Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

Sony's definitely moved on to PSX as their primetime thing.

This feels like more of a "hey, shareholders like it when we go to E3" or something like that.

OMG Ben lol

I will say that for folks like myself that watched the Sony conference in a theater, the new format is wonderful. No filler stops the crowd from getting antsy. That being said, they should have done an interactive demo or something for the game from the Until Dawn folks for a change of pace.

Meh, I enjoyed the Sony presser more than Microsoft's, but that's also because I actually own a PS4 already & plan to play the majority of what they show every year. With Microsoft, I keep waiting to see every E3 if this'll be the year they finally convince me to get a XBONE and it still hasn't happened yet.

I kinda disagree but we'll have to see how the next PSX goes to be sure.

can't take anyone that call Rabbids a highlight seriously, sorry

Which is kinda hilarious since he was constantly shitting on them when the game was getting traction.

From what I gather the people who are playing the game on the show floor have had positive things to say about it.

Some hope then but i'll wait until its out.

Don't give much credence to previews

One knock I'd have against Mario and Rabbids is, you know, take away Mario and would I be excited for a Rabbids X-COM game? Honestly, probably not.

But at the same time, take away Spider-Man from [AGILE SUPERHERO ACTION GAME] and I probably wouldn't be as excited about it either.

I've always felt that Sony uses PSX to prop up their more niche titles i.e. just about anything from Japan whereas E3 is more for the general stuff.

Weirdly, Mario x Rabbids made me want a Switch more than any other game i've seen so far. Splatoon and such are great, but something about the rabbids game really made me want that hardware.

They didn't hate the 2015 conference, they were just reserved. Like they always have been. People just contrasted it with the embarrassing gametrailers gif and said look how cynical Jeff is he didn't get up and do a triple backflip for Shenmue III, a franchise he has openly discussed as disliking

dunno, arkham games were successful enough

game might fill a niche switch doesnt have right now, but when i have the opportunity to play xcom or play the xcom knockoff with..... rabbids.... i'd take xcom every day

tbf it really sucked

The fact that they don't talk about anything that they're showing is worse

Like

why should I be excited

I appreciate that Sony has tried to keep the boring stage talks and demos to a minimum, but titles like Days Gone and Spiderman really needed a more expansive and guided playthrough with commentary. These incredibly scripted sequences really don't give you a good idea of what moment-to-moment gameplay will be like, or the overall design goals of the game.

Are they going to do a talk show like when John Vignocchi comes down and talks about his autocorrect issues and tweets Dave Lang's number?

It's coming...right? With Nintendo only doing 30mins, not much else to look forward to for e3 otherwise.

How did they even do them before...I remember they had a show for each day of e3....did they teleport from e3 to the giant bomb set each day?
