Uber Entertainment is proud to announce that Dino Frontier will be available on August 1 for PlayStation VR. You can buy the game digitally for $29.99. PlayStation Plus members can pre-order starting today with a 20% discount.

We announced Dino Frontier last December at PlayStation Experience. Since then, PlayStation gamers played updated demos at GDC in March and E3 in June. Now it’s ready for gamers across the globe. It’s been a thrilling ride and we couldn’t be more excited.

Dino Frontier lets you build and manage a frontier settlement in a world where the Wild West and Jurassic collide. You assume the role of Big Mayor overlooking your settlement in tabletop-scale VR. You’ll be directing Settlers to harvest food, chop lumber, train dinosaurs, and more!
We’ve strived to push the boundaries of VR interaction. There’s no other game like Dino Frontier. Reaching down into a vibrant world to pick up tiny people is a magical experience.

We offer innovative camera controls that are both powerful and comfortable. You can zoom in, zoom out, pan, and rotate with ease. Clever interactions provide detailed information without overwhelming UI.

Of course Dino Frontier wouldn’t be complete without dinosaurs! There are no horses or bison in this world. Instead you’ll be training settlers to capture velociraptors, ankylosauri, the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex, and more.

Lol there are other "be giant and pick stuff up" VR games. I know a director has to sell their game but sheesh.

Anyways it looks cool! We need a lot of strategy games in VR.

I don't get the point of this post
Ppl get hyped for things that interest them?

Easy-A get excited about literally everything, and oversell things. Just taking it with a grain of salt.

-edit- your post is that my post is pointless, when my (pointless) post is that 'e-a hype' is pointless, we're full circle and off topic. Let's not derail the thread this early. I like the Allies, I just don't take them being hyped as meaningful in any way.

Still don't understand the point of the post or trying to call them out because of their hype. What are you talking with a grain of salt they aren't selling you the game

While I hope this is gonna be a good time to get me sucked back in to vr, a strong breeze with the right brand or setting makes half the allies swoon with hype.

I understand that it's hard to know when cynicism is so prevalent but that's called genuine enthusiasm. I'm disregarding your hyperbole of course.

Really looking forward to this. Looks like the kind of VR experience that really takes advantage of the medium.

I'm really interested to see a developer's 2nd take on VR, assuming they learned a lot off Wayward Sky. It seems pretty surprising to have a 2nd title ready in such a short amount of time, do we know if this is actually the same team, or just the same studio?

Looks pretty great. Do we know if this is getting a PC release though? If not, I'll just get it on PSVR if it reviews well.

Most likely just a timed exclusive. But just like Wayward Sky, it's still not on PC yet, which I'm pretty sure is a timed exclusive too.
I have no idea on what is going on in the background, just speculating.

First time I've heard of this game.

I'm getting a real "dungeon keeper" vibe from it, which is a good thing. Also, 3rd-person VR works well and it's good to see another example of it.

I'm interested.
