Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

My entire thoughts on the conference.

That was a very OK conference. Biggest surprise was Monster Hunter, the rest we pretty much knew about or game we played before. Where was Sucker Punch? RE Remake 2? Dreams? TLOU2? and a bunch of other games? Also, everything is 2018 lol. Jesus, UBISOFT had the best conference in terms of surprises, games, tightness and vibes. I almost forgot, what the fuck was with them hanging bodies? Normally Sony is the one to bring the new IPs.

All the cuts to the audience made me want to gauge my eyes out. I'm looking forward to watching the archive for Jason's reaction to Monster Hunter, sounds great from what I'm reading on here. I watched the conference raw on youtube and got into no problems, it was smooth sailing from beginning to it. Very underwhelming conference though.

Always killing it.

You know we live in the darkest timeline when Ubisoft of all companies delivers the best press conference.

Sony's one was rubbish, I though. At least Microsoft had few surprises here and there, Sony was just ticking boxes we already knew and did very little else.

EA one was the worst though.

Projecting the 2nd half of 2017 for me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_in_video_gaming#July.E2.80.93September

July - FFXII
August - Uncharted TLL
September - Dishonored 2 DotS
October - The Evil Within 2, Ass Creed Origins
November - Ni No Kuni 2

here i go

June: FFXIV: STORMBLOOD
July: Most likely more FFXIV: STORMBLOOD
August: Absolver then more FFXIV: STORMBLOOD
September: If I'm in a deep enough depression, Destiny 2.
October: Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein
November: Ni No Kuni and FFXIV: STORMBLOOD will most likely have a patch by then.

The Sony conference gets an F from me

nothing exciting announced

nothing exciting talked about

spiderman looks nice sure, but that's still a while away.

Like

Sony failed. Hard. They haven't talked about their goddamn PSN shit.

The GB thing is a total mess, their stream keeps jumping and they think it is weird cuts and bad production.

The bit in the helicopter and the end with Miles Morales they said they "botched the production of" actually worked on the stream I saw.

I'm sure they'll figure that out eventua... who am I kidding.

Games I saw that I'm looking forward or find interesting:
-Tacoma
- Ooblets
- Anthem
- Minecraft Update
- Rabbids v Mario
- Destiny 2
- God Of War

I knew about all these games before E3 except for Anthem. Didn't discover anything interesting and what I saw from the rest just looked like more of the same. Never played any God of War but that was a cool trailer.

I find more interesting games scrolling through my Twitter timeline every day. Personally, Sony dropped the ball altought their first half of this year was really strong so it's not like I lack stuff to play.

How did Ubisoft have the best conference?!

This is my assessment too. Oddly enough, UBI Soft had the most consistent and best conference of this year outside of Devolver Digital. EA's conference was a snoozer, Microsoft's Conference wasn't terrible, but they also didn't have much to show in terms of original content. Besethda had a short and fun conference, but they needed some live demos on stage. Sony had a better pre-conference than their main conference.

My list of games that interest me:

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus
The Evil Within II
Metro Exodus
Beyond Good and Evil 2 (if it doesn't get canned again)
That new run and gun game from the creators of Resogun
Skull and Bones (I like the Pirate aspect)

Not sure what else...

Highlights of E3 so far

Mario x Rabbids x Xcom
Dragon Ball Z at a major conference
Microsoft is selling a new Duke controller
SOTC Enhanced Edition

Yeah.... rough year.
