TEKKEN 7 releases June 2nd (PC/XB1/PS4, Season Pass, Eliza, more details)

I feel like I'm gonna regret not getting the deluxe edition. I already bought the standard version from cdkeys I still feel like I'm gonna be missing out on some hype stuff.
Does anyone know if purchasing the game from cdkeys locks us out of getting the preorder bonus?

The ps4 (probably pro) will likely be the big tourney setting. I'm pretty sure it has been aside from the arcade version. I do think the pc version will sell better than the xb1 mostly because of the price. Casuals will jump on the commonly sub $40 price for the basic pc version. That same version barring sales will be $60 on xb1/ps4.
i didn't know the PC version was cheaper! huh. also as for tourneys it shouldn't matter if the game is running on pro or not, it's just a difference in resolution/graphics right?

Yeah, one of their reps on twitter said you only get the game, no bonuses.

I'd try for a refund and get the deluxe edition from gamersgate or humble.

Through key resellers it is. A lot are authorized resellers too. Even at retail prices it's $10 cheaper than console.
Yeah, I think the pro version just makes things prettier.

i think amazon is selling the Ps4 and Xbone versions less than $60 also. I preordered it there for $51. Not huge savings but it's something

What was wrong with T4? I remember the backlash but I was not tuned into the fighting game circuit enough to know why (Other than the last boss was Heihachi in a diaper)

T4 was controversial due to a good amount of things. Balancing-wise it was crazy. It was "All Jin Everything." The Laser Scrapper was king along with Steve "yeah you bet I'm broken" Fox. Others weren't balanced right either. The stages were uneven. The position change mechanic was in there. They nerfed jumping and backdashing. Nerfed launchers and punishing options. The gameplay was wild. The roster was controversial to a smaller degree.

The music, feel, look, just the overall aesthetic of T4 was it's best point. Characters had new looks and they were actually progressing. The story wasn't bad although T2 and T3 had better stories. It's backlash was just mostly for the gameplay.

Then T5 came out and completely fixed everything.
You reminded me that I need to do the same. I'll simply copy 'n paste right now and then update it for myself over the coming week so I can just plug and play when the game releases.
Yeah have fun with that. I hope everyone else does the same. It's a good format for us to just switch in and switch out.
oh yeah i forgot about how steam works as its own thing. also you think PC version will sell better? i thought the fgc in general is more of a console thing but i wouldn't be all that surprised if PC does better
i'm not surprised either, but i am surprised that (it looks like) the PC version will sell better than the xbone version
Yep seems that way.

do we have a OT name yet lol?

I still nominate

Tekken 7 |OT| Akuma & The Tekken 35

Some ideas for the OT title

TEKKEN 7 |OT| Family Feud
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Literal Tiger Uppercuts
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Punching grandpa in a Volcano
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Akuma fighting a Kuma
TEKKEN 7 |OT| King of Fighters? Never Heard of him
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Women are the Devil, literally
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Eliza sucks, literally.
TEKKEN 7 |OT| Mishima Zaibatsu, Drama Incorporated

I know that I have brought this up before in previous Tekken 7 threads, but I still don't understand the lack of deformable snow in Tekken 7's snow stage. I love Tekken 6's Manji Valley, as well as the Virtue Fighter 4 and 5 snow stages because of the deformable snow. Artic Snowfall in Tekken 7 just looks cheap / poor in comparison. Bums me out man.

Some stages don't have character shadows, maybe that's the day one patch stuff, probably not though.

The thirst is too real. I'm now asking my friends if they still have a PS3 that I can borrow until the weekend so I can get some TTT2 in as a stopgap.

If it wasn't for saving up to move across the country, I'd just go and buy a cheap secondhand one, but £65 is still £65 for a few days' usage.

One day Gon will be back, and my masterpiece OT title can be used:

Tekken |OT| Gon with the Jin - Frankly my dear, your juggles aren't worth a damn.

However, for the time being:

Tekken 7 |OT| Just throw all three of them in the volcano already.

or

Tekken 7 |OT| You've got to Jin it to win it.

I think it'd be funnier to be less specific with it.

Tekken 7 |OT| Press X to murder son

If we're gonna go that route then...

Tekken 7 |OT| Press X to be a good father

Early 2017 should be part of the OT somehow.

Tekken 7 |OT| June is still "Early 2017," right?

Though, there's this line from the T7 intro that I think would work great for a more serious OT title

Tekken 7 |OT| "Fighting is about who's left standing. Nothing else."
