I think it's only been one person so far and I bet it was cancelled if Amazon weren't able to put the pending transaction on their cc card.

Amazon is generally pretty good about keeping orders in place. I remember during the $99 N3DS last year, some people that had multiples ordered had it knocked down to 1, some even reported outright cancellation; but that could've been for any reason. (Bad cc, etc)
