Capcom probably has a set in stone of exactly how and when they show the game to the public. They aren't going to deviate from it because multiple companies are involved now, not just Marvel and Capcom. So they are trying to keep this as by the books and on schedule as possible.
If the schedule does not say "release direct feed footage of high level matches" then they aren't going to do it even if the game is being shredded online. It's not a matter of budget but rather how Capcom wants to handle PR for the game.
In the best case scenario, they are actually working hard to polish the latest build and then will release footage of that to show that they are in fact listening to the fans.

Thinking of kids watching this and going "who the hell is that is pretty funny. Also pretty much confirms there will be no dismembering here even if the blood was black instead. Disney wouldn't show off the game if it even had anything remotely like that.

I think they're also showing off Battlefront 2, so they aren't really shying away from T-rated games. Maybe they can just not feature Jedah as prominently (if he's revealed by then).

Even though BF2 is rated T. There's no blood or dismemberment, so it kinda fits with the movies(much like the marvel movies being PG14). It'll be interesting to see what capcom does with him. Only idea where he could do that is if they made him a robot like Alisa in telken
I'm not sure if they'd go for a cop-out like that.

Only idea I have is they copout or they don't include it. Hopefully the ESRB is shown soon. Since any mentions of dismemberment will be there.

Capcom is intentionally not showing the game because they're afraid of backlash. The less they have to show the better. They want to release this as soon as possible, get as many sales as possible and get the majority of their team on other projects.

They're going to being showing shit at d23, sdcc and maybe evo. This is absolutely huge month for the game. DR2k is full of shit and I'm not sure why people are still humoring him at this point

What I'm talking about is that Capcom is on a budget and that budget doesn't just include the actual work on the game but also the marketing and advertising of the game.
Companies that want to hide games typically wouldn't put them in the hands of the fans at tournaments and trade shows.

And I think the PS one kinda confirms that characters will get multiple alts. Hopefully each alt has its own set of colors like in SFIV/SFV.

These trailers were masterpieces. They showed the best assets of nearly every character and pushed a story dynamic that made you care about what was going to happen next with one unexpected character after another popping in for a moment in the spotlight.
The marketing for MvC3 was phenomenal. I was glued to the Capcom-Unity streams that were just attendees playing the game at whatever convention they were streaming from. As much crap as I gave it later for not including Mega Man, it sold 2.2 million units for good reason.
