MSAA fix patch is out (22 KB)
We sure it's a actual MSAA fix? I just tried it out and pumped out MSAA to x16 and had no performance impact whatsoever.

Sorry. Apparently it's not a fix at all. The patch is just for a Vanquish (!) tease. We sure it's a actual MSAA fix? I just tried it out and pumped out MSAA to x16 and had no performance impact whatsoever.
I looked it up, it's true

Holy shit, guess Vanquish is already close?

You should check first before posting because nothing was fixed.
That looks to have the same exact amount of aliasing.
Well that's the point, and that's what i wrote.
The best form of anti-aliasing, and it's a shame that developers never natively support it in DX11+ games.

Second dev diary is out:

you still playing at 4k on a 970? it was going really well for me until maybe chapter 2 or 3 with a single dragon head boss and my FPS tanked
Are you using AO?
Nah, disabled it all the way.
edit: I think I just solved my problem. Was using the in game vsync and disabled it, maintaining a decent 60 with frequent drops to low 50s in this specific scene. Much better than when it kept dropping to 30, that sucked. Guess it uses double buffer or something.
for the record it was this scene
Platinum Games have uploaded 5 weird Bayonetta videos on their channel, each one of them is a short sequence that repeats 3 times...
Here's the shortest one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i-zX78VFJI
edit: I missed the thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1363523
It's true. Playing Nier A so much messed with me a bit. Went back to it for a bit and feels so slow compared to Bayonetta I can't believe it. Then there's other stuff like enemies making it beyond obvious when you have to dodge, whereas in Bayo it might be a bit too difficult to tell sometimes.
Man Bayonetta is still so awesome, I really missed it. Had been some time since I last played it, and the only version I've previously owned was on PS3, so it had its own set of issues. I'll never really fully grasp the game's mechanics but I have enough fun as it is.
I do wish there was a code to unlock everything or at least give me a bunch of money.![]()
Since the patch is supposedly coming soon, I had a few questions. First off, how do I use ReShade to make the game look better? Also, is there a downloadable macro for the QTEs? Mashing has never been my strong suit, and apparently the QTEs are a little harder on this version due to the more consistent framerate.
Go to Cardinal Temperance with Selene's Light and Gaze of Despair equipped, Durga on hands, Ice skates on feet. (No Immortal Marrionette garbage lol, destroys combo/halo farming). Then grind that boss like 10-15 times, just tank everything and use Selene's light to use Witch Time as much as possible. You should easily get a 9999 w/ 9.9 modifier this way on his final form. And you should have more than enough halos for the Climax Brace at that point.
Then, equip that and Gaze of Despair, same weapons and enter the 1st Alfheim in the Burning Ground chapter. And just keep smacking the crap out of the enemies till you get the 9999 x9.9 and keep going till the times runs out and you fail, rinse and repeat. You'll get 10-50 Mill Halo's in literally no time flat.
Then of course just hit the phone booths and start unlocking stuff!
The second one though, you need all Umbran Tears to buy the Climax Brace. I don't think I'm up for that.

The game has actual cheat codes to unlock the super hidden stuff like that and the nunchakus without fulfilling the crazy requirements, actually. You have to go to the phone booths in chapter 2 and do a modified version of the Konami code. See here.
Oh great, thanks.

You mentioned the nunchakus but AFAIK the nunchakus are the only weapon that's not unlockable using cheatsThe game has actual cheat codes to unlock the super hidden stuff like that and the nunchakus without fulfilling the crazy requirements, actually. Have you tried to replace one of the alt costumes in the game with the Wii U costume instead?I'm trying to get the Wii U exclusive costumes over and no matter what I do it's just not showing up. I've found Link, from the Wii U files, and I've tried replacing the Bayonetta model in the original files but no matter what I do she just looks normal in game.
Guess I'll have to wait for someone with more knowledge than me to release a mod tool.
Is this game broken all of a sudden for anyone else? I was able to play it at a locked 60fps on day one. Loaded it up the other day and now it's bouncing from the low 30s to 60fps at 1080p.
Running on a 6700k, 1070, and 16GB of memory.
I don't have a save that far yet on PC, so I can't test it unfortunatelyHave you tried to replace one of the alt costumes in the game with the Wii U costume instead?
I wonder is it true what many ppl are talking about, that Steam for some reason is causing performance problems for this game while pirated version is working great and without any performance issues. I'm seeing many ppl online are complaining about fps drops, stuttering, flickering... on some stages.
Have you tried turning off vsync?
How well does this run on lower end machines? Is it playable at a decent enough framerate on a laptop?
Wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo bankrolled another Bayonetta game. Smash was good advertisement for her and Nintendo should have an exclusive action game. I think it would sell better than part 2.
I really hope this happens. Bayonetta's inclusion in Smash 4 felt like a strong indication that interest in the franchise is holding steady and perhaps increasing. And the sales of Bayonetta on PC seem to support that.Wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo bankrolled another Bayonetta game. Much like this post! Thanks for what is obviously very relevant to the thread....

Hold the punch button to pull enemies toward you, or to pull yourself toward large enemies.Ugh, can't even imagine using the cheats to unlock weapons. Like, what would you even use the nunchucks for if you don't understand the intricacies of the combat system? That's one of the things that makes Bayo tower over the sequel imo. All the weapons have more or less the same combo/move set and at first it just feels kinda pointless, but the more of the systems you understand the more depth there is to discover in those details.
I still have no idea how to do combos with Kulshedra ugh. Only use it for crowd control. So much to learn...
I tried turning all the settings to the lowest setting and believe I also turned off v-sync while still running into massive framerate dips.
I'll try turning it off for sure when I get home.
