As it is now, Hit, Kale, Caulifla, and Frost are all in position to outshine him. Hit is the perfect candidate to job early on to Jiren though.
The mouse GoD reminded me of Biker Mice from Mars btw. Man I loved that show and the SNES game.
Pretty sure the "pathetic" part is just about herself, not the race. Isn't that a common anime archetype? The one who always thinks lowly of themselves.

What pic???The twist isshe finds a real Saiyan man in Goku but is disappointed that he's already married and has to settle. That pic of the two a few pages back is foreshadowing.
That was my first thought, but I started thinking that her thinking saiyans are pathetic could also be a possibility, though it does look like she meant she's pathetic for a saiyan.

she's the opposite of goku though, a gi is more than just battle gear, it's also a form of rigid discipline and pride. Cauli is more a delinquent, it wouldn't feel right if she actually wore a "uniform".
It's going to be hilarious if we're congratulating Goku on doing one smart thing this arc, and then it turns into a Toriyama forgot, well I guess Toei forgot is more appropriate, so it was still a stupid thing for Goku to promise.

Ono tweeted after this that he doesn't know if there is any connection between the two, he just drew it because he felt like it.
It was never set up for drama. They left on the shock of chosen Frieza and the next episode never hinted that everyone was going to be drama queens about it.
Her transformation is a Broly clone, but that is really where the similarities ends unless you count them being having meek personalities. Although most of Broly's meekness came from being mind controlled and her rage wasn't trigger by a baby crying.

I wasn't talking about design. I was talking about them as characters. Goku, Goten, and Bardock may have the same design, but they are not the same character.

Caulifla is literally one of the best characters Dragon Ball has seen in years. Can't put into words just how hype it is to see her showing off the power of a super saiyan and mastering it to such a degree so quickly.
Also, to all the people who hated the idea of Frieza being back: You're crazy. Frieza, even in that small exchange with Goku, already brings back an incredible feeling to this series. The potential is sky high for where it could be headed from a story perspective, knowing that it was Beerus who gave Frieza the order to wipe out the saiyans. Imagine how the other saiyans from the other universe could react to finding out universe 7 teamed up with a person so evil, someone who single-handedly wiped out the entire saiyan race in their universe. Frieza also has the presence of a true villain.
You have no idea where his motivations lie during, or even after, the tournament of power. And it's absolutely true that the potential for how much stronger he can become has to be something incredible, because he was giving Super Saiyan Blue Goku the business before his power/stamina began to decrease due to not fully mastering his gold form. He may even have potential possibly past even Beerus. Although that's not exactly something I ever see them touching. I also like how his title as emperor of the universe, or his degree of evil is played up in a major way. He will definitely add an even greater element to the tournament of power.

As characters is where I have to disagree Kale and Broly are similar. As a LSSJ they are similar, which is fine for now, because all Kale needs to do is control LSSJ to break that curse of being 100% like Broly's LSSJ form.
Maybe I need to rewatch the Broly movie, but Kale and her reason for transforming seem nothing like Broly's.

Broly got triggered by Goku's crying and Kale by senpai not noticing her.

That is what I've been saying when I stated she wasn't a Broly clone and all I got was "she looks like Broly, have similar moves and poses, therefore she's a Broly clone".
Completely ignoring the clear differences in the character like her actually being nice while Broly was always nuts and was made meek through mind-control. Her transformation being from self-loathing and jealousy is also different that, "Kakarot's crying made me upset". Not to mention, Kale's Berserk form made her violent, while Broly's form just unleashed what was already there. That and Kale has someone who can calm her down, while Broly was a mad dog.
If anything, Kale's is closer to TFS's version of Broly than canon Broly.
What if Goku wished for Frieza to be reincarnated? Worked for Kid Buu.
She really isn't just "fucking Broly" because she lacks the savagery that made Broly, Broly. She can be controlled and claimed down. Broly couldn't outside of mind control.
The could have easily made "Broly canon" but just dumping his ass in U6 and slightly changing his backstory. They didn't. They made another character who has different motives, drives, and a completely different trigger for her form.

Pre Simulcast people seemed negative. I feel the vibe has been better since then, and I enjoyed the episode, even if I wanted more people aggravated about Frieza, but then were just wasting time on something we know is going to be resolved anyway, so there's no real way to win there, and we'll still have banter about Frieza joining, so it's not like this is the last chance to get people mad about Frieza joining.

Yeah I really liked it and I'm in the "upset about Freeza's return" camp. The dialogue between Goku and Freeza was really well done.
Yeah, that's what I've seen around the internet so far as well. The only problem I've been seeing people have is with how Cali got SSJ2 so quickly and casually.
