SEGA teases Bayonetta + Steam, countdown to April 11

Lolno isn't an argument. I'm not saying it will or may happen. What I'm saying is all we know, SEGA is teasing something related that may be Bayonetta and Steam related. Now I agree the chances are close to 0. But it doesn't mean people must call others port beggers (port begging being a bannable behaviour, it's basically asking for people to get banned, in a more or less stealth way) when the subject is a potential port.

I know it's not an argument, but we already had pages and pages of arguments about this topic over the years. There's nothing more to sya about it.
I don't know how portbegging bans work here tbh, it seems to be different on the mod and the topic... But yeah, it's just as obnoxious to scream "portbegging!", despite some posts being definitely portbegging for something that'll never happen, even years later. As said above, better ignore (and report if it's really bad).

I have a very capable PC, WiiU, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, none of these console wars affect me.

But it seems you're kinda sensitive about the whole issue, so I'll let you be.

"Port-begging" is if you'd go into the, say, Persona 5 OT and derail the thread by talking about how you'd only play a PC/Switch/Xbox version or something, for example.

This thread is about a PC related tease about something Bayonetta, so talking about potential Bayonetta PC ports can't be port-begging.

But Bayonetta 2 is still portbegging isn't it? It's not a Bayo 2 OT obviously, but it still has 0.000001% chance of happening.

edit: and I'm saying that as in: it still derails the thread about the possible Bayo 1 PC port (or whatever that is).

Except nobody but a couple of weirdo hit&run fanboys is actually asking for the game to be ported, just discussing whether or not it is possible for it to come out at some point in the future.

In this case, though, Nintendo would have to sell them the code in order to make it possible as a port. I just can't see a deal being made where that would be cheap enough to be worth Sega's time and money, especially when a Bayonetta 1 port involves so much less bullshit to try and sift through, as they unambiguously own that game outright.

This isn't a port begging thread.

This countdown link was put in the Steam achievements of 8-bit Bayonetta. SEGA has stated that they're working on ports and would have news this year. The art on the website is from Bayonetta 1. This is very clearly SEGA teasing a release of Bayonetta on PC. Its a thread dedicated to news surrounding the original Bayonetta and hints that SEGA is making related to Bayonetta. Bayonetta 1 was published by SEGA.
 
What if it's a teaser for Bayonetta : S-Bike, a f2p mini game in which you try to reach the highest score in the bike level of Bayo 1.

Available on mobile/PC.
 
If the PC port is true then as I said, the 8 Bit Bayonetta isn't an April Fools joke. It's instead a promotion move for the PC port.
 
Hope Bayo1 gets released on PC, I may actually triple dip. I bought an XBOX360 only for this game and Bayo2 was one of the main reasons for me to get a WiiU. Hope more people get the chance to experience it and the IP gains more notoriety.

Speaking selfishly, I would love for this to be an announcement of the Bayo trilogy for Switch, though I think it´s not very likely.
 
Played the crap out of the PS3 version.

Would be nice playing it with a good frame rate but I'm not looking forward to unlocking all the weapons etc. again. Hopefully there's a cheat or something that does it for you -_-

I seriously hope we do get Bayonetta 1 for Steam. I had it for 360, PS3 and Wii U but never really played it. And then one day it clicked and I loved the start of it but had to sell out.

Like I said, I have a very capable PC, I would triple dip on the first Bayonetta. When I said read the thread I meant people asking for Bayonetta 2 and we know that's not possible.

Bayonetta is so old. If Sega prices this port at $40, I need at least arbitrary resolutions. I'm not into Bayonetta at 1080p/60 unless it's less than $20.
 
I hope that within the first week of release someone makes a mod that lets us skip right to the Jeanne 3 fight without doing the Space Harrier section.
