McConnell says Obama never asked for an AUMF (he did)

McConnell dodges when asked where Trump gets his legal authority to attack in Syria, says he believes Trump had the authority.

Still expect congress as a whole to refuse to bring down a vote as none of them likely want to be tied to action. All the same, they're rolling out the red carpet to line up and praise him while washing their hands of the act at the same time. Unilateral action has the benefit of getting shit done in their minds and still making it possible to criticize while in reality their inaction spurs more Trump solo decisions if things go south.

Oh look, Bannon.

Where's Pence?

In Washington, overseeing the Gorsuch vote. He is President of the Senate, after all.

This kind of trash has been exposed.

1. Post a bunch of shit on twitter via multiple tweets.

2. Hide posts.

3. Unhide posts when something even close happens, date stamps stays the same, looks like you predicted the future.

Ohoh, cheeky

Stop the War Coalition is holding a emergency demo on the US attack equipment but not on all the Russian aggression prior to this

what a joke

It's good they're doing something, but... come on

Of course not. I don't think Trump cares much about that however.

Like I said earlier in the thread, it'll be interesting to see what Trump's response is when Assad barrel bombs another hospital.

I assume the reaction will be the same as when the Trump admin drops a bomb and wipes out 200 civilians.

and a nice KEEP YOUR REFUGEES for good measure.

It's baffling to see how romanticized fucking missile strikes are. All of the glee and chest puffing over this is beyond disgusting.

Particularly considering how neutered it actually was, and there's that fact the admin took a pro-assad stance right before he decided to gas more people. GOOD ONE!. Refugees will still be banned, and the US will continue to drop more bombs elsewhere.

He righted no wrongs, and people are awash in praise? It's fucking stupid.

And why would I want them?
Just got a pop up on my phone from Fox News that said Russian warships steam towards the US Destroyer that launched the missles

Damn

this is the kind of shit people mean when they say there's no difference between republican and democrat foreign policy

A bit over simplified like people just wheeling Hillary out. More than half the world agrees someone should have bit back at Assad for using chemical weapons yet again. Okay, it's America that has fired off the warning, but as I tried to argue earlier in this topic at times that does end up coming with the territory of being one of the biggest countries. Hence all the European countries coming out in unison now to be like "yay, someone did it!".

Criticisms of Trump should be more about now asking for detailed breakdowns of their intelligence (we've got some tidbits), and still pressuring America as a whole to stop being so over the top on their refugee/travel bans.

The use of chemical warfare has been banned by humanity and we should make it to where they can't use them.

we are deliberately causing famine in yemen while bombing the shit out of civilian targets in several different countries with whom we are not at war

america has no moral standing here

You say over the top, I say malicious.

Time for Putin to put on a grand old show to fool the world into thinking he and Trump aren't best buddies.
