can just be undone by some 11th hour revelation, but our perception of where May's Brexit can lead is one that we simply do not want to see happen to our nation. Just because someone says 'unite' doesn't mean we need to comply. Unity isn't something that is demanded, it's earned. And until she can deliver more than tory fluff, she is so painfully far from earning it.

It's the ones in former industrial towns having faith in the tories to sort out the fallout from another economic shift that blow me away.

Well the EU SHOT THEMSELVES in the foot. I dont you know about UK (I'm an expert).

It seems that they have a big delusion of grander. Reality will set in once the deal negotiation come outs for the worst for the UK
But then they will just shift the blame to someone else

Holy shit Fuck farage he basically dismessed the 48% who voted to stay. He claims the pool is now at 70%, which is bullshit, and then the irony set when he said the workers hurt themselves.
What a punchable face with his shit eating grin.

NO BUT, WE NEED TO START LOOKING AFTER OUR OWN PEOPLE.

THATS WHY WE NEED THE TORIES TO CONTINUE TO FUCK THE NHS AND TURN THE UK INTO A TAX HAVEN FOR THE RICH, SO ALL THE BIG BUSINESS DOESNT FUCK OFF TO THE EUROPEAN MAIN CONTINENT.

THATS WHY THE POOREST COUNTIES IN ENGLAND WHO GET THE MOST MONEY FROM THE EU AND HAVE LITTLE TO ZERO IMMIGRATION WANT OUT OF THE EU! BECAUSE OF IMMIGRATION AND WASTING MONEY (on......themselves?).

WHY DONT YOU UNDERSTAND????

POOR PEOPLE NEED THIS!

WHY WONT ANYBODY LISTEN????

On the subject of Unity and Ed. Ed Miliband in the Commons just there.

The prime minister is right to say in her statement that this deal, the eventual deal we get, must work for the 48% as well as the 52%, because whether we were remainers or leavers, we will live in the same country together after Brexit.

But can I emphasise to her that national unity must be earned and not just asserted, and it must be shown in deeds and not just in words, and we are a long long way away from it.

As she reflects on the last eight months, can she say what she think she needs to do differently in the next 24 months to achieve that national unity, which frankly eludes us at the moment

You voted for the chaos. It's on you and your ilk. You won, get over it, don't expect us to come up with solutions for problems of your own making. That's on the leavers. Promises were made, and it's on you and the folk you handed power to deliver. So deliver.

Had remain narrowly won, we'd still be getting both barrels from the awkward squad and UKIP. You're the ones who voted for monumental change on the back of a series of a bullshit mostly contradictory and mutually exclusive promises. I want my sunny uplands and cake, then we can unify.

Since your vote had direct implications for both my life and livelihood. It's on you not me to be conciliatory. What do you want me to say,

"well my income halved for three months and had to take dull contract work meaning I was away from my family 4 nights a week, all because you lot felt threatened by foreign accents and polski sklep, but its ok you made a decision and we should all come together because you feel bad about the chaos you caused."

and I'm barely affected by the 'chaos'. My cousin French boyfriend got the shit kicked out of him by some of the victors you want me to unify with.

These people are tone deaf morons, you're wasting your time.

Their idea of delivering a 'good Brexit' is vastly different to yours.

Congrats to the UK.

I note that your avatar is the coat of arms of an ultra-nationalist group accused of war crimes.

Said it before, but if Trump and Russia are the only cheerleaders of a decision, then you know it's a terrible fucking path you've set for yourself.

The fear is that that they will blame remainers, Lib Dems, SNP, etc. for “sabotaging” brexit.

That, and the major cities that were predominantly pro-European. London won't heavily decline from this for a while, and up North here in Liverpool and Manchester will ride this wave better than a smaller, less stable town or city. It'd be easy to spin the decline of jobs on larger cities not investing further into the UK, beyond the cities.

Putting security cooperation on the chopping block in case of no deal on free market is such an act of desperation, lol. EU isn't going to buckle to that. Putting the safety of European citizens on the line is not up for negotiation.

How is that allowed in neogaf?

hahah yeah the country that just had one of their own attack them has used their intelligence as a carrot... desperate.

Well, with the EU unable to weigh in on our politics from now on, with enough of a majority, government can do whatever fuckries they feel is"the will of the people" at any time.

And if people can be convinced to vote to trash their own healthcare, devalue their own currency, decrease the amount of logically simple trade and generally vote for cuts all over their public services and social securities...

They can probably be convinced to vote for their rights to be erased too.

Uh, I'm pretty sure socialism and Conservatives don't often go hand in hand.

Not to mention absolutely nothing about the EU was stopping socialism taking place in many policies and political beliefs.

The erosion of a lot of social benefits and policy in the UK has been thanks to the Conservatives and some of the Labour privatisation. Nothing to do with the EU.

...Please tell me he's not actually thinking we need to go through the whole 'revolution' process to achieve a socialist society.

No, the hard left have always been hostile to the EU because they think it is a neoliberal conspiracy (basically). This is why so many people around Corbyn hate the EU. Look up anything Tony Benn said about the EU.

I think he follows the Corbyn philosophy where a million ordinary members is worth it even if you end up only having 5 MPs.
