Now that I think about it, he pretty much only jobbed in the main timeline.

Super pretty much destroyed the closure we got for trunks after the cell games. It was cool to see him again, but just going back to his timeline destroying it was just like...what. And then trunks is like "ok whatever I'll go to another one". Lame ending to an arc with good potential, and for me really tarnished much of the "history" of trunks.

I hate that people think the ending was just "Okay, lets go to a new timeline".
That is not what happened in that ending, the last time we see Trunks we see him cry because he couldn't protect his world. The ending was not a "everything is fixed now" ending, it's sad ending where the heroes lost and Trunks and Mai decide that they want to live in another time line only because the people they know are there.

The best part of the Future Trunks arc is that it's technically Goku's fault

It's always goku's fault

Plus we wouldn't get the Gohan pose at the end to Trunks saying "it's okay Trunks, we may have lost, but YOU still live. That's all that matters."

Honestly I feel like that's close to how the Japanese voice actor plays Black. A subdued creepy version of Goku. It just doesn't sound as right with the English voice.

He should tone down the grundge.

It's way too forced and gravely for one.

I half expect him to say I'm Batman any second now like Christian Bale would. He should just use the SSJ4 voice and call it a day.

It's still kinda weird because the characters and the tone of everything doesn't seem to treat the moment appropriately. (Except for Trunks at the end) But I don't dislike it for being an ending with consequences.

It sounds like subdued Goku. Regular Goku has grundge. What I'm saying is he probably has to tone down the grundge along with being a subdued goku for it to work better, where as I feel like the Japanese voice actor ONLY had to be more subdued and creepy for it to sound good.

I don't have a problem with how the Trunks arc ends, but it's meh at this point. Some people like it, some people
are wrong
don't

That's because I think most of those episodes haven't utilized that aspect, and as such, have been boring instead of funny. I do think think the baseball episode is an exception. I don't disagree with the fact that they can be good, like you said, but I don't think that "can be good" is the same as "are good".

Yeah I didn't think that was the best wording for my point lol.

Anything can be executed good or bad, but I think that fact that it's such a dissonance from their usual over-the-topness is an inherent good thing about the concept of those episodes.

Tone was totally off at the end; they should have done a better job

shrugs*
I like those voices. British Black over Solid Snake Black.
Also thats quite an interesting voice for zamasu imo. I like the uniqueness of it
