People who have rarely or never been excluded from events based on their gender or race before suddenly seem to care about equality a hell of a whole lot more when said exclusion involves them, no matter how trivial the event may be.

Your response to a thread about a women exclusive gaming event being targeted and harassed into shutting down was to boohoo about a post "generalizing" white men. Protip: white men aren't in any sort of risk regardless of how much generalizing is assigned them. They are the dominant social power in western culture, if not the world.

But also the fact you said goodbye just to come back in 10 minutes is a bit wacky.

I don't agree with what happened with this event at all. Things like this don't happen where I'm from, there are many female only events around here. Chances are, if you have an interest in a certain sport or hobby, there will be a good chance. Gaming isn't as big around here, but if their was to be a female only event, it wouldn't be stopped. That's what I grew up with. Does that excuse this? Absolutely not! It makes it even more disgusting imo.

The reason I commented in the first place is because I read the first page, skipped to the last and saw people talking race, and drawing things from comments that didn't exist.
