Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

<> LIFE!

Seriously, this is something I look forward to so much every single year. Legitimately great guests and interviews (Jens from Wolfenstein 2, Ed Boon, sooooo many more), and some really terrible (actually freaking awesome) ones such as the ex-Midway crew. Jeff just keeps getting better and better at hosting and interviewing with each passing year!

Oh, and Alex is amazing.

Hours and hours of content. No wonder June is so stressful. These duders keep it real for all of us! For real, much respect to everyone in every department (and guests especially!) for keeping us informed and entertained in the "real e3 experience" ❤️.

I really want to know where this idea comes from that people are allowed to smoke at Gamescom. It's not. There are no smoking signs everywhere and you can't smoke in public places by law. If someone did they are just some asshole who should have been called out.

Also I have been there for years and have never seen someone smoke except for outside.

Oh god the last segment is so good again. It's also funny how dead silent the room is, because no one wants to miss this trainwreck.

Thanks to this thread I discovered the Video Buddy app. And thanks to Giantbomb uploading the nite feeds as separate sections, I have somethign to watch on the train home for the next couple weeks at least.

Love this section but I expect Jeff to be dead for the next week. He's such a great host though

Lang asked Jeff why Giant Bomb doesn't make those cool E3 or travelogue videos anymore.

lang's not wrong though

that year they did both the conference streams and the daily edited wrap ups was definitely the best year for GB E3

i get they don't have the manpower now but those were so great

People that haven't been to Gamescom in a decade plus.

I'm curious to know what the video producers are doing when the show floor is open. I know that 5-6 hour long nightly livestreams are probably taxing and difficult but I'm somewhat surprised there isn't aren't a couple showfloor videos that come out.

Abby mentioned getting B-roll in the My First E3 podcast so I'm guessing there is some video thing in the works.

Oh my sweet gentle Jesus... I just watched the Boyes, Johnny V and Lang segment. Just like last year, the best thing to come out of the entire video game industry.

Such a great E3 effort from these guys. There's never been a better time to be paying for exclusive video content on the Internet, even if this week's was free, I'm just happy to be supporting these guys.

Yup, great news. Hopefully Sony or MS comes to the rescue and buys them up. Would be a good win for MS to get Hitman to themselves.

if i had to make a guess i'd have thought deep silver tbh

although also nintendo should buy them and make them make a mario game, since a hitman mario game hasn't been done before

Third party would be best for all, for sure. Something about it though (mainly the fact that IO can't really charge an arm and a leg) makes me think it would be smart for a first party. IO is talented as hell, so they could be put to use for things other than Hitman as well.
