Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite gameplay

MvC3 has great animations, so I don't see what the problem is. If every character was remade entirely from scratch we'd have a starting roster of 20 characters.

Time stone!Time stone!Time stone!

It always urks me when a voice line is tied to a certain move

Looks ok so far, visuals look different for sure.

Recycling assets is one of the best things about the franchise, it's partially what allows these huge roster sizes and diversity of characters to be possible.

Something about the hitstop or game speed when combos start happening looks like complete and total garbage.

I still don't get it why people still complaining about reusing assets since it save the development the time so they could make more characters and that meant more characters on the roster.

Ya know there is a thing called a 'Soul Gem' in this game. Just saying.

The depth of gameplay the gems is going to provide your team is pretty insane. Ya'll ain't seen nothing yet. The space gem was pretty much letting Strider do a god damn infinite!

Didn't MVC3 really just recreate a lot of the classic move looks and animations from the sprite-based games anyway? In that sense, is being able to directly reuse animations for another polygonal title any different from that?

It's funny seeing people in here defend asset reuse when SneakersSO has stated in the other thread that no assets are being recycled from previous games for MVCI.

This can't get quoted enough.

I want my fighters to be created from scratch every time. Also, I want them released in a timely fashion. Also, I don't like DLC, so create the roster from scratch, but also have a huge roster.

Also, have mostly new characters. But if my favorite old character isn't in the game, I'm going to complain about it. And he better have the moves I liked before and not new moves that I don't like. Because really what I want is everything to be new, but not new, different, but the same.

Looks like Hawkeye has a new level 3, Ant-Man basically confirmed, no?

Thor has a new super (lvl 3) and they demoted Strider's ouroboros super to lvl 1.

Chris seems to have an ammo mechanic now, looks interesting.

Hype.

How many characters are confirmed/expected for this game?

I think we have 14 confirmed characters, 1 confirmed DLC character, and 6-7 rumored characters.

Confirmed Characters

Captain America
Captain Marvel
Hawkeye
Hulk
Iron Man
Rocket Raccoon
Thor
Ultron

Chris Redfield
Chun Li
Mega Man X
Morrigan
Ryu
Sigma - DLC
Strider

Rumored List
Ant-Man
Dr. Strange
Ms. Marvel

Dante
Frank West
Jedah
Nathan Spencer

I don't think these animations are copied entirely from MvC3. Something looks clunky/slower about them like they've fiddled with them, they look like they have less weight exaggeration behind them.

Also MvC3 had a 38 roster count so yeah poor argument.

I don't get why Capcom can't get this.

They never do anything right. It's so easy.

Ya'll should be speculating what the Soul, Mind, & Reality gems will do.

Really feel like Injustice 2 looks and or plays better than this. Not sure why, but Marvel cs Capcom games just always make me want more Strider games.

Dudes be posting with a monocle on when talking about not wanting reusable assets, amazing graphics and a large roster with 2017 Capcom as the developer lol.

Yall kill me.

Looks cheap and gameplaywise does nothing for me. Put MvC2 on modern systems

> says new game looks cheap

> wants port of 17 year old game made entirely of resused sprites, mismatched 3D backgrounds and inappropriate muzak OST

> says new gameplay looks bland

> wants old gameplay that has been thoroughly exhausted

Anyway, at least they ported MvC3 to modern consoles and PC. If they ported MvC2 I guarantee the netcode would be just as shit as it was on PS360.
