I'm curious to see how they market the Scorpio. Sony took the distant approach to not offend their audience. I have a feeling we'll be seeing every title on Scorpio, which may or may not anger some of the Xbox audience.

Sony was way too timid marketing the Pro. If people get angry so what? That is the march of tech.

Also MS is not in the position of Sony of being this gen sales leader, so I'm expecting a very very aggressive marketing campaign. With the power differences made very clear. I think by the time Scorpio releases most people outside of our small gaming bubble will know what it is.

I want to see Scorpio's release date moved ahead of people's expectations. It would really suck potentially not being able to play RDR 2, Destiny 2, etc. on Scorpio when they launch.

I'm really hoping for mid September. Phil Spencer had said they are ahead of schedule meaning that kinda date immediately puts the cats among the pigeons for all these third party games and leads into MS's own first party stuff.

Despite Sony having some big marketing deals this year, I don't think it will stop MS from marketing the hell out of Scorpio. Sony's marketing push might actually help MS if MS position the console, the price and the games correctly.

Yeah, it would only be two months earlier. I hope they do. Even if they pull a Xbox One S and release the more expensive model first.

Do we think Scorpio is gonna be multiple skus? If it's just one, you guys think it'll be 2tb hdd or more/less. Idc about hdd size really since I have an external. Lol

I'm far more interested in the Scorpio pricing announcement than anything else. Price it right (low), and MS has a potential hit on their hands. Price it wrong (high), and it could be the tipping point to disaster for the Xbox brand.

Anything above $400, barring some sort of ultra compelling bundle, is tempting fate. Well, $450 might be okay for the early adopter crowd. Anything below $399, even if they have to leave out the controller, could shake things up considerably.

It doesn't seem like 50 bucks, in one direction or another, should be able to make that much of a difference, but I suspect it could.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that lol. If they do bundles with games, I hope they keep the tradition of making it a digital code. I'm sure they will tho.
Gamestop bundles = physical disks
All other bundles = digital code

Business as usual.

Yeah no way they will do another rts spin off.
Either a new age of empires, or none at all

Dumb question time... with Scorpios automatic super sampling of 4k content to 1080p, will this apply to 4k blu-ray, and should I care?

Please point me to where we know this from... Halo wars also sold not great... They much have known what it would sell coming from that game

every Microsoft first party / exclusive bombed except Forza Horizon 3 maybe
didn't you get the memo?
problem with this notion is always, that Microsoft and GAF have a very different definition of bomb and success

Are you sure about that? We're talking about MS right? MS is the publisher out of the main three that puts the biggest emphasis on big sales...

I guess I should get hyped for a Sunset Overdrive 2 this E3 because it must've been a success since GAFs definition is clearly wrong.

I want them to open with a new Splinter Cell game.
That shit would be incredible, the room darkens, iconic goggles sound powers on, then Fisher goes on and does some badass shit.

Fixed.

Playing through Halo 5 again, this game really had some moments of almost sticking the landing but brought down by something stupid like the Warden fights. I hope Microsoft has learned from mistakes and successes of both Halo 5 and Gears 4 to solidify some of their newer projects.

I would faint if Splinter Cell is shown at E3.

It's seems about the right time for a true next gen Splinter Cell game.

It was always really dumb of Ubisoft to not have ported Blacklist to current gen consoles.

God that game was so good and its MP community died out too fast.

Either open with Scorpio announcement or open with the most technically impressive game they have and then have Phil come out and say "that game was running at native 4k on the Scorpio"

They open with 60 minutes of Sea of Thieves, show a five minute video detailing Scorpio price, date and a whole bunch of new games before ending with twenty minutes of Sea of Thieves.

You sure they would've anything new to show about see of thieves? The alpha right now is not much more than waht was shown at e3 2016.

I think everyone watching would go wild!!... But not in a good way :p.

New Splinter Cell could be pretty sick now. Unfortunately I think MS has a higher chance of showing Assassins Creed than anything else. But I'm hoping Ubisoft keeps it for themselves cuz that's just wasted time for Microsoft, imo.

Tbh, I have a feeling that Assassin's Creed at 4k will probably be the most technically impressive game MS can show.

The first reveal trailer will look cgi but then at the end itll say .... captured realtime in engine gameplay running on xbox scorpio. Then well see the official animation of xbox scorpio which will segway into the full reveal of xbox scorpio with a developer video and phil coming in stage yelling - Byyaaahhhhh!!! You like dem apples? Well let me bring you some oranges. Then yells " roll the tape jarold!"

Lololoolololol... id be down for this though

MS will have Assassin's Creed, Shadow of War and one more unannounced AAA third party title.

Hmm. You could be right. Unity had some dam good lighting. I think Forza 7 is gonna look pretty fucking amazing tho. You know they're gonna make that 4k 60fps just so they can tout they have a game that can do that. I guess we'll see. I'm just not that hyped for AC games anymore sadly :/. Maybe this one will change my mind after I see gameplay tho.

Ugh.. If it's a surprise 3rd party, then go for it. But 2, or even 3, games can take up a lot of time. I think you're right tho, now that I think about it and how past E3s have gone. I'm just hoping MS has some really good surprises in store. Gimme OG Xbox Backwards Compatibility and you can line the rest of the show with 3rd party for all I care, lol.

I'm looking to buy a new monitor and heard Scorpio was going to be Freesync 2 enabled. Problem is there are currently no hdmi 2.1 freesync 2 monitors on the market. Rumors are that these monitors might make it to market during the 2nd half of the year. Hopfully MS addresses this with the scorpio specs.

I don't see any major marketing deal for MS this other than Assassin Creed. Red Dead 2, Destiny 2 COD WWII and Battlefront 2 are with Sony. Now, even though it's still early to show a lot of footage of this game, I could see Cyber Punk being the title that Shinobi and you are referring to.

Just for a hint, is the title you referring to coming out this year or next?

It'll be a major unannounced third party game for sure.
