Sony Playstation: First Party Studios & their Current Projects

If LocoRoco is on the left side, that will be hilarious.

^Copied from the other Sony thread that's going on.

If you're a fan and believe Sony isn't perfect and hence you complain, why can't you do the same for Microsoft, instead of defending it with all of your might and honour?

I'd say you are secretly an Xbox fanboy and are just parading around Sony threads, pretending to be a fan. But then again, I could be wrong so I won't accuse anyone of anything.

Have a great day.

Why should I criticize Microsoft when I don't even have an Xbox, I think Spencer is incompetence but that doesn't hurt me one bit.
I'm on the defensive side because all the things they did on Xbox that I don't like doesn't effect me.
Plus I think pile-on MS with the obvious argument is boring.

Long story short.....can you (or anyone for that matter) list the 13 games? Thanks.

The Last of Us: Part II
Gran Turismo Sport
God of War
Spiderman
Death Stranding
Detroit
Days Gone
Knack 2
Everybody's Golf
Dreams

Farpoint
WiLD
Matterfall

Also remasters for:
Various Wipeout Games
Locoroco
Patapon

And Uncharted: Lost Legacy is stand alone, will be getting a physical release, and is $40 so I think that should count as well.

My 13 number is from the Bolded. Didnt count the PSVR titles (there are 2 announced right now, Farpoint and V No Heroes Allowed R) or the remasters

4 of these should come out this year, so that leaves the other 9 and unnanounced projects for the next couple of years

I think the only chance for Dreams to shine again is to show either a proper Platformer or Adventure level made with it. And the most important thing should be: fluid controls of the characters.

It's super amazing what you can do with Dreams but it won't have much appeal if all the built characters controll so bad and look straight out of a low budget demo/game when they start walking.
I'm really curious if they can get this right for their next showing and of course the final game.

A fun looking platformer level with fluid controls would probably help Dreams the most to regain some attention.

They really should re-release Puppeteer, even as a PSN only release. An absolute gem of a game that fell under the radar due to the PS4's release.

I still wish Knack and Puppeteer were reversed and the latter was the PS4 launch title instead. Then I'd have Puppeteer 2 to look forward to right now.

they should have tried to make all the games that were launched closely with the PS4 crossgen titles. Puppeteer, Gran Turismo 6, Beyond Two Souls, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus

Spencer have been delivering at all front and to you biggest complaint, Microsoft studio have been releasing games at the pace they always been since Xbox one launch, whether or not he's delivery on that front depend on individual taste.

Wait, so which is it?! These are very different comments made only a day apart.

Also, I was having an argument on Twitter with someone earlier, and I put this list together:

And it really shows how as the generation has gone on Sony's output has geared up while MS's has dialled down. MS did a really good job with the Xbone launch and all of those new/smaller/weird games, and it's a shame they've almost completely given up that side of publishing.

^ Driveclub was 2014 (though it would have been cool had it launched), and Sony did publish Malicious Unfallen and Nioh (though the latter was mostly a Team Ninja game and publishing it just allowed it to come to more territories). Your point stands; I just had to quibble with that, mostly the Driveclub part. =P

Yeah, that's my mistake with the peach '2013' band being a space too low. I can't really be bothered editing & re-uploading now, but thanks for pointing it out!

I deliberately left Malicious off (don't know if it's coming to other platforms or what), and I think we'll need to see whether Nioh remains exclusive or goes to other platforms before it can be used in List Wars™.

True, especially since Rise of the Tomb Raider is not on the list for that reason. List Wars™ are serious business!

I think Media Molecule might actually be the ones most excited for the Dreams beta. I think they just can't wait to see what the community manages to do with their tools that maybe even they didn't think would be possible.

I really hope we get news soon of a new Ratchet game. The reboot was my favourite game of last year, and at a budget price too no less. With it selling so well, they must surely be working on a sequel. Please!

I still don't get Dreams.

With LBP the hook was instant and obvious to anyone from the very first presentation. You can build a platform game using simulated real-world objects and physics. And it includes a campaign of its own for those not interested in getting creative. Simple, and full of charm (and sadly floaty physics).

But with Dreams, I'm still confused. Is it basically a 3D version of LBP - where you're creating 3D gameplay worlds instead of 2D?

"See ya in the next reboot!"

I'm hoping for a new Ratchet, as well, with a PS4-caliber arena!

You seem to get the main part yea

Can't you also make things like animations (movies, etc.) and static images (drawings/paintings) in Dreams as well? Like, it's not just games/levels, right?

I don't know if it's first party or not but it would be awesome to have a game like Afrika made on PS4. Give me that Uncharted 4 jeep w/ the Horizon forest and desert locations with tons of animals running around.

You forgot Halo Wars DE this year. Also Happy Wars is ID@Xbox. Also listed KI Classic but not KI 2 Classic. That's why lists like these always fall short, there's always stuff missing and stuff that probably shouldn't be there. List wars never really paint a good picture but then get quoted and spread :P

Also make it for PSVR and I'm there day 1. I'm a big fan of these kind of experiences.

We have a Ratchet on PS4 and it's great. Y'all asking for a sequel and here I am dreaming about a certain raccoon who happens to be a thief to get the same treatment. It has been too long Gaf, too long.

We're never going to get a Mario Tanuki game on the PS4

Even if you add the stuff you're talking about, the overall story won't change. It'll still be that MS is slowly but surely not putting out the same amount of FP content that Sony is, and the longer it goes the less close it becomes. Next year's going to look ridiculous.

And the sad thing is, I want MS to do well. I'm a Sony fanboy, but Sony does best when they're afraid of losing that #1 spot. But atm MS isn't giving them jack to be scared of.

As someone who thought Sly 1 was all right and couldn't finish Sly 2, I'll stick with asking for a Ratchet sequel. =P

Thanks, I need to add the Forza Horizon Fast and Furious standalone DLC as well. Few tweaks to make so I'll probably redo it tomorrow.
