have to admit, yeah, the truck was slowed down, but that corner of the building held up nicely, since so much of the surrounding material was storefront windows. The corner held up.
 
Reaaaally fortunate this guy didn't kill someone in one of the intersections. He was blowing through red lights at 80+ at times.

There was one intersection where he definitely almost hit someone while running a red. I guess they saw or heard the lights or sirens and slammed on their brakes and stopped just out of the way. Otherwise it would have been a collision or the guy would have flipped trying to swerve away from the car.

So glad it ended with him losing control and hitting a building and not hitting another car.
 
So I checked the news for this today because I wanted to see if they thought the pickup was carjacked or not. They haven't answered that, but it sounds like the night was just getting started:

Authorities discovered narcotics inside the truck. According to police, the driver was supposed to hand off the truck to someone at the gas station, but he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
