Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight finalized for Aug. 26 - It's on!

Tell me about how those bitches deserved it and they're just bitter Floyd is successful.

It must be so hard for you, being reminded about domestic violence on a video game forum. So tiresome, everyone should just accept and get over it, am I right?

Yes, you should. All your bitterness doesn't hurt anyone (least of all Floyd), but you.

Floyd being a POS doesn't make him any less a boxer.

I'll be sure to tell the NCADV, Al-Anon, and Battered Women's Justice project that they all need to shut the fuck up and get over it. That being "bitter" did nothing for them.

You should sit down before you dig yourself into a deeper hole. You're not a therapist and you don't know anything about me, it'll work out better for you if you accept that not everyone on this forum gives Mayweather a pass just because he makes a lot of money in the ring.

Floyd is a piece of feces outside of the ring but this discussion is about the upcoming fight.

Floyd is a near magician in the ring. Some things he does are borderline suspect. (Clinch, elbows, etc...)

If someone wants to start a thread about how crappy of a human he is outside of the ring I would be happy to contribute.

That being said, Floyd is going to cakewalk in this fight.

No, if I get actual proof then I will address that issue.

I'd rather just talk about fights but this almost comes off as you playing dumb, man.

In 2002, he plead guilty to two accounts of domestic battery.

For a separate incident in 2003, he was convicted of two accounts of domestic battery. The charges were dropped in 2008 "per negotiation".

Most famously, he plead guilty in 2011 for beating the mother of his children(in front of one of them).

I'm sure you've seen how he objectifies women that he surrounds himself with. He clearly doesn't think much of the female gender unless it's his mother or daughter.

(Before anyone brings it up, Pacquiao is a shit person too but he's not the subject here)

If Conor hit as hard as Mosley wearing MMA gloves Aldo would be a vegetable right now.

Don't be dumb.

I don't think you can set the bar much higher than one hit knock out in 17 seconds against an undefeated champion. Trying to criticise the Aldo KO is pretty laughable. Mosley would NEVER have landed that opportunity

I'm sure Mosley might win on a punching machine but alot more goes into the power of a strike than just the force your body generates

At least he's not playing touch-butt in the park anymore.

"You've never seen these moves."

Who told him this video was a good idea?

Conor is all about misdirection in his videos. You'll find his videos in the lead up to Diaz 2, Alvarez etc. showed alot of things he never even used or were part of his plans.

Dunno if that's the case here, but releasing that terrible spar I can't help but think so

Floyd does not watch spar videos of his opponents. He figures out what they can and can't do while in the ring so the videos are worthless, Conor will be what he is in the ring and floyd will then figure it out.

Some words from Conor McGregor's sparring partner.

http://metro.co.uk/2017/07/03/floyd-mayweather-will-face-an-unbreakable-and-unpredictable-conor-mcgregor-says-sparring-partner-6751213/

Tiernan Bradley is a welterweight hailing from Tyrone in Northern Ireland and has been helping McGregor prepare for his showdown with Mayweather on August 26.
McGregor has been given almost no chance against the undefeated Mayweather.
The Irishman will make his boxing debut against Mayweather and Bradley believes McGregor’s greatest asset is that he is ‘unbreakable’.

‘My biggest takeaway from the rounds was the pace that we fought at and that he seemed unbreakable'

‘People are talking about his left hand and whether the power will be there with 10-ounce gloves – he lifted me off my feet with a right uppercut in 16.’

‘He’s powerful, fast and light on his feet. He’s very good at getting in and out and connecting.
‘He’s so quick on his feet it’s very hard to judge the distance with him.'

‘He’s so fast and unpredictable – that’s a very dangerous combination.
‘I don’t think Mayweather has ever boxed anyone like that.’

More in the link.

My biggest takeaway from this is that he described McGregor as "unbreakable", this just says to me that McGregor is getting hit hard and often. Mayweather already faced someone who's light on their feet and good at getting in and out in Pacquiao, don't see this being a problem for him.

Sigh...

See man. I would like nothing more than to just talk about the fucking fight ITT. I've been talking about the fight. Chumley's schtick is played out and he's basically thread-whining at this point.

But if ya'll suckas wanna talk about the abuse, then I can't ignore posts like this. FUCK this post. Holy shit. If I waltzed into some Donald Trump thread and started talking mess about wanting proof that he was touching women without their consent and caping for all his sickening behavior, I'd be fucking banned, and rightfully so.

The last thing I want to do is backseat mod, but you should be ashamed of yourself for this post, and this type of shit shouldn't be allowed on GAF. Take it to 4chan or wherever the fuck else you can get away with domestic abuse apologizing.

Fuck outta here. That is some sorry shit.

...? No, that's pretty much where the power in a punch comes from, the person throwing the punch.

I'd also doubt that Aldo's chin is anywhere near as good as the people Shane Mosley has cracked over the years.

At least you don't have to pay for the press conferences since they will be the most exciting part

Someone I know actually took a $50 bet saying Conor would win.

I would look at the history of ppv upsets/rematches and move from stifled laughter to the very real possibility of a $50 loss this time. I'd give it a 60/40 shot to mayweather based purely on crooked boxing.

This is the biggest event in decades. You know what's bigger? Two events.

If Mayweather loses, I don't see him coming back. He already blew his undefeated record to an 0-0 fighter. He'll be on suicide watch.

Even if you don't believe Conor can win (I think he has zero shot), betting a little something on 7 to 1 odds isn't a bad gamble. Shit I might do the same, just in case there's some circus fuckery.

Angle, point of impact, the opponents defence and momentum are all other huge factors besides punching power.

Conor didn't knock out Aldo because of inhuman strength, he knocked him out because he baited him for months, had him pressured in the ring, he studied him to a tee, he knew exactly the punch he would throw, he slipped him with his agility and threw a precise counter punch on the chin of a man moving forward. The actual power of his shot was the last factor in the result of the KO

If it happened he would be in on it, not suicidal. It would literally double his final payday. I'm not casting aspersions on Mayweather so much as pointing out how crooked boxing is.

Exactly this.
If Mayweather is all about the money then losing to Conor first time actually makes perfect sense. Lose first time, win the rematch, book the trilogy. Make insane piles of cash.

There are rumors going around within the boxing community that McGregor has been ko'd during sparring. It was originally believed that Brandon Rios ko'd him but now the rumor is that it was Jessie Vargas.

Update: looks like it was neither of them, but someone knocked him out.
