Dino Crisis would have sold better than Onimusha.

I dunno know man, Onimusha sold about twice as much as Dino Crisis. Admittedly it had more games in the franchise, but not twice as many.

There's still a solid market for feudal Japanese action games. Is the same true for dinosaurs?

I hope they give us a new one. Dino Crisis 1 & 2 were fun. It doesn't feel like a particularly safe bet for Capcom though.

Then again, they made Exoprimal, which no-one was asking for, so they might as well give us a modern DC in RE Engine.

I hope they make stick to the original and keep the shooting down compared to RE. Meaning, you rather have to put the raptors to sleep than to gun them down.
