In the final battle,
I was really struggling to get through the second phase with Ganon's shield. I just chipped away with arrows (took forever) because the shield would let up for a fraction of a second when he attacked.

I feel like I was missing something, but parrying attempts broke all of my shields.

Flurrying or parrying his laser breaks his armor momentarily. Urbosa's Fury shreds him too.

So... I believe I found a shrine south of the
Military Training Camp which is south of the Woodland Tower.
I placed a marker and
a few hours later (now) I went there and there was nothing. Can't even see the marker.

Did I go crazy, or is it some shrine that
only shows under specific conditions
?
Not under specific conditions. Just in a hidden spot.

I just beat the game a 2nd time. I was so much better at the final fight this time. The first time I was really trying everything and making it up as I went. This time I owned and with the full ending too.

Nintendo have made something special here and I pretty much I know I will pay up for the DLC now. Whatever Nintendo adds to this game. I want to experience it all.

Yay a new NPC after all these hours. Gave me a riddle and a new shrine quest. I found his shes dozens of hours ago that also had this riddle in a notebook. Assumed it was abandoned but looks like it belongs to someone.

So I was replaying the ending (finally beat it yesterday) and uh, anyone have this final boss glitch?

None of my arrows were doing anything to the glowing spots and I fired so many the Bow of Light actually broke.

Edit: lol I derped,
I had the Royal Bow equipped. I forgot it doesn't auto equip the Bow of Light, and I had Shock Arrows equipped so I didn't even notice something was off.

I've been in "about to start my 4th dungeon" mode for the past week, too many distractions in this game between sidequests, shrines and korok seeds lol

Someone mind helping me? On dragons:
I am in the middle of the shrine quest "the serpent's jaws." I am supposed to bring a scale from Farosh. I am guessing Farosh is the dragon present in the Floria region. I have found lakeside stable and many NPCs have mentioned a dragon, how the lake evokes the sense of being near a dragon, how there are shadows over the lake, how there is something interesting above a waterfall. One mentioned a glow above a waterfall and asked, "has it always been that way?" I have seen no glow. I've searched every waterfall, I've searched every clifftop and passage. I've found several unusual things (bird statues with leaf-accented altars in front of them; a large metal door submerged in a small pond bursting with fish; a rock circle with no stones missing—probably all permutations of korok puzzles I haven't yet figured out), but no sign of a dragon. Am I on the right track? In the right place? Do I need to meet some kind of requirement before the dragon appears? I have not seen any dragons at all so far. I haven't done any divine beasts and i don't know if dragons are tied to those quest lines. I've spent nearly six hours trying to find this thing now and it is becoming increasingly frustrating. I've tried climbing to the highest peak of mount floria and resting at a campfire til morning, noon, and evening, in the hopes of triggering some kind of event. Nothing. I have the riola spring, colora lake, and ubota point shrines all unlocked. I've spent an hour running over and under floria bridge. I don't know what else to try. It seems like I am missing something, but the NPCs make it sound like this thing is flying over us all the time. I don't want to know exactly how to do this, but I want to know if I must fulfill some other requirement before I am even able to see the dragon.

Any help appreciated.

Going through my "git gud" thing now where I'm actually taking the time to get better at cooking, horses, mining, etc. I'm really starting to appreciate the mechanics I wasn't really paying attention to early in the game. I'm at Rito village for the 1st time but I gotta take a break from that and keep getting better at the mechanics.

Beyond the painter guy in Kakariko, does anyone else in the game ever hint of nearby Fairy Fountains? I only found 2 so far.
Yup,
all of them are hinted.

If you want to know who hints at what:
- Stable near Tabantha Bridge has the guy that gives you 500 rupees and a quest
- An old woman in Tarrey Town when you've grown it sufficiently mentions one
- Rija's Sand Seal has several hints if you feed it, one of which is a Fairy
- Lastly, I'm pretty sure someone at the Highland Stable hints at the Horse God, although you can also see it on your map.

It spawns in two areas. One is on the lake, the other is on the top of a mountain with waterfall. I forgot where the waterfall is, but the lake is Lake Hylia. I think it's better to wait for it at Lake Hylia because it's much easier to go to.

You'll hear a different tune whenever a dragon is nearby.

It's easily found
if you camp next to the Riolu Spring until morning or night. The dragon flies out of it.

finally beat this after 125 hours or so. all shrines complete and 185 seeds. going to take a break for persona 5 before i go back to exploring and finding secrets. omg what a game. definitely my favourite zelda, maybe my favourite game ever.

I've tried this already. In the process of waiting a full in game day/night cycle right now. There is nothing else I'm supposed to do first? Because of their placement on the map, I judged riola spring and rassia lake to be the most likely candidates. I have spent way too much time at both locations.

Nowadays I start to seek shelter near sunset. The night is full of danger so when the sky gets orange I look for a cozy spot to light a campfire and then resume adventuring in the morning. Maybe make some seared food before turning in for the night.

Anybody got a favorite memory?

I like the frog one. Found that one refreshing because of its light hearted tone compare to the grim ones that I had found prior to that one

I like the one where Zelda is
trying to open a shrine to no avail.

Somehow I thought the voice acting wasn't that bad there.

I like Premonition - the one where
Link sports a few scratches after slaughtering an army of bokgoblins and three Lynels.

The one at
Hyrule castle
is good, too.
The King is super harsh to Zelda, not knowing it will be the last time he will see his daughter. Damn, that's rough.

I have a theory, have you
visited and cleansed the dragon on top of the mountain near Hateno village? I have a feeling the other two dragons don't spawn until you do this.

Haha did you guys know that
dragons
create portals in the sky and disappear through them? First time I saw one happening. Nothing mindblowing but pretty cool.

Thats one of my faves. Zelda is adorable in that one.

I have not. I haven't seen any other dragons and haven't run into any NPCs who have suggested I should be looking elsewhere.

The only locations NPCs have suggested I look for dragons are
lake floria and the dueling peaks.

Finished the 24 hour in game cycle, staring at
riola spring
. Nothing happened.

Desert areas in Zelda games stay winning. Thank god I saved it for last cause that was impeccable. Great sub boss, awesome main quest, brilliant shrines, great side quests, and the way you traverse the land is so fun. The fact that the temperatures vary between night and day is also such a great touch. I loved everything about it.

I have 6 quests and 5 shrines to go, I'm so lclose to the finish line. But I feel like I'm ready for this game to end. What a grand adventure.

Finally got my revenge on the Lynel patrolling the Lanayru East Gate. Dude killed me soooooo many times 140 hours ago when I was trying to get to Hateno Village.

Next up: Zora Lynel.

A guy in Hateno gives you a side quest about a spring the princess visited long ago. Don't remember exactly where he is in the village. Might be closer to the lab than the village.

All shrines done.

I'm now free of this game until the DLC hits.

I don't really want to start another playthrough until Hard Mode hits.

Guys did I fucked up?
Just finished the Rito village and got the bow for beating the bird dungeon. Headed to Goron City and totally forgot I had the bow equipped and it got destroyed while I was gliding. Please tell me I can get that bow back.

These kind of weapons can be repaired.

As far as I'm aware, there is no permanently missable/losable weapons or armor in the game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

WW's dungeons aren't great but they're way more appealing than what BOTW put down, better variety and just more interesting designs.

Sure WW puts a premium on aesthetics. Besides that and some common dungeon trappings, WW has the worst layouts and puzzles in the series. Its hard to argue that the command melody is a great dungeon dynamic.

behind a house in a vegetable patch.

this was the first

I ever saw in the game, probably one of the most memorable moments for me (of many)

I don't think this is true. Pretty sure my brother saw others before visiting mt lanayru

It's not even worth the trouble to get it back.

You'll find better bows out in the world.
