I have raw pictures of that so it would be easy to compare it to.

They promised not to have story mode NPCs. Damian Wayne isn't an NPC; he just has a different move set for one story mode battle. It's less than half of a move set, actually -- he doesn't appear to have a super or any of his Eskrima stick moves.

Well technically I'm not so sure.
He has a different name. And a different moveset. That does absolutely make him a non playable fighter.

In the "regular" game, Damian uses a sword and is younger. This is just Injustice 1 Nightwing's moveset (staff mode) with a new model. There wouldn't be a way to make this a premiere skin
lol no, this is just a technicality. It's totally an unplayable NPC.
It might technically be Damian, but it's 100% Nightwing, a character that is not playable.

The moveset is most likely unbalanced for i2 and not entirely all there. Just like the previous nrs nonplayable characters.

People wanted characters like Rain that had some work put into it and fightable.
This isnt the exact same but a similar and still different enough situation people gonna want this version being playable im gonna guarantee.
I don't see what makes this so impossible. They can just skin the sword into a staff and keep the trait they implemented for Nightwing while using the Robin model.
Nightwing and Robin have nothing in common though. Not the same special moves, not the same trait, and not the same neutrals. Keep in mind Nightwing has 2 stances, and his batons stance has nothing to do with Robin's sword.

Im already praying for Rain and Fujin for MK 11.
If you recreate this shot we can compare the resolution pretty well, because in 1080p there seems to be some strong aliasing/dithering going on on her hair.
Same. There was literally no reason to not have Rain and the others playable.

I still hate that people got so in their feelings about those NPC fights in MKX. I thought is was dope that the fights in the story mode weren't limited to the main roster.
I loved his design too, my favourite they've ever given him. Totally thought he was in when I saw the trailer, shit hurts.

Nightwing and Robin are both identities for the character of Damian Wayne, who is playable. It's just that he has less than half of an old Injustice 1 move set ported over for a story mode fight. This isn't a big deal. I'd be upset if Dick Grayson appeared as an NPC with a brand new model, but this is stupid. People just can't help but complain about every fun little Easter egg we get.
Yeah, it was great.
What people were pissed about were fighting some of their favourite characters with near full movelists and complete redesigns in story mode and then not being able to play as them. It was the ultimate dick-tease with no payoff.

It's kinda a big deal to people who like Nightwing and see him almost there, but not quite.
It was already a bizarre omission in the game, this is kind of just rubbing it in fan's faces. If they wanted a post crazy Superman Damian to be in the story, they were free to do what they did in Injustice and add Dick, with Damian being the actual Nightwing in story mode (Dick never appears in the story mode)
Ugh...that's clearly 1080p, you can see very clear aliasing all over the image. You just blew it up to 4K in your share settings.
What a disappointment. So either no Pro support at all or at least no downsampling for HDTVs.

Yeah I looked at it closer and the aliasing was really apparent in that stage. Says PS4 Pro enhanced on the box so maybe it's a setting I need to find or its just going to checkerboard on 4k displays and 1080p users will get nothing.
Yeah, but this isn't the Nightwing everyone wants -- it's the fake Injusticeverse Nightwing (Damian), who is already in the game. And again, the Eskrima stick moves are gone, and he doesn't have a super. It's nowhere near a complete move set. It's just a relatively low effort nod back to Damian from the first game that people are taking the wrong way.

Are there any graphical settings in the menu? Usually 4K would be the default on Pro though...
Anyway, thanks for confirming this. Not to sound dramatic or cliché but I saved 69€ and I'm going to cancel my preorder tomorrow.
I told myself not to support any games that don't support my Pro investment, in principle. Especially after more and more developers seem to be dropping support now. Sucks though, because Injustice did actually interest me a lot, in stark contrast to all other NRS fighting games before.Can I share your Image in the Pro support thread? We're talking about one of the first superhero side kicks who has been around longer than 90% of the roster and has remained relevant through his entire history. Someone who has been in basically every character in the game's business at some point in time.
If the cameo isn't appreciated... why bother with it? It's not like the story needed an appearance from old Damian. In Injustice he just pops in and is like "is that Dick?" "Nah, that's Damian" "Okay"

It says there's people online but I haven't tried yet. I'm also ass at NRS fighters and havent played one since MKX launch so I need to learn the game better before I mess around online.

Yeah no graphic settings in options. I have patch 1.01 so maybe there will be another on that enhances something or maybe the cinematics and clashes/supers are in higher definition. There is an option for HDR10 but I can't test it.
I think I'm being misunderstood. I'm not expecting a super or unique moveset, just a skinned staff and change of voice/dialogue. I understand it'd be Robin's everything else
It's in principle. I'm not cancelling it because it looks terrible. It doesn't look bad at all. It's one of the nicest looking fighters to date, but I spend 400$ on a Pro and believed Sony there would be Pro support for every upcoming game and downsampling for HDTVs. At first there was, but now a clear trend has started that either the Pro isn't supported or it's poorly and unfairly supported. Like nothing for HDTV peasants. I'm conveying Sony and developers a message with my wallet.
Not sure what to make of it.
Your capture was 4K, can you try capturing 1080p ? I wonder if the upscaling damaged the picture quality or not.
