Wonder Woman (DCCU) Review Thread (RT 93%)

People need to slow their roll - just because WW is fresh (if everyone miraculously agrees it's a B-, that's 100% fresh), that doesn't mean Justice League isn't gonna be a giant piece of shit.
 
Anoother thing to keep in mind is that rotten percentages are fickle with few rotten reviews. At 2/52 its 96 %. Just 3 rottens is gonna change it to 5/55 , which is suddenly 90 %. Still great, but a dip made from very few actual changes. As always, keep the average in mind. 7,9/10 is upper echelon CBM-movie.

Or just be happy she's slaying, y'all!

Last I checked, Snyder didn't write or direct this movie. And the problem with the last two movies isn't that they're dark, it's that they're poorly wtitten.

The most hype movie I was about this year got good reviews and well...it it sucked.

JLU reviews won't ruin my day. Plus I already know Transformers will get like 15% and I will still go and probably think it's ok.

Look, I remember when Steve Rogers' parents were killed right in front of him as a child, and he dedicated his life to making sure it never happened to anyone else. How he despised guns as the weapons of cowards and held the sanctity of human life above all else.

BvS (28%) -> Wonder Woman (96%)

Clearly, Justice League is trending towards 164%

It will be so amazing that Green Lantern will retroactively become Fresh on RT.

Actually you don't see much of Themyscira, you know as much about that place watching the movie as watching the movie trailer.
And Wonder Woman and MoS share the same premise. An alien coming to the depressing human world hoping to make a different.
Both ended up didn't change anything and the world remains a depressing place
. The only thing Wonder Woman did better than MoS is that there are more scenes showing her character development.

Average rating is 7.8. Top Critics is 8.8. Nobody here said JL will be great for 100 % now because of this. Slow down your roll.

No one cares that Captain America and Friends kill people. Just take it a bit more serious than coating it with jokes about swearing.

While I agree. It makes it easier to be optimistic about the DCEU in general. It's graduated from being all trash to being hit-or-miss. I feel a little more ok with getting excited about James Wan's Aquaman, Joss Whedon's Batgirl, and Matt Reeve's The Batman now. I'm still apprehensive about JL though.

To be fair, WW is totally Geoff Johns doing and I can see JL benefiting from that, even with Snyder at helm.

Joss is only finishing a few scenes. This is a Snyder movie, make no mistake.

Pretty sure he is just finishing the movie but more than likely won't make any major changes except at most a comedic scene or some dialogue at most but that will likely be unintentional
