I feel like EZA have gotten far too teary eyed over stuff that isn't that impressive or exciting. I get the Shenmue and FFVIIR announce trailers, or the return of TLG...but it's fucking Darth Maul. It's like they built a brand around melodramatic reactions to live reveals.
You're right, and when he gets three minutes to speak without interruptions and forced segways I enjoy listening to him. It's one of the reasons I keep listening to the shows each week even though I'm obviously a little frustrated with the content. I really enjoy listening to most of the folks on both shows talk about games, it just seems like that happens a lot less now than it did a couple years ago.
It sounds like this is probably not the most appropriate place to be raising those criticisms though, so I'll stop derailing.
That makes me actively want to avoid their content

Night shows follow the official E3 schedule, so Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night.
The conferences started even earlier this year, so that feels really far away.

I avoid the e3 stuff because everyone seems to be trying to get that viral clip for the attention.

That's probably the case, but I wouldn't put it past EZA either. I actually like a few members on their team and think they do good work, but I think as a whole they get too carried away around the "hype" that can come up during a conference.

I honestly thought the idea of weeping over Darth Maul in a multiplayer Star Wars game was so absurd that my sarcasm would come through. Foiled by Poe's Law again.
I have no idea how EZ Allies felt about the conference. I'm sure as hell not going to watch the snoozefest again for their commentary.
