I want to explore those aircraft carrier remains from the trailer.
The amount of raids is not the entire game. If the rest of the game has more to do then 1 raid will be fine.
Context.
Only if it has 360 no scopes in the title.Anyone looking for a member for their clan?
Okay, thanks. In the stream they said something about having two of the same weapon in the kinetic and elemental slots. So, two of the exact same gun, but one has elemental damage and one doesn't? And what are the new weapon types? The leak mentioned SMGs and there were definitely some SMG looking weapons in the stream, any confirmation though? The grenade launcher looked pretty dope.Just like the leak said:
1 kinetic primary
1 elemental primary (which apparently that rotating barrel gun was, that's not a machine gun)
1 power weapon (all snipers, shottys, grenade launchers rocket etc.)
Nope, I'll pass until it's bellow $30 with all DLC.
Bingo. It looks like Destiny, but MORE of it.
There will be more than 1 strike when the game launches. 1 raid thing I can agree with. Hoping they have atleast 2 planned for the base game with a staggered launch for them.
I'm not saying it like this to imply shouting or to be a dick, but people keep getting this impression and it's completely false. There is not only one strike in the entire game, there is one strike playable at the event today.
If the rest of the content shows the same amount of unique and creative flair that I'm talking about then yes 1 raid is fine. But that's an assumption we would both have to make, that the rest of the content is more than enough to hold people over until the next raid comes out. If instead it's 1 raid and the new environments get stuck with the same activities you do in Destiny now and no variance, then I'd have to agree that's pretty disappointing.
Honestly though if they had said "Two Raids at Launch" along with everything else I probably wouldn't be having this discussion.

It seems a lot of people expected something that to put it simply just isn't Destiny. This game sold more than 20M copies on console, has a huge and devoted fanbase. If you played the game, there's simply no way to point at things like the new treasures, undiscovered sites, caves, sidequest missions, the campaign presentation, character involvement, class rehash, new weapon types, new planets, clans integration, PvP changes, etc and be like...."yeah, whatever."
You either didn't spend much time on Destiny or your interest in the genre itself is very small. Nothing is perfect and this certainly won't be but the changes are looking great. It feels like the vision they had in the first place.

Those aren't new classes, they are new subclasses. It remains to be seen if they are in adition to existing ones or replacing one of the elements of each.

Functionally what's the difference?
That was a rocket launcher, no?There was also a heavy weapon that I'm going to call the Boomshot. It looks like a large shoulder mounted canon.
It seems like a great game for people who where happy with Destiny 1 but they are not doing anything to win me back over.
Sounds like it will have content issues again.
I wonder if the PC version will have controller support. Does OW have it? I know D3 doesn't. I'll be pissed if I can't use my Elite Controller.

There are two shaded squares next to the Class icon. So two subclasses confirmed?

They literally told us there is more to do. Literally told us there is more density to the areas we explore.
They literally said this.
So while we are both assuming indeed, the assumption this game will /not/ be content starved and that 1 raid will be fine is a lot safer.
I was hoping for more locations too. 4 still feels like it could feel limited in terms of having different places.
I hated the vanilla Destiny 1 zones(and vanilla game in general), but I'm still somewhat optimistic. It sounds like they are really focusing on making these D2 zones full of things to do. And they showed that can do that in a good way with TTK. The Dreadnaught in TTK was just one zone, and they really deserve credit for how much there was to do and find in that one zone. If all 4 D2 zones have as much or even more stuff, then content will not be an issue at all.

4 main locations doesn't tell us anything about how many sub-locations there are, nor the density of these areas in terms of actual stuff to do.
They could have said 20 planets to explore and it could all be barren and boring, for example.
If there was 1 planet it would be fine if that 1 planet had enough to do.

Good catch. I hope they're good, cause right now none of the options interest me much.
yup, there is no other , D1 was a beast and it didn't have the PC platform
Btw Activision should work with their "best partner" to get Sony to make LFG for their console just like Xbox. This guided stuff isnt really gonna work imo.
Destiny was a disappointment in everyway for me and Bungie are not the same innovative developer they were when developing the Halo games. I wonder what content will be cut out to sell for DLC this time around?Good luck with buying the game, when everyone's moved to Destiny 3 then.
GTFO with comments like this.
Is there are grimoire card for it?People that say this don't understand destiny DLC

Shotties and Snipers as Heavy is the best thing. Fucking cancer in PVP.

LOL, it won't flop.I can understand hype but this naivety is ridiculous. Destiny was a beast? Come on. It was average towards okay and underwhelming. Destiny 2 seems like a slight improvement and thats it. Biggest flop of the year is what I'm guessing it will be.

Yeah lets go off of what they literally said in terms of Destiny 2, and find out that the sequel is just getting a lot of those literal things they said now; some were still watiing for.
Why wouldn't it work? It literally matchmakes you with groups of people.
