Broly isn't "canon", Kale was designed as a reference to him. They haven't actually named her form yet, people are just calling it that because it's easy.
I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up having a name like Super Saiyan Berserker or something.

As was stated it's just a fan title and thus far nothing more.
They could call it LSSJ or SSJ Berserker aswas mentioNed because in her profile it mentions Berserker but they don't actually name this transformation anythng.
Broly's is still non canon but depending on how theu have Goku react that can easily change, however at this point him being Canon is really a non issue, his form, moveset and even lines have been kept and he is now living in a character that is canon and can be something more moving forward.

I'd be intrigued if they made Kale as dumb as DBM Broly who is basically invulnerable and has his power go up unbelievably every 5 seconds.
I mean its dumb as bricks but this is Super and it would at least be interesting to see how they handle it.

I would say at least thus far she easily out classes Broly in the intellegencenter deparment. She has a will and desire to help/learn from Caulifa and she has self doubt issues given the context of the Transformation. Broly's really had nothing going outside his Berserker form and Kale has something so hopefully they build on it.

Yup that's my favorite part of this episode. Goku seems semi-intelligent again and seems to be scheming.

If yall could pick anyone from the people we know to fight Caulifla at the tournament who would it be? I pick Vegeta in a father/daughter kind of way. I think he would be weirded out by it especially after having Bra.
I don't like them either. Really annoyed me how they trivialized them turning super saiyan. I'm sure this was discussed in the other thread but man was that tingly back thing was dumb. I hope frieza beats some U6 saiyans.
We should make a bracket or something to guess the order of characters being knocked out of the tournament

Then Vegeta turned Super Saiyan off screen (in the manga there was no explanation except to assume he just trained a lot, the anime added a filler sequence of him basically going "I wanted to be a Super Saiyan a whole lot"), and then the Super Saiyans immediately got their asses kicked by teenage cyborgs.
Then two children became Super Saiyans because ???? and the show even made a joke about it.
Then Goku and Vegeta achieved the form that was the pinnacle of Gohan's plot arc and character development by just regular training offscreen and it was treated as no big deal and barely used.
Then the children skipped that one entirely and became SS3 because they saw Goku do it once.

out of all that, only Goten's/Trunks' transformations are stupid, but not as egregious as these latest ones:
Caba transformed because Vegeta said "lol ur parents are dead" and made him cry for 5 seconds
Caulifla transformed because Caba told her "lol just make ur back tingle"
maybe I wouldn't mind it so much if they weren't like half the size of Bulma

Caulifla asked Cabba how you turn SS on and off after it's unlocked and Cabba tried to vaguely explain how it worked and thought that there was no way Caulifla could actually do it like that.

No. When Goku killed himself and King Kai, they had a convoluted plan of going to New Namek to wish Goku back because Dende couldn't reverse the resurrection restriction, then Goku said that's too much work for him and everyone agreed.

Cabba was getting destroyed by Vegeta and he had no reason to believe that he wouldn't go and kill his whole family and destroy his planet, that's about as good a reason as any to turn into a Super Saiyan.
I swear to god if I see one more person completely ignoring what actually happened in the scene where Caulifla turned Super Saiyan I'm going to smash my face through a wall. Cabba explained that focusing your energy into your back and creating a tingling feeling is how people who already have Super Saiyan turn the transformation on, Caulifla tells him to teach her that instead and Cabba says he can't, it's something you need to feel first. Caulifla turning Super Saiyan in that scene is supposed to show how much of a prodigy she is, not how easy Super Saiyan is to unlock, and Cabba is surprised by it as well. The scene is so god damn straight forward, it LITERALLY spells everything out and yet people keep ignoring the actual dialogue because "HUR BACK TINGLES".

Though I guess in Goku's case he's died a hero multiple times, lol.
I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a unique way to transform for Caulifla only. Especially since Kale tried it and it didn't work for her.

I'll laugh if during or after the arc a U6 Saiyan mentions the back thing to a U7 Saiyan and they have no idea what they're talking about with backs, they turn it on and off in a completely different way.
