So while I've been keeping up with the thread, I haven't actually been watching the episodes. I just watched from the beginning of the U7 vs. U9 prelims to the Goku vs. Krillin/18 episode, and...

Man, the direction and animation and basically everything has shot up dramatically. Even the best animated Black arc episodes have more dips in quality than the average ep nowadays. The pacing feels much less rushed, too. I'm really loving it.

Where you been.

The artistic direction of goku vs 17 is pretty much also pretty much one of the best in Super.

The colors, backgrounds and story boarding were top notch. :D We're getting a lot more creative stuff this arc, it's awesome.

It's pretty crazy that the worst dips we've seen this arc are usually no more than a small part of an episode as opposed to a half of or even an entire episode. We've gone 11 episodes with a prett solid overall quality.

HYYYNG.

I want to know what green attack is

It should just be called Big Green Bang

Ok, let's call it 緑の魔貫光殺砲

Are you content now Slaythe

Let's call it スレイスースレイヤー.
(I'm hoping I spelt that somewhere close to right.)

We're getting into dangerous territory so I guess I should go into hiding now.

Not really excited for the fight. It'll probably be another shabby one with minimal great moments of choreography/animation/art.

That picture with
Vegeta and the kids
excited me most for some reason.

fuuuuuuuuuuck

at this point, piccolo shouldn't even flinch when that shit happens. regrow like boo and keep on going.
Funny thing I was just talking to some friends about this yesterday and how Piccolo hadn't don't that in Super yet (from what I remember).

Vegeta is slowly accepting Goten into his family. Gohan has a father who cares about him, and soon Goten will as well.

I would sometimes wonder why Cell could regenerate so much better than Piccolo, then I remember Frieza's bullshit of surviving cut in half in space after a planet explosion. Then in RoF he can even survive being cut into literal pieces

If only Gero had waited a few more years to collect data from Beerus, Whis and more powerful enemies, Cell could've been unstoppable.

You see guys, they planned it all.

They made Gohan super lame at the beginning of Super so they could hype up his returned.

Totally planned.

Not needed.

He would have gotten that much more powerful by simply training.
Save your soul : don't.
Dem 4 month gains. I might just rewatch some clips here and there, the only problem is that I usually start with something like Frost vs Piccolo and end up reading the back story of Bardock, history of the Saiyans and more lol.

Please someone translate it.

While Goku (v: Nozawa Masako) is recruiting Android 17 (v: Nakahara Shigeru), Gohan (v: Nozawa Masako) visits Piccolo (v: Furukawa Toshio) and has started training. Gohan starts attacking fiercely but Piccolo is easily able to intercept the blows. Piccolo senses that while Gohan has great drive, his attacks are unhoned. Gohan envisions the people he wants to protect, like Videl, Pan, and Bulla, and gains a fierce expression. However, his attack on Piccolo is not decisive, and instead he is finally struck down with a heavy blow. Piccolo tells Gohan that overly strong feelings can be like shackles, and that this was to pinpoint the imbalances in his spirit.
