post the cliff notes please

-Lot of "film" (I'm assuming this means footage rather than presentations and slides). Phil actually repeats it after Larry in away that make it sounds like....a lot.

-"Blankton of games" - Major Nelson

-"Lets make the show about what people care about, the games" - Phil Spencer

-Mentions looking back at previous E3's to reflect on where Xbox was at the time.

-"WHAT DO WE THINK ABOUT THAT SCREEN???" They keep teasing something, mentioning a "screen".

-Conference is actually longer now than it was when Phil tweeted about going over 90. Might have to talk fast.

By screen they mean the screen on stage.

Character assassination my ass. He comes in with criptic messages in threads shitting everything up and disappears. Basically contributing nothing where he can be called on, just FUD.

He now has the privilege of being the first gaffer on my ignore list.

Just patrolling threads. Pretty fucking sad

sooo, i wonder. you think Madden will come to the PC? WIth UWP, EA could easily do that. when was the last time they release Madden for Windows?

Going silent and not checking on here from tomorrow morning CET time. I wanna know everything, but I don't at the same time

Phil Spencer said:
The games that are in our show this year mean something to me, and that's not to say they haven't in past years, but I really wanted to put certain developers, certain ideas, into this show. So I really, I have something say..."why is this game here and why is this important to us?"

The most relevant quote from the interview.

Greenberg said it's longer than 97 minutes

So basically.....

Not a damn soul except for Spencer and probably a few others know about their show. So the fact that none of the "insiders" here know about any truly special things doesn't mean a thing. For all we know they have some fantastic surprises waiting for us.

But....... keeping hype in check nonetheless.

That would be a name that is even better than Scorpio. Xbox Spartan, Cortana onboard, now give it that metallic green/gold look and I am there day 1.

Fuck. That. Just embrace the muppetry and get hyped AF lol

Phil Spencer said it was longer than planned also. He said he tweeted out its over 90 minutes, then just said "its actually even longer than that" so Greenie is right.

Doesn't matter, never trust Greenberg.

After all the lies he's made, even if it's 100% true that the show is longer than 97 min, I still don't trust him.

All my years on GAF seeing this gif. I still don't get it. Anyone care to explain?

As I was at that game maybe I can help. Jaguar fans hate the Titans. HATE. We'll never forget 1999 when the Jags finished the season 14-2 with the only two losses coming to the division rival Titans. We won in the playoffs too, and then guess what, we had to play the Titans again who beat us for the 3rd and final time keeping us from going to the SuperBowl. Yeah, the Superbowl. This gif is from years later on Thursday Night Football I believe where we were getting spanked at home by the fucking Titans of all teams and putting forth a shit performance. This is one fans disgust.

That's interesting.

@Salty Hippo, remember the memorable E3 they talked about? According to this, it was this one that they were talking.

Eh, he was very clearly talking about 2016 before. He explicitly mentioned the year 2016 and that was literally hours before the conference and so it's not like he wanted to do something but had to change/delay stuff. He actually "believed" what he said back then. I hope what he's saying now is true but it's just impossible to believe it without seeing it. It's too easy to just go "nah this is what we were actually talking about lol". That doesn't get me more excited about the show at all. I'll believe when I see it, and of course I'll watch with an open mind. I want it to be true.

Granted, he sounded drunk as fuck in that 2016 interview so there's always a small chance he had the years mixed up. lol

It's the kind of games that Phil likes.

What kind of games does Phil like?

Destiny and indies.

Not in that sense like they misspoke, they said that they were preparing this E3 for the longest time, that they actually starting preparing this E3 last year, and then they go back to that interview last E3 where they said that because they knew that E3 would lead to this one. They also say a lot of things they did or spoke about on the last e3 will make sense know. (Probably talking about highest quality pixels and whatever).

Phil in the podcast said he is super excited about this show. It's a basically the first time Phil is putting his true fingerprint on xbox.

He said let's make the show all about the games.

So Xbox Engineer on Xbox Reddit said MS is keeping stuff tight lipped. Even he doesn't know scorpio name or price or what's at the show. That's pretty crazy.

Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/6gfulh/pre_e3_keynote_hype_not_just_for_fans_but_for/

Yeah, that's certainly how you prevent leaks.

-------------

Using Mixer on my Xbox right now and I can't get the video controls bar to go away at the bottom of the screen after going full screen? Anyone else?

Edit: moving the cursor over to chat before hiding chat works...weird

I hope Mixer's bringing in back-up hamsters for their broadcast servers; it's stuttering like crazy on IGN's pre-game show for EA, and that's only got a few thousand viewers on it. (There's no option to lower the resolution, either, like there usually is)

Very exciting. Especially after all the negativity this year, and lots of talk about how the show would barely have any surprises. It's still possible that it's gonna be a fairly "standard" show as in few surprises. However the fact that nobody knows a thing and now we know the reason is a exciting thing.
