We've seen them operating for a bit though. This isn't a Frost situation where we only have exposition.
IIRC, It was a script writer for the show saying he'd like to do that. But saying something like that so clearly strongly suggests it won't happen.
Presumably he just remained sealed after Trunks killed Babidi and Dabura.

Would certainly be interesting if we find that Frieza's race was never actually apart of Universe 7 to begin with, and somehow ended up in universe 7 due to interference by someone.

Do we have confirmation that is literally what happens to them? Seems kind of harsh reminds me of the perma-death Goku told Vegeta he'd experience if he died while being dead during their fight against Kid Buu

If Yamcha falls out and is erased from existence and the next arc is about hunting down the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect him while Frieza is after them..... I could live with that. Especially if Yamcha got cool training where ever he goes after being erased from existance

There's a good amount of evidence supporting their validity. The Japanese version is pretty elaborate as well, more so than fakes ever try to do. I'm leaning toward real.
Besides, we all thought the last round of stuff was fake too...
If these are real it would redeem Toei in my eyes. The double swerve would be glorious and I like that getting Frieza IMMEDIATELY backfires in Goku's face here.

Freeza is going double agent. He knows Goku is too good to not keep his promise, so what if he accepts U4 proposal to join their team only so he can betray them in the tournament, knocking them down to 9 fighters and probably sneak attacking some of their fighters before the reveal that he's not actually working with them. This would also further push the "U7 are the villains" narrative. Freeza playing dirty and essentially giving U7 11 fighters could be an interesting twist.
If the leaks are true I want this to be the title.
