-Cuphead, Tacoma, gears 4 MP dlc, and Recore definitive all shown/get dates at the daily shows.

- Wildcard segment. Somebody from SE comes and says KH remasters and FF remasters both coming to Xbox

So that puts new announcements at 4(Forza 7, Ori, KI s4, and new unknown game)
A very boring but unfortunately realistic looking card. We need a couple of curveballs..Fable IV, Conker, Perfect Dark etc.

How has it taken Below this long to launch? Or Cuphead?

Cuphead I fucking get. It's old school animation AND they went from a boss rush game to a full on side scroller with bosses. Below though? That looked like a pretty simple design, with simple art, near finished years ago. I have no idea what is taking so long here.

Below will be available on June 11th.

Maybe even cuphead to have that "available now" factor in it!

I think we may hear "Available Today/now!" Alot. ;)
MDHR said Cuphead was "mid 2017"rlease earlier this year, so I think it's probably the most likely candidate for an available now/very soon game at the conference.

Hoping for release dates for Cuphead, Below, Ashen, and Tacoma at E3 though.

I'm just not feeling any hype towards this conference.

Might be surprised, seems like a lot of momentum going on with MS right now after Build 2017 (I know different things). I'm not expecting megaton after megaton of announcements from them, but I do believe they have some things that will surprise some folks.

Either way, excited for scorpio and watching the stream in 4K on my monitor to see what it's all about. Thinking CD3 and State of Decay 2 will be really good. We'll see.

Assuming the show is 1hr 30min, here are my long predictions. Tried to keep it fairly safe but throw some surprises in there too.

1. Scorpio opens, small vidoc trailer with developers talking about the power etc. Finally get a look at the system at the end of the trailer.

2. Phil Spencer walks out and talks about how Scorpio is the best place to play third-party games, native 4k focus etc. Doesn't reveal price, but does mention a number of first party games getting specific Scorpio treatment (4k upgrades), follows with a small sizzle reel of those games (FH3, ReCore, Gears 4, Halo 5 etc)

3. After the sizzle reel is finished, we get a Crackdown 3 story trailer with David Jones walking out afterwards. Talks about how they've implemented CD3's campaign without the destruction. Then we get a 5-10 min gameplay demo of CD3's Multiplayer, fully showcasing the destruction, the gang orientated missions, the weapons, the cars, & the customization (which will be added post-launch for free like GTA 5). He then announces a MP beta available now (playable for a week) and that CD3 launches November this year.

4. That brings us to the first 3rd party trailer for the conference, Middle of Earth; SOW. I think they'll try sprinkle the 3rd party stuff out in-between the first-party & other announcements.

5. Following this we have a new trailer for Sea of Thieves. Showcases more populated islands (with actual townships/shops etc), the Kraken, different weapons, ship customization etc. After the trailer, Rare studio head (Craig Duncan isn't it?) walks out. Talks about the feedback from the technical alphas, increased engagement from core alpha players, better gameplay loop etc. Announces that SOT will launch in early access (game preview) in early October. Full launch in 2018.

6. Now it's indie time. We get Chris Charla out from ID@Xbox. We get an extended gameplay look at Cuphead (5 mins) which he announces will launch in July. Also announces Below is on track for 2017 launch, Tacoma will launch in June, Ashen will launch in July and that PUBG is available later in June through gamepass. Walks off to a sizzle reel of indie titles coming to the platform in the future.

7. Following that we get the Mojang people out for about 5mins to showcase Minecraft Realms gameplay, also talk about the Win 10 version of Minecraft coming to Xbox.

8. It's 3rd party time again. This time it's AC Origins. A full gameplay trailer, followed by a scorpio bundle announce. The game will run native 4k/30fps on scorpio. Looks insanely good.

9. Then we get an all-new trailer for State of Decay 2, again followed by Undead Labs Studio Head coming out and showing off a gameplay demo with 3 others on stage (much like Forza Horizon 3 did last year). Showcases the bigger worlds of SOD2, 4 player co-op, survival & decision making aspects of the game. Coming mid-late August 2017.

10. Yay. More 3rd parties. This time it's the Madden 18 + Fifa 18 combo. B2B trailers.
(though not sure about Fifa anymore, supposedly Xbox has lost that deal, not that I really care). Both will get 4k scorpio versions.

11. Then we get a ReCore Definitive Edition announce trailer. Includes T8NK expansion, 4K support for Scorpio, big content update. Launches in early August.

12. Borderlands 3 is announced. Trailer showcasing typical BL humour, of course the guns, crazy vehicles etc. Quick look at a battle-royale style mode (like PUBG) that is timed-exclusive to Xbox (like COD DLC is for PS4). Coming 2018.

13. Shannon Loftis now walks out on to the stage. Talks first party issues; pledges to invest more in first-party. Says the next 20 minutes is full of cool announces

14. Then Bonnie Ross from 343 walks out. Talks about MCC feedback. Announces MCC is being 'relaunched'. New UI, MP completely reworked. New leveling system with cosmetic items in packs for all the games (like Halo 5). A few special skins as compensation for those who played a lot of MCC. Coming November 2017. HW2 expansion will be announced on the daily show (not a stage announce) MCC will be bundled with all Scorpios; talks about a potential PC Port are also present.

15. Straight after Halo we get a KI: Season 4 teaser. We got General RAAM as a playable character last E3 (or was 2015? I can't remember), no idea who it'll be this time. 2018 title

16. Then we get Thomas Mahler from Moon Studios out on the stage. He announces there next project, Ori 2. It's now a 3d platformer, will be a 2018 game. XPA title too.

17. Forza time. We get a Forza 7 announce trailer, coming lateish September 2017. Game looks insane, fully dynamic TOD/Weather, has a more race-driver esque career mode, 700+ cars, 35 tracks with Fujimi Kaido etc. Dan Greenawalt comes out and talks about the success of Forza this gen, building the racing community and how e-sports is gonna be a major feature of 7. Then announces a new FH3 car pack available now, focuses on cars from famous auto-motive people.

18. We get a tease of an unannounced 2018 project. Not sure what it is, could be from Capcom Vancouver, Studio Gobo, maybe a Japanese dev as a result of the Japan trip. Idk.

19. Phil Spencer returns to close the show. He talks about the vision for Scorpio, wanting it to appeal to gamers, more like the OG Xbox did. He then announces the O.G Xbox Classics program. Looks at bringing back a number of O.G Xbox titles back, some with up-res, some with just straight ports. All will have live support, MP, achievements etc like Phantom Dust. Developed by 3rd party studios like Code Mystics, maybe Sumo Digital etc. I think they'll have one of them available now (maybe Crimson Skies?) and they'll tease a bunch of titles for 2017/18. Midtown Madness 3, Otogi 1/2, Brute Force, PGR 2, maybe even 3rd party stuff like GTA SA/Vice City (like the PS4 has)

20. Then Spencer closes the show with Scorpio price = $399 and release date = Early September.

So that leaves the 2017 lineup with;

June: CD3 Beta, Tacoma, PUBG (game preview), OG Xbox Classic Program game, FH3 Car Pack, HW2 Expansion.
July: Cuphead, Ashen
August: Recore Definitive Edition (Early August), State of Decay 2 (Late August), O.G Xbox Classic Game
September: Scorpio (Early September, ready for Destiny 2, AC Origins, FM7 etc), Forza Motorsport 7 (Late September)
October: Sea of Thieves Early Access (early October), Crackdown 3 (Late October)
November: MCC Re-Launch, 2 O.G Xbox Classics Games.

Also here's a dream announce that'll never happen but ayy why not include it

- Then Dan G calls Rare Studio head to the stage. He talks about rare's 2nd project, which will come in 2018 and they're ready to tease. It's Xbox All-Stars Racing with Turn 10 on the handling model, rare on the art assets & production. Features 15 tracks (all xbox themed, like Albion from Fable etc) 16 different characters, (with more coming for free) 4 player local co-op, 16 player online racing & heaps of character/car customization that is unlocked through packs (like H5 reqs).

Has Tomas Mahler actually hint towards a new game at E3 at all? I heard heb hinted to it, but did he really?

I do recall him saying they won't make a 3D platformer though. Think this was in the a Yooka Laylee thread.

I think a MCC relaunch is a bit of a longshot. Maybe a PC release. I think there will be more unannounced games compared to what we know of already. Those predictions are a little safe and won't quite convince me of a Scorpio purchase.

I like this list.
Haha bullet point 14 by itself would please me, but I dont think it will ever happen, sadly. But yeah really good list.

This too, but I'm on board with scorpio already.

I'm in on Scorpio day 1 but if they have a new Phantom Dust or Crimson Skies I'm running around fistpumping for 5 mins and high fiving strangers.

If Turn 10 and Playground Games call Rare Studio head to the stage, that would be MEGA!!!!!

Yeah it's definitely a long shot. Probably the least likely thing on my list. But I still believe they'll do it. If not this year, maybe later down the road.

Has Tomas Mahler actually hint towards a new game at E3 at all? I heard heb hinted to it, but did he really?

I do recall him saying they won't make a 3D platformer though. Think this was in the a Yooka Laylee thread.

Well I had no idea he had said they'd never make a 3d platformer. Thought it made the most logical sense but either way I'm excited to see what Moon Studios is cooking up, Ori is one of my favourite games this gen and I never ever play platformers.

I'm psyched it's at 2pm. I will definitely not sleep through half of it ;)

This is going to be very important for MS, more so than years previous. If they just make it all about the Scorpio, cool as it looks, it won't be pretty. For my reasonable demand, I want OG Xbox b/c, and for my ridiculous one, a reannounced Scalebound with a new developer.

With Sony's less than trying approach after Mattrick's launch fumble, people finally seem ready to give MS another chance. I hope they don't blow it (despite that getting us some wonderful treatment as a result).

I'm so glad I don't have to wake up at 5am to watch Microsoft's conference!!

My guess for Scorpio is $500, early November and named Xbox One Ultra or X

Also hoping State of Decay 2 shows some solo content.

1. One of Rare's beloved franchises makes a return with a different dev. Banjo or Perfect Dark

2. Remake of Halo 3

3. Announcement of Half Life license/trademark purchase developed by new in-house team with many of its original talent on board

Only way to beat Sony's unbelievable trio but 2 out of the 3 will be enough for me :p

my guess on the show

Scorpio (showing the actual unit, and following games showcased on scorpio)
Forza (will be a "launch" software for scorpio as will crackdown)
new playground games IP teased (not racing)
Halo wars 2 Expansion (cgi cutscene)
Halo 5 (split screen now available on scorpio, 4k 60fps, multiplayer expansion)
Assassins Creed
Killer instinct
Sea of theives
Crack down 3
Shadow of war
minecraft
Indie mega section (ashen/below/cuphead pushed in this)
Ori 2
State of Decay 2
un announced AAA exclusive
Scorpio (show ending announces 399$ price point and release date)
Demo reel of games in 4k going by fast
Unannounced AAA first party game

------------
I do not expect to see gears or the coalition on stage, gears in 4k will be in a demo reel.

oh, i keep forgetting. wasn't it rumored that there is a third forza franchise game being worked on?

I think it was in one of the old Forza threads that someone mentioned that they had heard a third Forza series was in the work, but he said it was coming out this year which makes it unlikely because it's most likely Forza 7 is releasing this year. I don't know if he was a verified insider or if he had a track record but I wouldn't believe it until we know if he is a verified insider or he can show proof. I would love a third franchise, that way we would have sim, open world and Kart/rally/arcade every three years giving each team more time to work on each game and it allows for a longer tail on their games as a service model.

I do wonder if we see gobos game. Whether it be the mixed reality mmo game, Fable legends or something new

Unless their game is going to have a total 2 year development cycle then it's to early to show it, I bet we would see it next year. Maybe at a secondary late in the year event this year if MS has one. Gobo could only have been working on the project for a year to a year and a half max.

But they did say in their tweet that they couldn't wait to start showing on telling more about it soon. But in this biz soon can mean a lot of things. Would be nice to at least know if it's a game for controller or mixed reality. Which I hope it isn't.

My predictions:

Open with Scorpio design and montage of existing games now in 4k on Scorpio. Rundown of features that make it better the PS4 in montage (native 4k, most powerful, 4k bluray, etc)

Crackdown 3 gameplay demo and release date.

Spencer comes out wearing moon studios shirt and talks about their vision. Shows off new xbox interface.

Halo 5 and MCC and W2 getting 4k upgrades on Scorpio. W2 gets DLC, MCC gets Halo 3 Anniversary upgrade

Sea of Thieves demo. Open beta now, full release in november or beta later this year and full release in summer 2018

Forza 7 demo

Shadow of War demo

State of Decay 2 demo

Assassin's Creed Origins demo

Ori 2 reveal with release window

ID @ Xbox segment that ends with Cuphead available NOW

New third party game reveal

Dylan demo running on Scorpio

Phil Spencer comes back on stage wearing a Rare shirt. Scorpio is 399, comes in November. One more thing: Trailer for a new Rare IP that is very early in development.

Got a source for that concept? Would love to read. Sounds crazily fantastic.

Question: Once the credits rolled on Gears Of War 3, had it ended and progressed as you always planned? How much changed as you developed the two sequels?

Bleszinski: The end did, in fact, turn out as I had hoped, with one big exception. I actually wanted to have the third game originally focus on the space race. Marcus and what was left of humanity were to find a way off of Sera before the entire thing exploded from imulsion affliction, later possibly finding another planet where they could restart. Then we saw ‘2012' and realised that idea, done poorly, would really box us in and be kind of dumb.

https://www.nowgamer.com/gamers-are-tired-of-the-current-gen-remember-me-dev/
Based on an article published on GamesTM magazine.

Turns out I misunderstood/misremembered what he meant with a "focus on the space race", but I believe they would eventually be in space, so there it is. Also, not for Gears4 but for Gears3 lol.

Given my inability to use it without feeling sick, I am on the side of not wanting it there at all. But yes, it will likely get stage time.

My only questions is what VR experience will sell me on it, I will likely buy it anyways because, enthusiast and whatnot, but I wonder what will really really make me GOTTA HAVE IT

I expect Minecraft, RE7, maybe the Batman thing, XWing, basically stuff that already exists to possibly be ported, maybe that job simulator, who knows.

But as far as a, from Microsoft, first party exclusive, premium VR experience, I have no idea what they could even cook up (which is kinda exciting)

Ooh predictions

1.Scorpio opener w/ $399 tag- October
2.Forza 7- September
3. Crackdown 3- late October
4. State of Decay- Late September
5. Sea of Thieves- Game preview this holiday. Weeklong Open beta now
6. Assassins creed mission
7. Shadow of war sizzle reel. Bundle announced
8. Minecraft windows 10 edition console coming out this fall. Play anywhere. Also realms
9. Ori 2- February 2018
10. We Happy Few trailer. Full game release Spring 18. Exclusive
11. ID@xbox segment
12. Playerunknowns Battlegrounds coming this fall to preview
13. Ashen gets full demo. Much bigger scope.
14. Halo video. HW2 dlc. Halo 3 DLC in 5
15. KI season 4 short video
16. VR segment/ maybe games
17. 1 new unknown game teased to end the show. 2018

-Cuphead, Tacoma, gears 4 MP dlc, and Recore definitive all shown/get dates at the daily shows.

- Wildcard segment. Somebody from SE comes and says KH remasters and FF remasters both coming to Xbox

So that puts new announcements at 4(Forza 7, Ori, KI s4, and new unknown game)

yeah i hope the game will be game preview first.
i don't see it finished and content heavy enough for a 2017 launch

great idea

I would love a MCC relaunch as mentioned a few posts above.

I would actually be a little pissed if they took time to even talk about MCC during the conference. "Hey guys, remember that broken game we hyped up and shipped anyway? Guess what? We're hyping it again!"

Just fix the damn thing.

A very boring but unfortunately realistic looking card. We need a couple of curveballs..Fable IV, Conker, Perfect Dark etc.

A rare made Fable 4 with legends asset would be awesome, a play anywhere Age of empires 4 from Creative assembly Halo wars 2 team something that should happen.

I really don't see them mentioning anything about MCC tbh. Like that time is dead. I don't think they even think about it. They have halo 5 and the next halo game to think about

I just want to see something new that gets halo/gears level resource support.
I think that will be Crackdown. If the MP has any chance at staying alive it has to have monthly updates.

That's not "new" but it's the best candidate. There are some interesting places that undead labs could take SoD with ongoing content. A deathmatch or BR type mode etc. but I don't think it's going to be as heavy as Crackdown
