Yes that's the 2016 model from the 4k TV thread. Good picture but AndroidOS is a pile of crap.

E.g. You can't record freeview while youview is enabled, but catch-up programs don't work if it's disabled. And other annoyances if you actually want to use it as more than a monitor.

I think so. Sounds like there's an overlapping student discount also applying to it.

Ordered a PS4 copy, MP is garbage but really enjoyed the SP - would love to play through it again, now i'm not rushing to trade it in.

Does anyone know if the student discount is kicking in for any other offers?

Used my girlfriend's Student Prime account to get it for £0.00. That's the price I always said I'd buy a new Call of Duty for so it's just serendipity. Let's see if it goes through (and if I get the £5 voucher it said I could have if I chose delayed delivery).
 
Fuck it, I'll pick it up for free. Sure, bought the version with Modern Warfare for my Dad back in February, but I can always sell it back to CEX or something for a couple quid.
 
A SanDisk 128GB MicroSD is on for £27.49 for anyone after a relatively cheap expansion for their Switch.

A very silly question: if I don't plan on buying many games digitally for my hypothetical Switch, is it worthwhile getting something like this? As in, the games play from the cartridge and don't need to be downloaded a la the PS4 or Xbone, right?

Correct, you won't need one unless you want space for digital games or screen captures.

Unless there is any massive DLC you'll be fine from the cartridge for day-to-day games.

VR is one of those things where I've enjoyed what I've played of it, but know I won't have either the PC I'd want to run the games at the resolution/framerate I'd like, or the space to play without bumping into things. Living in London is expensive and cramped. If I ever move back up north I might jump in, hopefully this is a sign of costs coming down generally and VR starts to move into the space where it's cheap enough for the mainstream.

Yeah, about that... they cancelled my order, not enough supply.
Anyway, I don't know why, but the guide is available dirt cheap from a few amazon third party sellers (like bookdepository, I ordered from their site directly since they wont ship to Austria via amazon...), like around £11 cheap.

The high price stopped me jumping on the PC VR bandwagon even though I have a PC which can run it. Now that the price has come down to a level I'd buy, I'm thinking I can hold off until the next generation of headsets appear.
 
Any good prices on resident evil 7 on the ps4? Most places seem to be still selling it for £30+. Drop the price goddammit.

I'm just going off this thread and the associated video where Dark10x calls it "the worst instance of bad frame pacing encountered to date". I'm not usually massively sensitive but it really looks gruesome. I guess it depends on how easily one could ignore such issues but given the nature of the game (based on my time with the demo) I'd say it would severely hamper my enjoyment of it, as much as PS3 skyrim.

I ended up not grabbing the bone version either, I'd rather not give them my money even at a cheap price, it'll get cheaper yet.
 
In Portugal there are several stores selling Nier Automata for 40€, Fnac is even selling day one edition at that price. Not exactly a steal, but lowest I've seen.
