how do you get that?

Bit of a stretch (I want to see Buu be relevant) but we see 2 gods communicating and the Mouse one says he has a plan with assassins coming in. Maybe his plan it to take Freeza for his team or just erase him
I know buu will never come back and he's my least favourite character for that

Kale likes him indeed. That's why his words hurt her more.

After watching this episode I think Frieza joining in on this is brilliant. I almost entirely love how he will be getting wished back to life out of this and has shown Goku he still has room for growth. This could totally lead up to an interesting future arc, the only thing that hurts it a little is we already had Return of F. And he returned earlier and was made into lunch meat by Trunks. The idea of Frieza is great, it's just the more he sticks around the less menacing he seems and he racks up more and more L's
He can't get wished back though. That wish was already used on the Earth DBs so Freeza would have to get access to the Namek, Super DBs or otherwise to get his wish. Goku not telling him that on purpose is him playing the long game.

Oh! I like this. Very clever of Goku. Kind of manipulative ("we need you to save the universe and you aren't getting anything out of it because you are evil but we will use your strength to survive") but strategic.

Still think Goku should have gone for Cell instead, sure he's not as strong as Frieza but the way how power scaling works in Super I bet he could just inhale and be at ssb level

does goku even know how freeza was resurrected

I think that he may try to resurrect Freeza only to find it is impossible

besides, the one who proposed the earth dragon balls was Freeza himself, not Goku

"Took me a while goku but now that focus my energy to my crown i have achieve Ultra Super Duper Perfect God Cell"
"Now i shall take your offer without any hesitation"

- I like that we got a little more insight into how the afterlife works. I do wonder what that means for Kid Buu, though. I can't see him repenting. Maybe it's not a matter of feeling remorse, but just not having the stubbornness to let your evil be cleansed?

- I like that they went to Uranai Baba again instead of the obvious route. Plus, it makes sense since it would only give Freeza 24 hours. That's something that makes it feel like old Dragonball, I think; where the heroes use the same information that the audience should have access to to figure out a solution.

- I like that it's clearer now that, yes, Hell is partitioned by planets. I don't think it'll happen, but that again gives us more areas to potentially explore. Other planet's Hells as well as their own checkin stations.

- It would be nice if they saved Kale's Super Saiyan form for a dramatic moment instead rushing through both hers and Caulifla's. And it looks kind of terrible. At least she's more interesting personality-wise than Broly. Hope she gets some unique moves later to differientiate her further.

- I've got hopes for Caulifla. She seems like a joke character for the most part, but between how she unlocked the Super Saiyan form and how she deflected Kale's huge ki blast, she's also looking like a fighting genius. I feel like if we see her get serious and get pissed, that's when it'll be a real show.

- Pretty sure I'm hardly the only one thinking this, but I feel like the gods designed by Toriyama (wholy or partially) are more likely to play a big role. It looks like we're seeing that with Quitela and they've been setting it up for Sidra. I wouldn't be surprised to see Belmod and Helles do something interesting as well, but to a lesser extent.

Piccolo mentions how he was revived with the Dragon Balls however many months before he comes to fight Goku. Not sure if that line was kept the same for Super

Rewatched the episode. I love how casual the Goku and Frieza exchange is, this is definitely the Goku I love. He was so fucking smug, serious and confident. More of that please! And damn he totally reminded me of Goku Black.

Was literally about to post the same thing. If you close your eyes during that exchange you would think you were listening to Black. Amazing!

Wasn't this changed when Dende made new Dragonballs ? If not, that'd be a clever thing... but what are the odds they'll pull another dumb move because they forgot ? :")

Definitely. I would drop Roshi and either Krillin or Tien depending on who's weaker

I think Gotenks immature actions during the buu saga gave goku a pretty good reason not to bring them along. The tournament is a battle royale. They not only need strategy but people that will listen to their strategies. And Gotenks is to much of a hot head for that.

If somehow the dragon balls didn't already get fixed to this rule they can just do the old work around. "I wish for everyone Goku has killed back to life". Next arc completely full of retreads

yeah did they ever say anything about that? It's one thing I can't remember, I've always thought they updated it after Dende took over since there has never been any tension about dying ever since, and Krillin was brought back twice by that same dragon even if you could technically say Dende's version was a different one, but... still

I'd take the risk. Roshi hasn't been relevant since the Dragonball days. If he was worth anything, he would have been out there helping to fight Radditz, Vegeta, and Nappa. The kids are on a whole other level. You need strategy, but you also need strength. Bringing in Roshi is like trying to sub in your coach for one of your players on the court/field.

But Roshi's been training!

Kid Buu is a mindless monster so he's actually very easy to cleanse. Basically he's just pure evil without any coherent thoughts or capacity to resist the cleansing process.

U7 must have so many Ogres out of jobs due to Beerus/Buu/Frieza destroying so many planets, lol

It's interesting that Vegeta and Krillin must have got to see a different checking station than the Earth's, when they died on Namek. I wonder if their Snake Way looked like Porunga.

Kid Buu wouldn't go there because he was wished back as Uub.

Omfg, Kale's transformation was way too much. Bahaha. I figured it would just kind of reference Broly, but it was just fucking BROLY with lipstick. I was laughing the whole time. God sometimes Super is amazing.

I don't think that was an actual wish, like Shenron forcing the matter. It was a matter of Shin going down to Yemma's place and saying "hey, Goku did the universe a favour by taking care of Buu, why don't we pay him back by putting Buu's soul on the express train to reincarnationsville?"

Caulifla i love youuuuuuuuuuuuuu

go away cabba
caulifla's only love is getting stronger

Is Cell even around anymore? What if he already got cleansed to live as a different being? 🤔

Then someone pretty strong should have been born somewhere in U7 already, but that doesn't seem to be the case considering how Kaioshin couldn't find anyone.

I just want to say, the locations in this show are absolutely beautiful. Earth's Hell was great, King Yemma's office was great, the planet (Sadal?) is amazing.

This was me.

The second they had her flying with her arms in, the explosive wave from her chest, the green energy sphere and finally the energy increasing......she is just a fem Broly in so many ways, though I do love her for it.

Also while watching the events it seems all but stated Kale will fall for Cabba eventually, but it would be way amazing if they actually had be Kale be gay and actually into Caulifa instead of the generic girls who fight over the guy scenario.

Maybe there doesn't really need to be someone as strong as him. It just happens and you're born anew.

I wonder if Frieza will tell Vegeta the truth behind destroying his planet lol, LSS Vegeta.

What if an alternate timeline Zamasu, instead of wishing to swap bodies with this Goku, wished to be part of him instead, and this tournament is his version of the Ningen extermination plan?

Joking about a situation doesn't feel like Frieza. He's never really taken a situation lightly before. That bothered me a little. Felt more like
TFS
Frieza.

Huh? Freeza's original shtick was that he was a faux polite businessman. He was always calm, uses polite language, and tends to give mocking favours to his enemies like only fighting with his feet. He took everything lightly until the Dragonballs were used, and even then he calmed down kind of quick and went into sadism mode.

The locations in DB might be my favorite thing about the DB universe. The rainy planet from Universe 6 where most of Hit's scenes take place at is another highlight. It kind of reminds me of the planet where two characters were having drinks at a fancy bar while their other teammate was helping rescue a cat from an industrial area that reminded me of Midgar from FF7. Super and the DB universe is just beautiful and Super has really broadened the appeal of the DB universe.

I have very mixed feelings on the Buu arc but once Buu is battling Goku and Vegeta on the Kai's planet, I think it's some of the best stuff in DB. That planet is gorgeous and a great place for a story ending fight.

I prefer the overall stories of Hunter X Hunter and One Piece to DB (there are tiers to strength in those but the playing field and ability for characters to matter in fights is a lot more level than it is in DB), but the universe of DB is so appealing that DB continues to hold my love and interest along those two other shonen.

I think the DB universe can benefit by feeling more about going on adventures than just fighting a Big Bad for whatever arc the story is on. Early DB had this. I think Super, Xenoverse and Heroes have helped bring this back to the DB universe

Especially those holy fuck. I laughed so hard when she said that.

Are people really thinking this will pave the way for Broly himself to be cannon? Hell no. This was so obviously a play on Broly and his fanbase, (and god damn greatly executed). Similar to how Super commented on "Baby" Vegeta and other things that have been thrown into the DBZ universe but aren't canon Toriyama obviously has commentary on.

You bitches get lady Broly. That's the beginning and end of it. And it's so much better this way.

I love the tonal shift of Frieza's hell the instant he is released from his cocoon. The colour palette change. As if his power simply being allowed to escape confinement transforms the whole area.

I wonder if Buu even went to Yemma's place considering he didn't die on Earth but on the Kai's world.

I doubt there is a 1:1 correspondence between living people and dead people. The cleansed souls are probably just redistributed as general energy for the living. Buu=Uub was a special case. In the Janemba movie they literally just dump souls as fluids into a machine.

I don't think frieza was joking he was just trying to position himself as superior in the negotiations.
Goku was so stupid when he asked Frieza if he thought he was in a situation to bargain, when Goku gave Frieza everything he needed to bargain by telling him the stakes and that they're desperate for a 10th member.
