Walked past my polling station on the way into town and no one there. 15 minutes later and I'm in town and see where those young voters are queuing... For the grand opening of Taco Bell.

Not sure why that was so surprising or depressing.

Where is this Taco Bell!?

When I was 18 (which was a long-ass time ago now), I didn't give a shit about politics. And not giving a shit basically meant it was right for me to not vote, because I wouldn't have known what I was voting for. I don't think I even knew what a manifesto was back then, I was too busy concentrating on my start at uni/drinking alcohol.

You don't live in Leeds do you? We have a taco bell opening here today too..

That's exactly the one. Walked past just as they let the first person in and everyone was cheering. Someone should have promised the right to burritos in the new human rights laws.

Also, what's going on here???

That's the practical, no-nonsense thinking that will bring us a red, white and blue Brexit deal back from Brussels.

Voting SNP, hopefully they manage to fend off the Lib Dems for this seat. Roll on indiref 2.

Also I think shitty take-away + booze is in order afterward.

Heh, I was probably more active than I was now at 18, mostly caught up with punk rock rebellion and not having other responsibilities helped.

I asked my 12 year old daughter who i should vote for, Hilary she said...

Anyway we went through the candidates Labour got the nod.Yea!

WTF. They've been in the UK for years. At least, there's been a Taco Bell in the food court at Manchester Arndale for years. But I'd rather eat dog food than go in that food court.

WTF. The whole of the UK isn't just England ya dobber. We got a Tim Hortons noo so get tae fuck with yer shite Taco Bell!

This all surprises me, from the country whose McDonald's chain refuses to add McGriddles to their breakfast menu.

(ahem)

well, at least somebody is paying attention

Sorry!

Also Quiche, EleventhHourSuperpower? Gutted it appears he is banned. He would be right up for giving me a bit of banter if Robertson loses his seat. #ToryGAF is waiting poised for the results. Right now it's a hornets nest of unhappy Labour and SNP voters.

Oh yeah. I guess Cyclops too (although his interest in the Tory party was mainly the posh totty). His ban was bullshit and all.

Five Guys is extremely tasty (well the burgers are, not the fries) but after Brexit nobody in the UK will be able to afford a Five Guys anymore.

Five Guys is the best fast food burger ever but way too pricey and when the Glasgow one is like across the road from a far far better (and cheaper) burger joint (Bread Meats Bread) I have no idea why anyone would ever go to it.

Listening to my colleagues talk about how Corbyn is a terrorist sympathiser and will destroy the country is really giving my confidence and hope a whack.

But I'll be voting Labour after work.

Hope it works out.

Having voted, I now get to sit back and spend the entire day anticipating our country collectively making another decision which makes me feel sick.

Fun times.

Sorry!

Another Tory banned? #conspiracy

I think the real score would be finding a UKIP voter on GAF. Where are you? There has to be one. Some 72 year old on dialup who likes anime.

I've only ever had a Five Guys in America and it was "ok".

Just voted Lib Dems.

Hoping they can take back Bath.

Bath is one of those ones where Jeremy Corbyn youth strategy might win a seat for lib Dems. Got a big boost in voting registrations bath did.

My area had one of the biggest. Bethnal Green & bow. But it's a safe Labour seat. I'd be shocked if all the extra voters were somehow not for Labour.
