This E3 sony has it in the bags all they gotta do is

show off Bloodborne 2, real gameplay of The last of us 2, New Kojima trailer, shenmue 3 story trailer with gameplay, and thats it and they win imo

and...i'm not even including more stuff they have to show like more god of war 4 footage, Detroit become human release and gameplay, SPiderman insominc gameplay,

Then ofcourse show off some 3rd party stuff like idk maybe square will show up to announce kingdom hearts 3 release date or FF7 remake release lulolol

Microsoft has no chance all their hype will on another halo game, and Nintendo already blew its load back in January with the switch direct footage of mario odyssey, and we know whats thats going to play like so no more new shock there.

How do you know this? If anything Nintendo should have the most unknowns/surprises out of the three

eh i'm just assumming lol. since I don't think they will have another game as important or big as mario this E3. after zelda what else do they have left? smash 5 is probably long way off, maybe a pokemon announcement or metroid but i doubt it.

kinda hope they show another new ip though.

I agree with you I'm a bit afraid especially that they might spend a lot of time on arms when it's getting released a few days after. But as long as they show a lot of Mario I suppose there won't be anything to complain about

How certain are we that bb 2 is a lock?

Enthusiasts on GAF will tell you it's a definite. It's not, Miyazaki is free to work on what he wants and prioritise whichever games he wants. Sony doesn't own him and he's not a huge fan of sequels.

Just because Bloodborne II is a "no brainer" doesn't mean it's a definite or coming this E3.

He isn't a huge fan of sequels but they not too long ago released the third iteration of their strongest franchise.

Which was the last game that was put in to production before he became President of FROM.

I'm not saying a sequel will never happen now but reading GAF, you'd think it's Playstation's ace in the hole.

Is there any update on Capcom rumor?

Nintendo hasn't revealed their fall line up and early 2018 line up so I'm hyped for that.

I think Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter 5, Retro's new IP are all likely to be announced at their event.

Sure, I feel ya.

I do think From will be announcing another PS exclusive next month though.

Yeah, looking forward to Monster Hunter 5.

Looking forward to MH5 on PS4 👀
Ohohohohoho

Don't hurt me
Let me dream!

That plus they probably had a contract or agreement with Bandai Namco that forced them to finish the trilogy.

The weirdest thing about the Bloodborne 2 talk is a) we know Miyazaki has specifically said he's not interested in Dark Souls/Bloodborne sequels and b) Sony are probably the most open major publisher in the industry to new IPs. So to me, assuming they have a deal with Sony, the question isn't "why wouldn't they make Bloodborne 2?", it's "why wouldn't they make a new IP?"

Has there been any announcement about them streaming the conference to theaters again?

I really like going to that. I know I can watch it at home, but I like being in the crowd with people.

Last year they announced it really late. I remember panicking thinking they weren't going to do it when I had already made plans around it.

I'm sure they'll go that route again.

I've gone to all three of them so far. It's incredible. I've never enjoyed E3 more. I'll be doing it for as long as they keep offering it.

My heart can't take the confidence of so many posters expecting FFVIIR to make an appearance. If it's not there, I'll be so bummed.

episode 1 is totally coming out holiday

that or give me my fucking dissidia already (dissidia is hilariously unfinished in arcades still and wont ever come out til like 2020)

Anyone else think we might see a cinematic trailer for Hitman Season 2? Considering the first season had PlayStation marketing, I figured it would be a pretty solid bet.

Edit: Go fucking figure that I post this and news comes out that IO is being sold off.

The best part about this thread is the complete, wild speculation that mixes with all the shit that is happening behind the scenes to secure the stuff that happens AT the actual showcase. Even for us inside, it's just as chaotic and while I hate my job during this goddamn show, the payoffs are amazing.

Keep speculating, friends. It makes my day when I see that all the planning and plotting is undermined by a random cast-off prediction. I don't mean that facetiously; you guys are good at this thing.

[Full disclosure] I am a PlayStation employee, and literally not one letter of what I've posted is in any way representative of or implying position of anyone at PlayStation or Sony Interactive Entertainment's stance on things.

This is me geeking out with you guys and loving what E3 is to you. Because to us, it's a creeping deadline of shit we have to manage for a singular moment that we will have to work around for another six months and it could go either way. Nintendo and Microsoft are both doing an amazing job right now, and this is literally what E3 is all about: showcases of what you've got and an overabundance of stuff to gorge yourselves on as we see it all unveiled.

This the the best fuckin' industry, guys. We get to see stuff that makes us all happy we bought (or might buy) a system for. Or stuff that makes us want to buy one! Or rail against, I dunno how your general sentiment is going to go, but that unknown keeps me plugging away at all this prep.

It's worth it, and I'm happy you're with me on the hype train.

I would like to hear more about this. Like, when does planning start? How is the process broken down up to the point of E3? What is it like the day before E3 or the week leading into it? At what point do things peak in terms of chaos? What type of stuff goes wrong and how do you fix it? Do you know some of what will be revealed or is all of it hidden from you (this isn't to get info out of you but just more curiosity on my end?

Thanks for all that you do! The show last year was phenomenal.

you guys put on a good show

just want to say that the venue from last year, and this year upcoming, should be the only venue if it means live music.

Wait, they use Shrine Auditorium again this year? Is that confirm?
Edit: How can I missed the OP...my bad. Hype for live orchestra!

It's worth it, and I'm happy you're with me on the hype train.

I can't speak for everyone, but to me you guys haven't put on a bad show this gen. The constant stream of games for the future is what makes me excited about E3, and for my money, nobody does that better than PlayStation.

Keep doing what you're doing, I'm looking forward to the show.

I'm in France and I stay up every year to watch the Sony conference. I love that weird crazy hype there is during that time here (3am) on Twitter, most of my timeline is asleep so it's a flood of reactions to what's going on during the show. That's awesome.

I hate to break this to you but...
Yeah... With Shadow of the Tomb Raider basically confirmed to not be getting announced at E3, the Avengers project not being shown until 2018 and this announcement it seems it will be a very Japanese-game focused E3 for Square Enix. Hopefully KHIII, FFVIIR, DQXI (western announcement), Project Octopath Traveller maybe Seiken Densetsu Collection and new announcements. Not expecting all those at Sony's conference obviously, just guessing SE's E3 lineup.

The only reason why I feel like Bloodborne II won't happen is because it would have leaked by now.

I believe the only reason Project Beast leaked was because it was originally supposed to be announced at TGS 2013. However it was in bad shape technically (you can see tons of screen tearing and slowdown in the trailer) so Sony decided to pull it and reserve it for E3. But the trailer they cut for TGS ended up leaking out.

Seconded, that was so great with the live orchestra playing everything.

The PS conferences have been fantastic this gen.

I feel like this year is especially difficult for predictions in comparison to previous years (although FFVIIR, Shenmue 3 were impossible to predict)

There is so much they could show off this year but you know they won't have time for everything. Trying to predict what will get cut to make room for other stuff isn't easy.

With that said, I don't think we will see FFVIIR. I'd say GoW, Destiny 2, Days Gone, Spiderman, KH3, Shenmue 3, CoD WWII will make appearances. Sprinkle in a couple surprises and we good Sony.

Right, but Dark Souls III also was leaked.

In a very bizarre way, too.

TGS was awesome just for the song they opened with.

Some nice games in them too

Also, if I'm looking at the right year, E3 2014 may not have been as amazing as the recent conferences but it still had some great stuff like Grim Fandango, The Order and No Man's Sky (at the time, for both of them), Uncharted 4, Batman, Abzu, and of course Bloodborne, even if it was just the CG trailer at first.

Content was fine, just usual bad pacing lots of talking old Sony conference.
Bloodborne was CGI trailer, way less hype than current show gameplay and keep audience guessing style.

Oh in that part I agree, they've been refining the presentation really well with each one.
