Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
Hey! You guys know what fucking sucks? Giant Bomb right now.

You know what doesn't suck? Giant Bomb during [insert year or event].

I need Jason fanboying over that Arc System Dragonball game if/when they release a trailer and not just 2 blurry pictures.

and I need it now.

Jason is by far the best Giantbomber right now, fight me.

I listen to the Bomb/Beastcast because they go off the rails. Listening to people just talk about videogames gets boring.
Yeah, I like it because it's like listening to a natural conversation between people that actually have good comedic chemistry between each other.

If the Bomb/Beastcast ever became just rote retelling of video games news and impressions I'd get fuckin' bored of it really really quick. I don't go to them for that info, I listen because I like their personalities and I think they're fun to listen to no matter what they're talking about.

No, I still like the Bombcast and listen in every week, I'm just saying it seems ever since Ben joined it's turned into 'Fighting games or EVO talk' which I personally don't mind and Ben's jokes/puns provide the lols.

I don't really like the Beastcast anymore, Abby doesn't really bring anything to the discussions on the Beastcast and Jeff's taste in games is kinda crappy IMO.

Can't say I disagree, though the Beastcast is still the more entertaining podcast. I find the west coast crew to be a bit too boring these days.

I miss Austin and Drew.

The ironic part is that they are just playing the same game that Jeff and the rest did when they went from mags to the internet tbh.

Not even close. When internet games coverage started growing over magazine coverage, everyone was employed by a company and had to adhere to standard practices and policies that prevented things like reviewers also doing preview coverage. Some had writing degrees some didn't but there were editors and proper practices involved.

A YouTuber is a guy or girl who has none of that, can take in money in exchange for positive coverage without disclosing it, has little to no experience, and mostly likely talks out of their ass about stuff without actually knowing any of the details (such as how game development works). You're not making an apples to apples comparison.

Yeah no one batted an eye seeing iJustine there.

If that was the Bomb crew there would be some serious questioning.

so how excited are you guys for Microsoft tomorrow

i'm actually really hyped to see AC Origins

On a 1-10 scale, I'm at a 9. New hardware from Sony or MS is always exciting. Hoping to see some new IP to take advantage of all the giggity flops of the Scorpio.

I read a decent amount of gaming news/writing and am on Twitter a lot. So I don't turn to GB's podcasts for gaming news, though hearing reactions to recent events/announcements is always nice. I am totally fine with the diversions and find them generally way more entertaining than hearing them talk about average AAA games, honestly; unless they're particularly into something or it's wild (for good or bad reasons), sometimes the recent games sections can even drag a little. Part of the reason I like the podcasts so much is that they're pretty aware of that, which is why the e-mails section is the wonderful(?) mess it is. I would also totally be down for a few more tabletop/roleplaying specials with Austin each year, though keeping that for the holidays makes sense.

(I'll admit I'm like... months behind on the Bombcast, but that's just cause ever since the switch to video I've felt the need to watch it, and that's harder to fit time in for. I was behind on the Beastcast for a while too but that wasn't for any particular reason; I've caught up and still love it. I'm excited to catch up on the Bombcast soon, basically.)

In regards to the Microsoft conference hype, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm about a Brad.
Ouch.

I am looking forward to it but may not be able to watch live so all the bombshells will probably be spoiled for me.

In it mainly for Scorpio and the price of the unit. But am curious to see the new AC.
