Actually...
there's an eye on the opposite side of the goop, destroy it and the path will be cleared. There are 3 of these goop blockades iirc, but all can be cleared

Thanks for the tip ;)

So isbthe last fairy anyware near the
goron
area by any chance? Because thats the one zone I havent been to. If not im stumped.

Succinct answer:
______Nope______.

Somewhat-detailed fairy locations (by memory, so some are more detailed than others):
  • Slightly northeast of the shrine by Kakariko Village
  • Southeast of that small tall island with a bridge (surrounded by land, not by the sea) on the central area of the autumn region
  • All the way to the west in the Gerudo Desert. It's right below some giant bones which are close to several bokoblin skull camps
  • I keep forgetting, but you get a quest from a guy that asks you to deliver his 500 rupees to a fairy fountain somewhere in the western area (north of Gerudo Highlands), and the fountain's slightly to the southeast from the place you meet him at
  • Bonus:
Horse fairy is at a location that has a lake and a bridge named "Horse God", but I dont' remember exactly where

I turned the shrine sensor on for the last 15 or so but it eventually didn't help much, I had to break and use a guide for the last 5. I would have never found atleast 2 of them, lol.

Thats hardcore. I cant play without the sensor lol. Otherwise I would have missed at least half of these.

I think Nintendo put more effort in the Moldugas theme than all the divine beast bosses lol, so freaking good especially phase 2. I really hope hard mode really make these battles more challenging

So the Ancient Armor gives me a damage boost for Ancient Weopons? I use mostly ancient weapons so this is more useful to me than Barbarian armor, right?

I'm guessing it's my fault actually. Instead of motions it's really just small tilts to the controller

Oh, I am definitely super careful when doing any motion control stuff, of course, since it's pretty much 1:1 movement and very sensible. But that's why it's good, because it's reliable and if you are careful and don't make any unnecessary movements you should be able to get it right.

I always liked the sort of kororimpa games with balls and mazes though, so I guess that helped.

Trying to get all the shrines finished before I go to bed but
under a red moon
has basically killed any hope of that :/
Any way to speed things up?

Been hitting more and more invisible walls and its so frustrating when youre now conditioned to just go anywhere lol. There are a lot of areas in the map that look like you can get to only to be stopped. Gerudo highlands and hebra regions especially.

Yeah Gerudo Highlands has a named mountain you can't climb that's clearly within the boundary of the map. Strange.

Ok finally used the joycons with the grip and I am experiencing the left joy con issues like crazy. Holy crap its bad. It literally refuses to work sometimes.

Finally charging the Pro controller after like weeks. I wish it came bundled with the pro controller because its a night and day difference in comfort.

I wonder if they have plans to open those up later on. The naming part is suspect.

i feel like i am 12 years old all over again trying to hold 2 hydro melons to get into that certain town.
I don't even dare to show what my
sheika tablet shows at hydromelons

Anyone know the name of the track when you and Sidon are
swimming around Vah Ruta shooting arrows at it?

EDIT: Nvm, it's just called
Divine Beast Vah Ruta
lol

So just playing the game normally without especially going out of my way to find shrines, I was able to find 111.

Those last 9 though... I have no idea where to start looking. There aren't any major places in the map I haven't been.

I've already found many shrines where I'm like "holy shit I've been past this spot a million times before and never noticed it." I'm at like 80 shrines so I expect my mind to be blown once I start hunting down the very last ones.

Just "finished" the game. At 75 hours. 97 Shrines. All memories. All beasts. 21 hearts. 3 stamina wheels. Who cares about Korok Seeds?

Should I be sitting here waiting for the credits to end?

Just how do you do the Thundra shrine puzzle where I can't climb any rocks to get to the things???
I didn't have the Rito ability yet, so I cut down a tree, attached Octorok balloons to it and held on to float up to the orb on the high pedestal. Then a simple matter of stasis and smashing the fuck out of it so it lands in the centre.

Playing right now after installing the patch, it really did some good. I notice way less/no lag at parts where there were drops.

I finished the game on Wii U but it hypes me do to it again now that I finally found a Switch and see how it looks/runs.

One tiny random detail I really liked was talking to the Gerudo Women you eventually find in [side quest spoiler]
Tarry Town
One of your options is to say hello in her language and she gets so excited, just like anyone would when you make the effort to speak in their native tongue. Loved that.

After more than 175 hours, I found all the shrines. No help from online, I feel mighty proud. It was a great journey and also a frustrating one, as I was coming back and back to locations I thought there were there. But when you do find those last 3 you didn't have it's really a great sense of accomplishments.

Surprisingly, my last two ones were in
Gerudo valley the heat endurance test and the place a shiny blue stone on the pedestal. I guess I never saw them before.

Speaking of which, where the heck can I find the Goron for that quest?
