If Beerus erases Frieza at the end of this arc, how do you think it'd be received?
Ya one more reason why i think the G black saga was unfinished and/or rushed to production
Rewatching the black arc, it really did have some cool fights in isolation. And good animation.
In isolation.
It almost tricks you cause then you remember that none of those moments seemed to really matter. All of those black and zamasu fights....just felt like repeats.

Well, if you think about it, that's a theme of the arc. Nothing they did mattered because in the end they lost.
heh.
but even while it was happening it felt pointless.
Vegeta pummeling black like that would usually mean something in old DBZ. It had the "feel" of one of those moments. But it was kind of inconsequential.
I find it funny that so far we have only had 1 and a half new main villains for DB Super.
As I said, I can look past the first one because it's par for the course. Everything* (mostly, Zamasu would still be around) could have ended there, but if it did we wouldn't have the rest of the saga.
It was Goku's job to seal Zamasu, not Vegeta, he should have made certain that A) he had everything he needed to do it; and B) have it all on hand before meeting Zamasu/Black.
Roshi shares the blame for forgetting the seal.
(I don't actually blame Goku for not putting the thing in a capsule, I'm just wondering why they did it different this time. Have they ever show what happens if you break a capsule with something inside?)
? At least 2. Unless you're not considering Beerus a villain.
heh.

Yeah this was one of the few moments where I was loving Super and it felt like watching Z again.
Unfortunately, it gets totally shit on in the next episode when Black pulls a scythe that can make clones out of his ass and the writers are so lazy that they have Black say he doesn't know whats going on either so they add more fluff and have a halfassed excuse not to explain anything.
I'm still hoping Jiren knocks down Goku and the weaker members of the team have to grind down an enemy none of them can beat alone. I don't see any reason why it can't happen, so that's my bet!
I've also been thinking that Jiren's going to have some powers that are more like a Western comic book hero than a Dragonball character, making this the closest thing we've had to Superman Vs. Goku. It would fit in with the arc being about how Goku isn't a hero.

Jiren is actually a stand user
the original Freiza arc was the coolest thing that's ever happened in the history of all media ever.
but seriously, they're bringing him back A THIRD TIME after killing him off? yeah. please. stop it. erase him.
Jiren is actually a stand user
Because Jiren isn't the only powerful fighter in the tournament.
His skill is that his skin turns metal. Thats as far as we know. Two figures dropped with his metal skin
Not to be that person, but it would be the second time after killing him off. He didn't die on Namek.
a wat
Huh?
No, man, he's like Superman. Metal skin is just one of his many unrelated powers. He's got super ventriloquism and super landscaping and shit.
-____-
he was left on a planet that exploded. the only reason he didn't die is so that they could introduce Trunks like a total badass
I think they mean new for Super. Beerus was created for the movie Battle of Gods and was transfer over into Super. As it stands, Zamasu and all version of him are the only new villains created for Super. I guess we could count Frost, but he wasn't a primary villain and Champa wasn't really a villain.
Meaning it makes little sense for the entire U7 team to focus on taking down one person since they're dozen of other strong people at the tournament like Hit and Toppo.
what about barry, the best villain of db history
That's the entire battle with Frieza until Goku went Super Saiyan. Every time the heroes get the advantage over him, nope he can transform or he was holding back a vast amount of his power.
Or how about the entire fight with Super Buu? Gotenks beat him up and his fusion broke before he could finished the job. Or Ultimate Gohan, beat Buu up, Buu just got stronger again by absorbing people. Vegito beats up Buu, throws the fight so he can rescue those who got absorbed, and they all died anyway because Kid Buu blew up the Earth.
And Black scythe wasn't an asspull since it was just an extension of his energy sword and ripping dimensions, Gotenks and Super Buu did that by screaming. The only real asspull was the endless clones.
Because Jiren isn't the only powerful fighter in the tournament.
Lets get some predictions going.
- there will be an interruption and the real villain will appear. Prob the grand priest
- pride troopers will team up with z warriors (obv)
- hit will get "unexpectedly" knocked out
- gohan ssj b?
- opposite power to zen-oh will be revealed
- GoD will have to fight for some reason. Possibly due to the revealed villain
- tien will be first down
- 17 sacrifices himself
- roshi reveals some insane hidden skill
Ill leave it at these for now
In recent years and seeing it again, It seems like Buu really was screwing with him until Gohan came. Not to say he was stronger, but he was wasting time.
Plus didn't Gotenks say his time limit outloud?

Gohan isn't getting SSB.

How are they supposed to repaint the toys they have now without giving him a new color?

Huh?
He really wasn't since Buu was mad that Gotenks beat him up. He just didn't kill them after they defused since he needed them for Gohan.
Point taken.
Looked to me like Gotenks was dominating the fight and could easily kill Buu and nearly does it several times, but Buu regenerates at such a ridiculous rate that he's already back at full health by the time Gotenks is done bragging.
