Really hope Sony has some secret stuff for tomorrow because EA and Microsoft were bad and I don't care much about God of War/Days Gone/Detroit...

Metro Exodus and Anthem both look incredible to me and Anthem single handedly sold me. Sure it'll be available on Ps4 but I don't feel the need to get a Pro when:
-i already have a PS4
-theres a more powerful console out there.

I already own a PS4 so I don't need to be sold on buying one. But they made the Scorpio look like a worthy console. It doesn't bother me that a lot of the exclusives that were shown will also be on PC because sometimes its just nice to plug and play games on your couch.

Sure we don't know what it'll look like or run like on a base PS4 but its going to unquestionably run better on a Scorpio. My only real disappointment is the price.
But given that you are already invested in the PS4 ecosystem, and the XB1 having so little exclusives, you could trade your PS4 for a Pro at a fraction of the cost of a Scorpio, specially in November I expect.

If price isn't a big factor, you'd be better of with a PC to complete your PS4 imo.

Just my 2cp #shrug

Disappointing, with the infinite money they have over Sony, you would think they could have 3 to 4 unique first party studio releases every year.

this could be why they have it though ... ah

Being a bit more stingy with their funds. I still think the future is obviously content , digital structures so MS is obviously looking at that more so than just games

But yes, THEY can do both. I don't agree with their direction over the years, they have had time to straighten out the kinect issues for this year imo. I'll wait and see how it happens but I have no confidence right now. Sony will please me with something likely. I am just thrilled to get shenmue, hot shots etc

How likely is a PS4 Pro price drop announcement going to be now :\

If a price cut is in the fiscal year's plans it is going to happen regardless of what Microsoft is doing.
Sony doesn't care about MS, they care about hitting their 18m sales forecast.
349$ Pro during fall is really likely.

Since RDR 2 was not at the Xbox conference that must mean thay we will see gameplay at Sony's right???

Rockstar said a new update would be made during summer, doesn't sound like the game will be showcased tomorrow but later.

Sony has co-marketing for RDR2, so it never had a chance of showing up at the Xbox conference. But you also shouldn't expect it to be at Sony's either. Take Two have already said that they really won't have a major presence at the show except for meeting with partners and such.

Hopefully we get a look at PD's Fukuoka studio. They've kept that thing hidden ever since it was opened. Which is strange because I believe Kaz even moved to that studio.

I don't have to because I'm already excited for their games same with Nintendo, Microsoft for me had to bring it and they imo fell flat

For the most part I'm happy for what is coming to ps4 overall but not happy with Sony's internal direction and games overall with first party. Luckily they have games coming that I actually want to play genuinely .

As far as first party is concerned I think detroit is one of the ones I want most at least.

I genuinely doubt my PS4 will really be worth all that much. Also getting an HP Omen with a 1070 in it but it's like $2500 (though it does more than play games and comes with a 4k display).

And i mean, im not going to give up and trade in my PS4 for an Xbox One and im still very excited for PlayStations line up and future as ive very much enjoyed my time and their exclusives. I just don't have to be one or the other and like having a variety.

I really liked Microsoft's conference but all of that excitement died as soon as they announced the price.

Hopefully we see a similar amount of new games from Sony tomorrow.

GAF and 'lowering expectations' doesn't compute.
There will still be people piping hot angry that Jumping Flash VR, FFXVI, Bloodborne 2, and Half Life 3 aren't at Sony's show. :p
Im genuinely excited for all the "where's Bloodborne 2?" Threads and angry reactions. Particularly from the same people that told me its coming.

Should we lower our expectations for Sony?

Probably

Monster Hunter and Sucker Punch will most likely be the new announcements. The rest being updates on previously revealed games and 3rd parties.

I hope I'm wrong because that would be a mediocre show imo

You're being too pessimistic.

It won't be the best show Sony has ever done, but there will be new stuff.

At this point sony just needs to turn up after that underwhelming ms presser and they would have the better conference, arguably they have the better exclusive line up right now.

Expectations will inevitably be high after ms didn't deliver and the high, (too high imo), price and terrible name of xbox one x.

The fact that little has been leaked is encouraging, since there is potential for some great surprises. Since SIE formed 2 years ago have been 4-0 for great to legendary conferences so far.

Ofc keep expectations in check but I reckon sony will change their show a little to stick the knife into ms after the presser today.

You basically tell the guy to lower his expectation because the conference might not show lots of surprises that you want.

Did you watch last year's Sony conference. They sort of established it being just about the games.

I did and I liked it and I'm hoping it's more of the same (but better). BC is a pet peeve some of us enjoy so a functional BC program for at least upto PS2 will be great for people like me.*

* that being said I do have a laptop powerful enough to run PCSX2 in HD resolutions so I wouldn't be sad if there's no BC.

Well Jim Ryan did state that Sony will be pushing it's partnerships. One of them being RDR2. Then on the other hand, Take-Two said they really won't be showing off products.
