Isnt the Zelda team big enough for 2 projects? I'm assuming the BoTW team is entirely busy with the season pass roadmap, whereas the other part of the studio is working on a top down Zelda. Maybe one that combines Between Worlds and Triforce Heroes? A coop Zelda would work well with the Switch.
1. The show will open with Odyssey trailer and demo/overview, with a November rease.
2. Keeping on with Mario, the reveal for the Rabbids/Mario crossover, released in September.
3. Zelda DLC revealed, out late summer.
4. Arms trailer introducing new characters and modes.
5. Pikmin 4 reveal, teasing a new Pikmin type. Not much shown, but given a 2018 release.
6. Indy highlight real. Also a small reminder of Pikmin 3DS.
7. Next up, Splatoon 2, outlining more multiplayer details and finishing with a story trailer.
8. Next, Xenoblade 2, keeping its 2017 release date, released in December.
9. Fire Emblem Switch reveal, to be released in early 2018.
10. Pokemon Stars reveal, out early 2018.
11. Smash port is real, out October 2017.
12. Third party highlight real (Skyrim, along with another suprise big game).
13. One more thing... Retro's game, first person Metroid, though not called Prime, out 2018.
Or 3D Donkey Kong. Or 2D Metroid. Or Eternal Darkness. Or new IP. I really have no fucking idea whatsoever.

At this point I would prefer Pokemon Stars (if real) to be the last Hoorah for 3DS and keep Pokemon off Switch until Pokemon Company develops the big, multi-region, built from the ground up, bells and whistles Pokemon game we have all wanted for years
I think Mario Kart DLC is more possible now given the sales it's got so far. Get part of the team working on new DLC whilst the rest of the team can get to work on something else.
I wouldn't count on this because of the fact that the Mario Kart team is working on ARMS and I believe MK8D was done for a while before it launched (pretty sure I saw a comment from the January event that supported this). That said, anything is possible, and DLC would be nice.
Which DLC are you talking about? I ask because the summer DLC has already been pretty much revealed (just without a release date) and the second DLC pack is supposed to release this holiday season.
Less than a month to go now. Couple of weeks till we start getting fake leaks, 3 weeks till real leaks. Nintendo ninjas are ready, 4chan are ready with their printed totally real lists of the show order. I'm ready for Mother 4 : 4ther and Metroid Dread and Pikmin 4 and Rabbids Kingdom and Beyond Good and Evil 2 and some random badass couch coop game.
People's predictions are fairly tame in this thread. I guess it makes sense based on expectations. I have no idea what they're going to announce or show, but I have a feeling there will be one huge third party reveal that we didn't see coming. No idea what that could be, but that's just a gut feeling I have right now. I just want to see more RPGs get announced, honestly. If they can do that, then I'll be happy with their showcase.
- virtual console, maybe with gamecube games even
- online pland reveal, app functionality and other stuff
- ARMS
- Splatoon 2
- Mario Oddesey
- Xenoblade 2
- Mario + Rabbids
- Pokemon Stars
- Skyrim
- Fire Emblem Warriors
- Zelda dlc
Thats a lot to talk about already. They will absolutely have a massive E3
Im hoping for other surprises and reveals.
- new Fire Emblem
- Smash port
- FIFA, other sports games
- Hoping for.a Wii Sports revival, especially tabletennis would be a nice fit
- some nice third party surprises and an AAA game announcent or two
- lots of Japanese support.
- lots of indies

Yeah, I've got a hunch as well. Not enough to predict anything, though. Would be nice to have a Nintendo conference that isn't 100% third party and/or partnerships this year, seeing Square Enix, ATLUS or FROM's logo come up would be amazing.
Which DLC are you talking about? I ask because the summer DLC has already been pretty much revealed (just without a release date) and the second DLC pack is supposed to release this holiday season.
Oh, it seems like there might have been some slight miscommunication. Neither have a firm release date. Both have a release season (summer and holiday for Pack 1 and 2, respectively), and the first pack has likely been fully detailed. I do think there's a good chance we'll get the release date for the first DLC at E3, which is perhaps what you meant in the first place.

Because frankly Nintendo in 2017 is stacked and with big games to boot, its hard to have reach for the sky predicrions when we know a ton of good games like a console fire wmblemnis coming and then theres the eurogamer leaks, how can you get bigger than console pokemon
2) let fans build hype. Fantasising about Prime 4, GTA on Switch and Nintendo releasing Switch 2 with Scorpio specs
3) reveal a mediocre set of titles and content as if it was the second coming
This is how I feel Nintendo works now. They don't really have much to offer except their staples and the odd new thing like splatoon. They can't really get any hype from third parties or value offerings (they need every cent they can get). So they will market the shit outta what they have and hope it sticks, which anecdotally it seems to be doing with Switch so I expect it to continue.
I tried to break this down to make it simpler by the likelihood something is talked about at the Nintendo Spotlight. I'll keep it to Switch games only.
Very likely, BUT doesn't need E3 (can be announced at a Nintendo Direct)
-Smash port (Nintendo may be afraid it overshadows ARMS)
-VC (this could be E3 or any Nintendo Direct in the fall)
-Mother 3 (this comes with VC)
-Fire Emblem for Switch (depends on when it's supposed to release + FE Warriors will be in the Spotlight already)
-Pikmin 4 (this comes down to when its releasing. If this year then it will be at E3) -Switch online (again this can be saved for a future Nintendo Direct, but the beta could be talked about since it will probably coincide with Splatoon 2's launch)
That's an interesting hot take. Paid online is a very big step for Nintendo. I have a hard time seeing them not disclosing it at E3 but the success of Treehouse indicates they will focus only on games.
I will bet they will talk directly about the online service at E3 and during the spotlight for a few minutes and then bring it up a few seconds with each game that has an online feature that expands on what that service allows.

I agree. I do think we'll see something from FROM, but it may not be what everyone wants. Though, I'm not sure what they could do that would really disappoint folks. My main bet is that Square Enix will be on the NS in a big way.
The Chrono Trigger director is making a game for the Switch. Sadly, I don't think we'll see it yet. It would be great if it's Chrono Break, but it didn't seem like he started the development.

A table-tennis or badminton or tennis game would be wonderful. Wii Sports Resort had a great table-tennis game. If they added more personality to it, it would be great. As far as tennis goes I still believe Sega should release Virtua Tennis. Even without the licensed players or tournaments. A 20 game would be enough.

That's more or less what I'm expecting. Just not sure about Pikmin, Smash and Metroid, of course.
But I see more third party than that, like Octopath Traveler and other titles we don't know yet.
FE musou is missing (and there might be some more I'm forgetting right now).
I think Nintendo is due for a big announcement as they have been busy working on the Switch for quite some time now. Their steady stream of games is currently underway.
Due to the apparent success of the Switch thus far I am excited to see if any 3rd party developers jump on board this time or will they continue to ignore it.
I think its because he use to be a genuine positive person for Nintendo until the Wii U came out, iirc I kinda remember him saying he was a shareholder for Nintendo around that time so maybe he is salty from that, course if he is still a shareholder he wouldn't be salty right now

30 minutes before we find out the Special will last 60minutes.
1. Super Mario Odyssey presented, same trailer as the January presentation. Mini interview with Miyamoto talking about how he was influenced in designing open World Mario games, how this game expands on the history of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. (9 min)
2. ARMS preview, 2 new charcters, reminder of invitational. The annoying voice of the ARMS announcer tells us all of this. (5mins)
3. Splatoon 2 trailer, reminder of Splatoon Tournament, details of single player. (6 mins)
4. Online Service revealed. $40 a year, one "free for a month" modded game a month (online multiplayer, online leaderboards, etc.), voice chat through the app. My Nintendo coupons will add 10% off what ever coupon you redeem (7mins)
5. Virtual Console unveiled. NES, SNES, N64, and all portables from GB to DS. If you bought these on Wii U, you get a discount. GC, Wii and 3DS also announced, but need to subscribe to online service to be able to purchase those. Turbografix 16 and Sega Systems also announced with details later. (6mins)
"Yoshi, Ballon Fight and Urban Champion available now!"
6. Xenoblade 2 trailer, dated 2017. (2 mins)
7. 3rd parties: mishmash of 3rd parties and indies, sizzle reel with dates for Big indies. Sizzle reel that includes FIFA, NBA 2K, Skyrim, and Sonic. (5min)
8. Rabbits and Mario with Ubisoft head talking how this is the best fit with Nintendo and that they have high hopes for the game. (4 mins)
9. Don't for get 3DS in 2017. Sizzle reel. (5mins)
10. Pokémon Stars trailer. October 2017. 3DS. More details soon (5mins)
11. Retro Studios announces Donkey Kong Country Returns 3. Amiibo announced made of plush. 4 minute sort of interview with creator of plushy amiibo. (6 mins)
Reggie waves goodbye. Tells us about Treehouse and social media accounts(30 seconds)
Mother 3 is pie in the sky. You should all just forget about it so you won't be disappointed again.
I will also be completely shocked (in a good way) if we actually see any of the other Eurogamer/Laura leaks* (Gamecube VC, Smash 4 port, Pokemon Stars).
*They weren't the first ones to leak Mario/Yoshi x Rabbids. It's to them what Paper Mario was to Emily.
didn't retro ask to work on donkey kong? I remember miyamoto saying they wanted to, but I am not sure if that was related to the sequel or the first game
in any case, they basically asked to do something else than metroid, which means, they do NOT want to work on metroid!
not sure what part of that fact is so hard to understand for fans.

I don't think so either but they should. All that info is neccesary but boring af. They would be way better off doing a 20 min direct with that stuff instead of boring people in their spotlight.
I haven't played a game they've made since Metroid Prime 3. It would be nice if they'd make something that I'd be interested in playing. If they end up doing Donkey Kong, then that would just be another one of their games I'll be skipping. I bet there would be lots of unhappy folks if they announced they were doing Donkey Kong again.

Ohhh so he probably sold his shares and now is salty af that Nintendo is actually doing well, even feeling the need to change his joke of an avatar into something even worse.
