What got leaked from the other companies?

Did you really just call Ubi's presentation "esoteric"?

They release some of the best sellers every year, even in this outstanding year with all of the excitement from Horizon, Zelda, Japan is back!! etc the best selling game is Wildlands :/

They are important like it or not, and they had presentations where they won E3 and game of the show stuff like that year when they unveiled Watch Dogs.

Problem is that they lost TONS of credit because of the downgrades fiascos so people are very skeptical and can't get as hyped, but maybe they will manage to redeem themselves this year.

You are right about EA though, 95% of the time they win "worst show" unfortunately, they are horrible.

Bethesda do have a shot, lots of people thought that their first press conference where they unveiled Fallout 4 was the best one of that year, they know how to run a great show.
There's a certain 'wing it' element to Ubisoft. Perhaps it's the European humor but the dancing, the bright colors and the awkward jokes Aisha Tyler makes every conferences make the whole affair feel impenetrable like I'm watching a one-man stage play, look to the audience and feel like I'm the only one who 'doesn't get it'

Wasn't this gif the same year Microsoft had Usher sing at their press conference (2013)?

Any expectations or rumours about Project Trinity? I remember it was heavily rumoured to be revealed at the TGS event or at the PS4 Pro reveal event as well.

I Like Ubi's confrences last years was not great as did the 3 segments on each game took forever but think it's nice having a more "fun/funny" confrence also anything with Matt and Trey is going to have a few good jokes, I think if Microsoft have a few great games up their sleave aswell as hardware or Nintendo actually have load of AAA games, then behtesta which is a massive wildcard, so Sony might have a really high bar by the time it's their turn, again not sure what the hell they can have left after all the announcements but sure they have some stuff and know they need it this year more than most.

Still annoyed it's 2am local time oh well will stay up even though just got back from the US the week before (Kinda Funny live)

Y'all do this tired routine every year lol.

The lack fo leaks is just kinda intriguing for me. Look how many leaks the other companeis got but none from Sony this year while all the new games were leaked last year pre-E3.
This scares me to confirm what I said in the other First Party thread that Sony has no new games to show this year and will only re-show the introduced games.
lol

You guys need to factor in that they will spend a lot of time on third party this year. That includes Battlefront, CoD, and Destiny. For reference, they spent over 10 minutes on CoD alone last year.

This doesnt even factor in the possibility for other SW games (they showed Lego SW last year), a big Ubisoft game (they are frequent partners), and the slimmer possibility of RDR2.

Edit: looks like I'm too late
Either Sony has stuff to announce or they don't. Sony had big third party stuff in 2015 but that didn't stop them from announcing two new first party titles, announce a previously announced first party title again, and announce FF7 and Shenmue III.

...and Syndicate was Sony. We'll know soon though. It'll be revealed any day now.
It will be at Microsoft's conference.

I disagree, they can have a great show just by showing tons of new content for their amazing upcoming line up, I do agree that it can never be as exciting as new announcements and megatons from the competition and that's why they won't win E3 without new announcements, but it can still be very good and they will most probably reaffirm who got the best line up, new games or not.

Sorry but I don't see how showing the same games as last year is competitive or exciting to your base, when the competition will be announcing new things. That'd be a disaster. It would also reinforce the sentiment that "Sony already blew their load"

It really is tiring

So you not gonna show excitement when Microsoft shows of cuphead, sea of thieves, crackdown 3 and state of decay 2?

We've been seeing Cuphead and Crackdown for THREE YEARS now. This year will be Sea of Thieves' THIRD E3. It'll be neat to see those games again but if that's all there is? I wouldn't call that an exciting show at all.

You know what..shit lol ard those three were bad examples carry on 😂 State of decay 2 tho! Hype

I mean the same could be said for MS. Cuphead, Sea of Thieves, Forza, Crackdown.

Also from what we know will be at Sonys conference. Destiny 2, CODWWII, SWBF2 etc. Even if they show off already announced games its still going to be good because people are hyped for that.

That said I do believe Sony will show off new games. Both first and 3rd party.

Cause we didn't see anything really from Spiderman, cause we barely know enough about GOW4, we only had a very small glimpse of Detroit, seen basically just a tech demo of Days Gone, they can show a big set piece from U4's expansion, more info and maybe in-engine gameplay concepts from TLOU 2 and Death Stranding, 2 games we barely know nothing about, re-introduction of Dreams including campaign gameplay to make it look more cohesive, RDR2 first gameplay, more from WiLD, announcing release dates/ time frame to all above games, isn't that a good enough show already?

Not saying it would be more exciting than a megaton show from MS or Nintendo, of course it can't beat new stuff from the competition, but on its own right it's still a great show and not many would argue even after all of the new announcemens from the competition that Sony still got the best overall line up of upcoming games, even if Sony wouldn't have the best press conference this year because it wasn't as exciting.

Other than the usual biggies (GoW, Spiderman, etc) I would appreciate some new info on games like Wild, Deep Down and Matterfall. 😀

But I do feel we go through this every year. Citing lack of leaks means they have nothing new to show.

Not true, and I prefer lack of leaks. It honestly tempers my expectations. If I know what's coming before hand I'm not as surprised.

Also a big reason why the show last year was so good was because Sony paced their conference perfectly.

We've had several teases saying it would be great anyway.

Expecting stuff we know, third parties, 2-3 psvr games,Sp new game and maybe 1or 2 partnerships

shinobi was the person that primarily leaked what was going to be shown at Sony's major shows last year and he's already posted this about their E3 conference

So, I don't think there's really anything to be concerned about.

Which parts of the Sony show did he know about beforehand?

Yep. This is how I feel. I for one would be psyched if we got as many gameplay demos as last year (which is likely and could be exceeded)

Deep Down - could this have been re-reworked back into a more conventional game again? With Sony Japan collab?

Pretty much and that's going to make up the conference. I mean there will be a huge segment dedicated to 3rd parties.
Of course there is , they have 3 of the biggest games releasing this year(Rdr2 not included not coming this yr lol) for marketing we've barely seen anything of them. They'll for sure have demos.

Yea I trust Shin. If he says it's going to be good. It will be.

I'm not expecting rumors to start right now either. I expect we'll hear more about a week before the conference.

It's always a good thing when there's near no leaks. Sony has been good in the recent years on having enough big announcements. Finger cross Gio Corsi pops in to annouce some good stuff.

I disagree with the bolded. The conversation wouldn't be "well Sony still has the best lineup", it would be "Sony blew their load in 2016 while the competition (mostly Nintendo) had an exciting show and a promising road of software"

I just have different expectations than some of yall. With the Switch being a success so far and Microsoft bringing out a new console, this is definitely not a year to show PS4 owners a replay of 2016. That's not exciting.

I think you're speaking mainly for yourself here. The conversation most certainly won't be like that from PS4 owners,it may be used as bait for a console war from other ppl but aside from ppl are thirsty for more Gow,Spider-Man,uncharted,days gone and Detroit footage. Ppl are optimistic dreams will be showed off better, ppl are waiting to see what sucker punch are doing, I could go on. It's not exciting to you, don't apply that to the fanbase

I don't see it as a replay at all. We have yet to see any gameplay from Spidey or a major combat sequence or set-piece from God of War to name but two examples. The message will be that Sony has games. I don't think Nintendo will announce much either, Super Mario Odyssey will be the big game for them. As for Microsoft, yes, they will have Scorpio but the games are likely titles we've seen before for the most part. There's a fair chance Sony will again be the studio with the most games and that's what counts. They will have one or two new reveals (Sucker Punch) and that's enough when you have such a diverse line-up already.

Yeah IIRC we knew Spidey was a thing but many assumed it was Sucker Punch. Days Gone was a registered IP but Bend's game was known as Dead Don't Ride because that was the hashtag, and GoW had leaked art online.

I think the rumours/leaks/insider info will ramp up as the next month progresses.

Is this the same place as the conference they held last year? I hope they do it the same way, with the orchestra & everything.

Nintendo will most likely have the most exciting announcements simply because we really don't know much.

MS showing off a new console means next to nothing is games aren't at the forefront.

Like I said. I think Sony will show some new stuff. Both first and 3rd party. but you're also going to get plenty of what we've seen before as well.

That said. You're perspective is coming from a hardcore enthusiast POV. Majority of people watching the Sony conference will see games like COD, Destiny, Star Wars, GT sport and will be more than satisfied.

It's all about the games and If Sony does what they did last year. They'll still be the talk of the town.

The orchestra was amazing and I would love it if they came back but the thing is you need something really bombastic, like God of War, if you're gonna open with an orchestra.

I wonder what sort of game will fit that bill this year.

This is the first time I read this as a concern to anyone.

I'll just keep playing an be excited for the huge load of games we got for the next two years at least.

Same! Having attended E3 from 2010-2013, I can say that those theater events are nearly as good as actually being there, if not better due to the perfect camera angles =)
The crowd enhances it. I got popcorn spilled on me when kratos revealed himself by a giddy woman behind me. Was I mad nah lol me and the wife was just as excited.

The guy in the back yelling holy shit holy shit Kojima don't mess with me if u show something right now

lol amazing

This discussion is about people saying that Sony doesn't have to show up with new games, and instead could just re-show everything they did last year. If you think that wouldn't reflect badly on the PS4, when the competition is showing NEW things, then I dunno what to say.

Yup same place.

Play the beta....Tonight!!

Even better, they should add a new "Go Dream" button in the PS4 OS area of the each game, enabling everyone to jump into the crazy worlds that gamers would create with those games as inspirations. :D

I always wished for MM projects to be somehow integrated inside console OS, leading to the creation of much more intense "miiverse".

It wouldn't. It'll be used as flame war bait for sure tho.
