Well, it's not like focusing energy into a specific point of your back all 'tingly-like' is something anyone would randomly do on purpose, perhaps rage just directs the energy there.
Also they keep making a point about how cauli seems to be insanely gifted, it's probably not something any random saiyan can do succesfully that quick or without having the rage transformation first.

She seems to go SSJ2 in NEP.

Oh boy.. just saw the hair... hyped!

That preview almost made the frieza thing cool.
almost

Cauli looks great imo

Dunno if this has been discussed, but look at her hair. is it a hair cut or SSJ2 in the preview?

Hair cut makes the most sense but dunno why that'd make her front bangs completely different like SSJ2 style.

but SSJ2 seems random so I'll go with hair cut.

Except this kind of stuff happens all the time in real life. When it comes to experimenting with science, the discovery of fire, finding a glitch in a video game. If we're talking one person than it would be valid. But over the whole span of time the U6 Saiyans existed, them being a warrior race, all of the amounts of training and experimenting/playing with their power over the how ever many of them exist in their universe, not one person came across this power achieved by simply focusing energy in your back. They didn't even try to make it seem like it was a hard to achieve ability.

How many years have they been at a power level where they COULD do it is the question?

Over the whole course of human history we're still discovering new parts of the human body. And I'm not talking about genetic discoveries. In 2013 we identified a new knee ligament for the first time in the entire course of human history.

This year, this year we discovered a new organ.

Caulifa focused her energy with a specific goal in mind. She knew what she was aiming for because she'd already seen someone do it. So she kept going until she got the result she wanted. And she's a prodigy to boot.

I do hope that's SS2, it really looks good on her.

Also, U3 is the best team that's actually competing. They're customizing their team for exactly what this tourney's about instead of pursuing raw power.

And we actually caught small glimpses of their fighters, unlike U10 where everyone's pretty much a locked character.

I simply don't agree. I can go on more about why, but it simply boils down to how comically simple they made it seem to achieve it, and how I think that it should have realistically been easily discovered already by their race.

I'd rather not keep going back-in-forth about this now though since I don't think it's a big deal anyway.

yo i have high hopes for those super saiyan chicks

I do, but at the same time, I don't really want them on the level of Goku, Vegeta, or Gohan. It'd just feel weird.

And if Kale is on that level, i'd hope there were some kind of drawbacks to her LSSJ power. The main guys have been at it too long to get caught you'd feel.

But it's dbz so eh. I'm down

wasn't there something in the rules about like... not being able to use tools, or something like that.
I'm wondering if they showed what they did in tonight's episode to set up the Great Priest being like "nah, you cheated"

What are you basing this on exactly? Why would anyone randomly focus energy in a specific point on their back in a very specific way?
Heck it took cauli 20 seconds of hard, specific focus, to find it. And she's supposed to be a gifted one.

They also established Caulifla as having great potential, she's probably like Goku where she can pick things up really quickly.

...Cauli about to learn kaio-ken by watching goku do it.

Would suck for them since that just seems to be how that universe operates.

Also, the Grand Priest does specifically say weapons, not tools in general.

Right?

Don't care what anyone says. Frieza ending up the 10th warrior is the most hype shit ever. There's so much potential for where it can go. The fact it's his fourth time coming back really means nothing. He only came back as a main villain once. The other time he was pretty much a setup for Super Saiyan Trunks to quickly dispatch leading into the Android Saga. Every single situation was different in its own way.

Frieza, evil or not, this time around is being given a character spotlight he hasn't occupied since perhaps the original Namek Saga. As of now he's officially a character apart of the main group of Z fighters, which in itself could lead to some very interesting things. Who knows, can you guys possibly imagine Frieza not just being a one off character for this tournament and is actually kept around in some fashion afterwards?

Remember that little nugget of info where it was Beerus who told Frieza to destroy the Saiyan race? I always thought that Beerus or Whis would blurt that piece of information out, but now that Frieza is coming back, maybe, just maybe, Frieza himself might let it slip. Or he could end up saying it because he knows he's going to be going back to hell either way. He may not necessarily fear Beerus' anger.

From what I said in previous posts, basically this

So yes, I think it's a bit lame.

nah i think it'd be okay in the battle royale, where roshi is actually in goku's team, they just need to be on the level of not getting overwhelmed by the other super saiyans

why would they try to transform if they didn't even know transformations existed?

I address that in the post, but to add onto it, they know transformations exist, they just didn't know that they could transform. Given how simple they made the process seem, I think the accumulative effort that went into their training and just experimenting/messing around with their power over the whole race, throughout the span of time they have existed, someone would have already come across that relatively simple thing and have made that breakthrough.

I read that post, that's why I asked what you were basing it on when you said 'realistically'.
Things like the discovery of fire were basically accidents, or observations from accidents (like penicillin).
I'm struggling to find a 'realistic' scenario where these saiyans would do some very specific focus of energy for an extended period of time, accidentally.
It's just too oddly specific to just stumble upon without having observed it first.

Caulifa being able to go Super Saiyan for the first time without even having to get angry first, and mastering it just a moment later, kinda makes her the most genius out of all living Saiyans, right? Looks like she's not getting sidelined by Kale at all.

It also falls in line with Goten and Trunks learning SSJ because I have a hard time believing that Gohan berated his little brother just to get him there.

Like I said, we've been studying and documenting human anatomy for 3600+ years and have discovered 2 new body parts in the last 4 years.

And it wouldn't be over the whole race through the span of time. It would be a very particular, very powerful few.

That's what I'm getting at. I don't think it had to have been discovered by someone intentionally trying to transform. They are a warrior race who presumably trains and exercises their power regularly throughout their life. Basically everyone in that race is a "scientist". I think it's simple enough of a process to where it feels silly that no stumbled across that yet.

I think I could see Freeza asking to become the next God of Destruction since Goku and Vegeta don't seem to want the title.

It doesn't suit them very well, but it would be Freeza's dream job. That or they could go through the boring route and simply have him solely ask to be brought back to life.

They have a lot of new girls in the upcoming tournament.

There's no way both Kale and Cauli do great because then it pushes the narrative that everybody sucks besides Saiyans. Again. They'd steal the shine from the other girls. (Because they're not gonna have all of them stomp over the strongest warriors)

I sure hope 18 destroys the fuck out of Caulifla.
