Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

Limited to movement? My top games in VR are probably seated games like Chronos or Edge of Nowhere.

They rely less on the "Oh hey you can shoot a gun and open a drawer" and just showed me how much more immersive games can be.

I meant games seem to be limited to teleporting. If the titles you've mentioned use other methods then I clearly suck!

Otherwise this couch is rad!

I still hadn't watched that Black Mirror episode yet (I was watching it with a friend and we stopped months ago right before it), so my opinion on this entire segment has turned because spoilers.

It's not that much of a spoiler. The episode reveals that thing pretty early on. You should still watch it, best ep of Black Mirror.

Hah, I was mostly kidding. I've heard great things about that episode so if anything I'm a little thankful that it reminded me that I should go bug that friend about watching it soon.

I wonder if JV's fiancee Colette will be on the stream. She has industry experience working at Square Enix and would add an interesting dynamic, given JV's infamy on stream lol.

They are 3rd person games adventure games so you are sort of floating above and behind them.

Yea teleporting is sort of a downer, but it doesn't really break the game for me especially with multiplayer games. Played through Arizona Sunshine and Rec Room quests with a friends and you quickly just lose yourself because you are at least more distracted by whats going on and goofing around with your friends.

They is also a lot of experimenting. From Other Suns is using a method where when you move your character it pulls the camera out into 3rd person and then when you get to where you want to be it snaps you back into first person. So at least it doesn't feel hacky just being able to zip around everywhere without consequence.
