Loving my decision to go from PS4 to Switch. 99% of my playtime had been mobile which is great because long sessions on the TV can be hard to get at home. Plus with Summer around the corner, I'll be playing this bad boy on the porch at night. Just picked up Zelda from BSTn Thread, Go in Blind or watch videos? First Zelda game ever for me.

Honestly this case keeps the Switch snug, but doesn't depress buttons, as well as the under side triggers the case has indents so they are not pressed as well. Only case I saw like this, and it is semi hard (ladies) and perfect.

In the US its called RDS Industries, Inc Nintendo Switch Game Traveler Deluxe Travel Case, in Europe its called Nintendo Switch Deluxe Travel Case (by bigben).

Pouch has room for joy con attachments & ear bud.

Under where the switch sits it has 2 cases that can hold 4 games or 3 games and 2 memory cards.

It heavily relied on using the stylus though, right? I feel like it would be tedious to make maps using standard controls but I never really played it much, maybe someone else can weigh in.

I think it could be remedied with having it controlled by motion. If they really wanted to stylus it, they could include one of those ones for smart phones with the rubber on the end. They're pretty cheap and there's plenty of room in the physical case to include it (and if you buy it online, maybe you can get it through MyNintendo or something)

Would joy-cons arriving in store today have the desync issue resolved? Just ordered neon blues and neon reds on Amazon.ca. Hoping it's a thing of the past!

Just reporting my findings from this since they arrived today. The red joycons are perfectly fine, but the blue ones are not. The left one is particularly bad, but the right one seems to lose sync easier than any right joycon I've tested. Sending them back to Amazon and ordering from Walmart, since they still have stock but Amazon doesn't (Canada).

But yeah. These are definitely new stock.

Yep, it was EXFAT. Changed it, and transferred everything smoothly.

Not on the technical side. Support (warranty) might be an awkward issue, and there might be something up with import fees if they catch you bringing it back, but it would still work just like normal.

Fuck, not powder but soda. mix with a little water in a small spray bottle and spray lightly on the surfaces of the case. will neutralize the odor. i did this for my case.

Definitely go in blind! It was also my first Zelda game, and discovering and expolring Hyrule organically by myself was amazing.

Yeah, this is why I'm waiting to put my 128gb card into the system until I download Mario Kart Deluxe. Apparently the internal storage is much faster than SD cards and cartridges on Switch. Problem is that as soon as you put in the SD card, storage defaults to the card with no option to turn it off.

I should share the story of how I got a Switch.

My kids (8 and 12) have been wanting one since before it dropped. I've been pointing out to them that a) it's hard to find one b) has few games and c) we don't really need a new system. I tell them, maybe later in the year. Maybe.

So while we're on vacation I have one shipped to work, and on our way home (from a successful, fun and tiring road trip) I drive by the office and pick it up and tell them it's "computer equipment." I pull it out of the box when we get home and they completely lose their minds with excitement.

Sometimes being a Dad is so awesome.
