Um. In fighting game community there are posts from tweets that show it's real from an event with new screens. Still be skeptical since it's April 1st but as of 7am est this morning reports say sfex is real.
It says "※This video is from April Fools 2017 of ARIKA Co.,Ltd." in the video description...

As last year, the balloon sisters provided some hints for the fools. Poo made a comment about the live camera apparently being broken. Upon checking it, I saw it alternately showed two places, one being a field south of Tsuskul. A lot of Metal King Slimes had appeared there.
So we went to check it out. Upon encounter, the Metal King Slimes turned out to be Liquid Metal Slimes instead. At least they looked like it, but its name actually was hazure metal, instead of the usual hagure metal. (Hazure means dud, blank, as in drawing a blank; hagure means stray as in astray.)
Of course the experience was rather low, only 410.

Every Aprils Fools feels like half the game developers spitefully saying 'fuck you' to a lot of their fans rather than 'heh what a goof'

Actually almost all the plain mean ones are fanmade shit by people who don't understand how jokes work, and think lies=jokes. Actual companies usually understand you either have to make it very over the top outragerous or reverse troll in that it's actual announcement pretending to be a joke.

Oh man that burns. I did laugh at the Hatsune Miku and classic Sonic racers (as well as the controversial Wreckit Ralph, Danica Patrick and Yogscast racers being replaced) and the Yakuza 5 track screenshot though.
Who are the characters in the silhouette? I can see Bayonetta and Sakura from Sakura Wars, but who is the person with the big boots at the bottom and the one on the left?

It's example like this that make me hate April fools in the gaming community. Many companies are like "what single thing do our fans want and we won't ever give them? That's what we will pretend to be doing. That's funny"
