That was a pretty alright conference. Definitely top 3 material. Super Mario Oddyssey looks fucking INSANE and it's releasing this year. Fucking helll this year. They just announced Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS on Treehouse as well lol.

From what they've shown of this remake, it seems alright. Looks to have that MercurySteam quirk where basic enemies seem to take more hits than they should, probably to force you to use the melee counter to keep enemies back. Hopefully it won't turn out to be the same melee counter->pewpewpew pattern for every enemy. At least the boss battle shown was the right length/challenge (2 melee counters). I'll keep my eye on it, at least.

Arg, I just wish Nintendo would put up incredible fan games like AM2R on their storefront like Valve did with Black Mesa and Half-life 2 Update. It would both make them money and free up resources for other stuff.
